"I don't trust her"

"You guys started off on the wrong foot Mani"

Normani slipped her pants up her legs, "Yeah, and so did Dwayne Wade. Look where he is now ! His knee's sore"

"Firstly, it's Kobe whose knee is sore," Ally fixed Normani's shirt collar and continued, "Secondly, he is expected to play the next game"

"How the hell do you know these things ?"

"You guys did send me with Zendaya once a week" Ally cracked a small smile, making Normani's mood lighten up a bit.

The Mexican girl pulled her crush into a sweet hug, both girls sighing at the contact. Although the Ariana thing completely did throw the dancer off, she didn't love Ally any less.

"Now what do you do if she touches you in a way you don't want ?"

Ally groaned, "Normani-"

"Say it Allyson"

"I do," She rose her head from Normani's chest and stared at her ridiculously in the eye, "And I quote, beat that bitch ass"

"That's my girl"

The Houston girl smiled to herself and brought Ally in for a tighter hug, causing the Mexican girl to giggle. She really didn't like Ariana's first impression on her but she trusted Ally as she knew what she was doing. Normani wanted nothing more than to go and spend the day with Ariana and Ally, but today was the last day of the competition and she had to perform.

A sudden vibration in Normani's pocket made the two pull apart. The brown skin girl looked down to see a text indicating that Ariana was outside. She really needs to look into getting Ally a phone because she didn't want to keep the wench's number in her phone.

"Ari's here ?" Ally asked. The brown skin girl nodded, making the girl go and grab her sneakers, "Okay Mani, I'm off"

"Sadly" The younger girl mumbled causing yet another giggle to leave Ally's beautiful lips. Normani loved hearing her heavenly giggles and laughs; it sucked that she'd have to share them with Ariana today.

Normani slipped her phone back in her pocket and looked at the girl, "Please don't forget we're going to see my family today"

"Never that mi corazón," In the last twenty-four hours, the older girl had taken a liking in calling Normani the nickname, "Bye Mani"

"Bye princess. Please be safe" The brown skin girl pecked Ally's lips and off the Mexican girl went.

Normani sighed to herself. She had an hour and a half until they all had to load up and leave for the competition. The girl didn't know what to do until then. Maybe Tinashe was available ?

"Oh my God, I just can't believe it" Ariana breathed out as she pulled Ally into a hug. It was still unreal to the Italian girl that Ally was before her in the flesh.

"I know, I didn't think I'd ever see you again. Oh my God you're alive" Ally smiled as she took a look at her friend. She'd grown since the last time she saw her.

Ariana smiled and grabbed her friend's hand, "Come on, they're waiting in the car"

As the pair left the hotel, Ally spotted two woman near an all black BMW. One woman had short blonde hair while the other caramel woman had a full set of assets upon her. The two girls moved closer to the car and both women turned towards them.

"You're the famous Ally she's been talking about ?" The blonde woman asked, a sharp British accent to her. The Mexican girl nodded sheepishly, making the other woman smile.

The woman's dimples sunk straight into her cheeks, "You're as cute as she said. Come on in the car baby girl" The other woman also had an accent, hers being New York.

"Thank you for the ride" Ally stated above a whisper. These two women were not only attractive but intimidating. They were driving an expensive car, had on their hair done, nails done, everything did, and just radiated power. It was no mystery as to why Ally would be shy.

"No problem love." The British ones smiled as she revved up the engine. Once in motion, the four drove off.

"So baby girl, tell me about yourself," The caramel woman fiddled with the other woman's hand, "My name is Nicki by the way"

"My name's Ally"

"Oh we know" Both the woman exasperated only to earn a glare from Ariana.

The blonde woman snatched her non-steering hand from Nicki, "Nicki stop playing with my hand now. I'm driving"

"Shut up Jessie, you liked it"

"Anyway," Ariana butt in, "Where have you been this whole time Ally ? How did you make it back to Texas ? Come on, give me details"

The younger girl smiled, "I made it out alive like you apparently did. I thought they would've had you !"

"Never that honey" Ariana smiled as she laced their fingers together.

To many, they'd seem like the spitting image of a matchmade in heaven; when in actuality, the two girls had a sisterly bond. They had gone through hardships together that other people, not even Normani, could fully grasp.

"And here is where you'll stay until the process is over" A guardsman stated to Ally as she showed her into a bland barren bedroom. It was white all over and had two beds, two nightstands, and one single window. The place resembled a mental asylum to poor 19 year old Ally.

Ally turned up and looked at the man, "And my parents ? And brother ? What about them ?"

The man ignored her question,"You will stay here for majority of your time if there are no changes. The quicker the changes happen, the quicker you can get out of here"

"But my family ! Where's my family ?" Ally turned to the man, "I took the injection, the least I should know is where my family went !!"

"They don't matter anymore. You're here now, and you should get used to it." The man turned around and headed towards the door to only be followed by a desperate Ally.

"My papa ! My mama ! My brother ! Tell me where they are !!" The man slammed the door directly in the girl's face to only earn her angry bangs on the door, "Where's my family ?!"

Soon the girl's anger subsided into forlorn tears, "Please, just tell me. My family"

"I'm sorry for you lose," A small voice stated from behind Ally. The Mexican girl turned around to see a small red haired girl seated upon the bed, fiddling with her fingers, "I truly am"

The brunette hadn't even noticed the girl as they entered. Who was she ?

"Y-you got injected too ?"

The girl chuckled, "Sadly"

"W-what is it ? What is it going to do to us ?"

The red haired girl patted for Ally to sit beside her, "I heard that the government wanted to see if human genetics and animal genetics could create to make a hybrid. Something about soldiers being a bit stronger and could withstand more"

"We were ripped from our families and society to be test subjects ?" The red haired girl nodded. Ally growled harshly, "What the hell ?? I'm not a bad person !"

"Neither am I"

"So why the hell are we here ?"

Ariana shrugged, "Because we are nobodies in the eyes of society. So ripping us out wouldn't make much of a difference. Nobody is going to miss us"

"B-But my family" Once again, tears began to swell up in Ally's eyes. The red haired girl reached over and wiped some tears from her cheeks.

"Let's pray we'll even be able to make it out alive" Ally laid her head on Ariana's shoulder and sobbed; the Italian girl rubbing small circles along her back.

The older girl kissed Ally's temples, "Don't worry. Ari will be here to help"

As months upon months passed, the two girls could notice changes within their bodies. Their periods had stopped and they were both becoming more hairy. But it was okay because they had each other. They only saw each other and the occasional lab worker, coming and taking notes upon them.

Even Ariana began to grow a long sleek tail while Ally's canines began to grow as well. But the two girls seemed to be morphing into different things. Ally could see Ariana growing into a difference facial shape as her.

More months passed and the girls were starting to feel the effects of their animalistic genetics. Ally would pant, tongue out and all, if she chased Ariana. Ariana would have the urge to lick herself if she felt she were dirty. Their transformation was going perfectly fine but the problem was it was affecting their brains as well. They could feel their mentalities morph more towards the animal and it was scaring them.

For the past year Ally had been planning an escape route for the two girls but she didn't want to risk both girls being in deep trouble. Ariana recommended that Ally go first, because the girl had people to live for.

Twas the night in which they were going to carry out the plan and both girls were nervous. They were in the final stages of their animal transformation and their mentality and the animal mentality were becoming extremely hard to differentiate. Both girls had an abundance of hair, and their ears had turned into their animal ears. They looked like cosplayer would portray the animals.

"Ally, please be safe out there," Ariana whispered as tears streamed down her face, "I would die if anything happened to you"

The younger girl wiped her tears and hugged Ariana, "If I don't make it. Please take care of my parents. Jerry and Patricia Hernandez. They're in San Antonio, please don't let my parents go downhill."

"I promise. Peck for good luck" Both girls pecked lips as they wiped their tears. Before Ariana was in her foster home before the experiment, her mother had always taught her to kiss for good luck with those who truly needed it. The kiss meant nothing romantically but meant everything to Ariana, she didn't want anything to happen to her best friend.

Ally smiled one last time at Ariana before the girl's body morphed before her. The once loveable red head before Ally was now an orange tabby cat. Ariana meowed at Ally and she knew once and for all, that her friend was gone. The girl sighed and left through her escape route.

Running had never been something Ally had gotten into but that night, the girl never stopped. Her feet carried her farther than she could ever imagine. Maybe it was the fear of death, the fear of losing herself to the genetic, the fear that she might not be able to see the ones she loved again. All Ally knew was she just had to leave.

Soon enough, as she girl ran upon her two legs, it transitioned into four legs. She could feel the genetic eating away her mind. The thoughts of her past were being overridden by playful thoughts and the thought of questioning all around her. The girl fought and fought as she kept running but it was no use.

As her running slowed down, she fell down to her knees, out of breath and teary eyed. She felt the canines truly extend and her body growing smaller. The hair she once had fully flushed and her ears perked up. With one last thought of her family, the girl's tiny tail appeared and it was all over with.

This was the last of the real Ally Brooke Hernandez.

"So how did you find Ariana ?" Ally asked as the girls continued to laugh together. Nicki and Jessie weren't scary people as she thought.

Nicki cleared her throat playfully, "Well see, Jessica over here, being the best friend that she is, wanted to surprise me with a cat for my birthday. So she took me to the local pet shop and let me choose. I went through nearly all the cats-"

"And she did" Jessie added.

"Until I saw this one little orange furball just staring at me. And I thought she was just wanting some attention, but as I look closer"

The blonde woman broke into a hysterical laughing fit, "Ari was looking at Nicki's ass ! I mean you can't blame her. Nicki's got a booty like a Cadillac"

"And that's when I knew she was the one," Everyone soon was laughing at the memory, "So I took Ari home. For a while her name was Barb, you know, my little Barb"

"But then when Ariana somehow magically transformed to a human in my lap, and told us her name, it's been Ariana ever since" Jessie added as she turned on her turn signal.

Ally smiled and looked at the little family, "Wow, you guys have quite a story"

"Yup," The New York woman smiled, "It's me, Jessie, and Ari"

"That's honestly to God adorable," Ally commented, noticing how happy each one looked, "I'm glad you all have each other"

"I am too" Jessie smiled as she laced fingers with Nicki. There was a small glint in Jessie's eyes that made Ally know there was a little more to that statement, but she remained silent.

Ariana rubbed Ally's hand with her thumb, "I have a little surprise for you Ally"

"Is it edible ? Because this girl is hungry" Everyone laughed at the girl's statement.

"I don't think you'll be hungry when we get there," Ariana smiled and squeezed the girl's hand, "But sure Ally"

As the car pulled up into a little area, Ally could see a little restaurant up in the distance. It was nearly packed, the Mexican girl had no idea how they would get in.

"Welcome to San Antonio's own, Mariposita" Jessie sing-sang as she turned off the engine.

Ally smiled softly, "Cute name"

"It's a cute place" Nicki responded as she got out of the car. She playfully smacked Jessie's backside to only earn a glare and smile.

As the four girls entered the restaurant, they were met with the delicious melting smell of varieties of food. The smell of tamales to sweet caramel filled the air. Ally already knew she would feel at home in the restaurant.

The girls stepped up towards the worker, "Welcome to Mariposita, my name is Gigi. How many for a table ?"

"I think it'll be for, one, two, three," Ariana lightly pushed Ally to the front of the trio, "And four"

As the two girls made eye contact, Gigi dropped the menus she was holding and cupped her mouth in shock. The Mexican girl ran towards the back of the restaurant in break neck speed. Ally stood there, mouth hung open in shock as well.

"W-Was that Gigi ?" Ally blinked. That couldn't be her Gigi ! The Gigi that was her beloved cousin and sidekick.

In a matter of seconds, a loud cry erupted from the other side of the restaurant. The Mexican girl's head whipped over to see three people she thought she'd never see in her life again.

There stood her father, mother, and Brandon all shocked in tears. Once made eye contact with her father, it broke down from there. Ally ran towards them and wrapped them in a humongous hug. Ally didn't care that there were tears down her face or that everyone else in the restaurant was watching.

All she cared about was finally having her family back.

"Oh so we're going to meet your parents ?" Normani asked shockingly as she squeezed her crush's hand, "I-I Ally ! I wasn't ready ! I probably still stink from dance !"

Ally smiled, "Mani, you took a shower before we left. Did you forget ?"

"I didn't take a 'I'm Meeting Ally's Parents' shower, I took an 'It's Christmas Eve and I Get To Be Lazy' shower ! Oh my God, how is my breath ?"

Normani frantically breathed into her hand and sniffed. Displeased with the smell, she tried patting her pockets, to see if she packed any gum.

Ally chuckled and took her hands in hers, "Normani, you'll be fine. I promise you my family doesn't bite"

"I-I," Normani was going to try and find another worrisome thought but couldn't think of any at the sight of Ally pouting, "Okay princess. I'll try"

The Mexican girl smiled brightly. She kissed the girl's lips lovingly and led her towards the house. As she entered the house everyone came towards the girl, baring her in hugs and kisses.

The family themselves couldn't believe that Ally was actually alive. Two years of not knowing if she were alive or in a ditch somewhere was really stressful. But they were all happy now knowing that Ally was alive.

"So wait, they bribed you not to tell ?" Ally asked incredulously as the rest of the family was being festive. Her, her parents, and her brother were having discussing what happened after the experiment.

"Yes, they gave us $1,432,000 exactly to not tell. We had to take it but we still had search parties out for you everyday."

Brandon smiled down at his sister and just brought her into a hug, "Dude you're alive. Oh my God"

"I'm alive Brandon" Ally smiled and hugged her brother back.

Patricia smiled at children's interactions, "I missed this so much"

"Me too Mama" Ally smiled and looked up at her parents, "So what have you guys been doing with the money ? That's a lot of it"

Jerry cracked a tiny grin, "With the money we bought the restaurant we've always wanted mi mariposita"

The younger girl felt a little lump form in her throat at the nickname, she reeled in the man and woman into another family hug. She missed them, she missed these times.

"And you mija, where have you been ?"

"I've been in Miami. These two girls, Camila and Normani found me bloody and messy and saved me," The Mexican girl turned to look at Normani to catch her laughing and playing with her niece Chloe, that causing a loving smile to play on her face, "And now I live with them. I even have a job back at a bakery in Florida"

"Ai Dios mio ! My little girl already has a life of her own." Patricia wiped her stray tears.

"And a lover at that," Jerry leaned towards Ally, whispering, "Does she treat you right ?"

"Like royalty"

Brandon raised an eyebrow, "No fighting ?"

"Only TV show ships"

"Has a stable job ?"

"Full time student, and she works at Hansen's with her friend Dinah"

"Favorite sports team ?"

"Texans and Spurs"

Brandon and Jerry looked at each and nodded, "She's a keeper"

"When are you going back to Miami ?" Patricia asked.

"Sadly tomorrow afternoon Mama. But I promise to keep in touch with you guys"

"As long as you're alive, I'm okay with it" Brandon smiled as she stood up and walked towards the kitchen.

Normani walked up towards the family, Chloe on her waist, "Hi everyone. Sorry to interrupt but it's getting late and my mother does still want to see us this Christmas Eve."

"It's okay. I'll hopefully still get my daughter back tomorrow, right ?" Jerry questioned, making Normani tense.

The dancer nodded quickly, "Of course sir. First thing tomorrow morning"

"I want her here by 10:30 then. Not 10:29 nor 10:31, but right at 10:30. Am I clear ?"

Normani gulped and nodded, "Yes sir. Crystal clear"

"Good," Jerry smiled playfully and hugged his daughter, "I'll see you tomorrow mi mariposita"

Ally hugged and kissed goodbye to all her relatives as the two made their way back to the rental car Cristal let them borrow. The girls hopped right and drove back towards Houston, to Normani's mother's house.

Ally and Mama Drea were practically inseparable the night as all of Normani intermediate family were also in the house. All of the Hamiltons had love for Ally's sweet nature and even Mama Drea suggested that Normani wifed the girl.

It was currently 12:01 am, Christmas Day and Normani and Ally were sitting cross-legged on Normani's mattress. The Mexican girl was ecstatic to see Normani's reaction to the present.

Normani smiled and ripped off the wrapping paper to come in contact with a box. Anxiously, Normani opened the box to see a pair of black sweatpants.

"Thank you Ally ! You have been listening to my clothing complaints !" Normani pecked the girl's forehead and stood up, slipping them on.

Ally stifled a giggle, "Go look at them in the mirror"

The dancer rose and eyebrows and walked towards the mirror, wondering what she hid in the normal black joggers. As soon as the girl twirled around, she caught the sight of white lettering on her butt.

"Ally oh my God !" Normani gasped causing Ally to laugh harder.

"Merry Christmas !" The Mexican girl cheered to only earn a playful glare from Normani. Soon enough the girls were chasing each other around the room. Normani caught her crush and brought her down to the bed, tickling her.

"Allyson Brooke ! Are you serious ?"

Ally breathed between giggles, "I-It's the tru-truth !"

"Property of Ally Brooke, is not true !" The girl squealed as she stopped tickling the girl and rubbed the white lettering on her butt.

Ally stuck out her tongue playfully, "It's completely the truth," The Mexican girl boldly reached and gripped the dancer's butt, "This is all mine"

"Whatever you say Ally" The dancer leaned in and placed a small kiss upon Ally's lips.

This was exactly how she wanted to spend her Christmas.
