Melody's pov

I was watching shikamaru take on temari of the sand and I laughed when he just randomly stared up to the sky leaning against a tree, he's probably wishing he was a cloud again hahaha he's such an idiot! Shikamaru and I have been best buddies since the first time we met. He was sleeping against a tree and I was tired so I accidentally tripped over him and then we talked for a bit then we just fell asleep for a while and then we became besties I know it's weird. I got out of my thoughts and kept on watching him then I saw him sit down and do his little pose meaning he's planning something. Shikamaru sees me as his bestie but I'm in love with him and sadly I know nothing can happen between us he dosent love me the way I love him. Once I zoned back into the fight I saw his shadow go through the hole in the ground,that naruto made, and I knew it was the end for temari. She went to attack but couldn't move. He got her. He made her walk up to him then..made her raise her hand saying she won and he was to lazy to go on!!?? Everyone else sighed or face Palmed while I just laughed really loud.

Once we got shikamaru out we ditched the arena and went to lye under a tree on a little hill where we first met. He was very sore so I healed all his wounds with my healing jutsu. After he was healed we both stared up at the clouds.
"Melody, can I ask you something?" He asked as I was repeatedly poked his face to see what would happen.
"Yea what's up?" I asked as I kept on poking him and he sighed before asking,"how much more troublesome are you going to be?" And I laughed again.
"I'm going to be very troublesome until I find courage." I said but then realising what exactly I had just said. Crap.
"Courage? For what?" He asked with a raised brow. Crap I can't lie because he always knows when I'm lying. I'll just tell him.
"Iloveyou" I quickly said
"What? Your talking to fast..so troublesome." He said as I took in a deep breath.
"Shikamaru.. I love you!" I said waiting for the rejection sure to come but when nothing happen I looked at him to see him just staring at me so I went to say something but then he kissed me nice and quick. My face was like 0.0
"I love you to." He said and I was very happy,"now I'm tired go to sleep my troublesome woman" he yawned as he rested my head on his chest and we willingly accepted sleep with open arms.
