I ran across the yard as a large dog ran after me, snarling and snapping at my ankles. I went straight into the woods, not thinking about the curse and I went up a tall, thin tree. I grabbed onto a branch and clinged for my life as the dog continued to bark at me. I shivered and it started to rain. I cursed silently and felt something under me crack.

My branch broke and I went down to the ground. I fell to my side and I groaned and held onto it. My ribs felt like they were on fire and I laid down on the ground. I whimpered and heard the dog coming up to me and I went into a ball, giving up,

I heard a thump and I looked up. There was a blade in the dog now, an axe. Blood seeped through the wound and I sat up, holding on to my ribs.

"Are you o-okay?" I heard someone behind me. I looked over and saw a boy around my age. He had orange goggles and a mouth guard on. Another axe was in his hand and I nodded, slightly scared at the man.

He went up to me and picked me up, and I groaned out from my ribs. He looked down and quickly ran to my house and sat me down on the bed.

"H-hold on..." he said while twitching and I nodded, seeing how I was d=fading in and out of conscience and wondering how he knew where I lived. I eventually passed out.

TIME SKIPPPPPPP

I woke up in the morning, my head slightly burning and my ribs bandaged and I blushed at the thought of that man helping me. I sat up slowly and saw a note.

I sat down the note and blushed and I sat back up. A circle and x was on my wall and I was slightly shocked.

"O-Oh...you're awake." I heard a voice outside. I looked over to my window. It was the guy from last night, Toby. I went over to the window and reluctantly opened it.

He came inside and scratched his neck.
