I have a little question: What's your favorite chapter/line/part of this book so far ?

My favorite part to write was the mall chapter. I feel like that's when everything finally unraveled and... Zendaddy, duh.

Baby step after baby step, the girls returned back to normal.

Or so they thought.

Everyone noticed the off tension from both girls. They did return to normal but not the same as before. There wasn't much tension like before but the girl's weren't as lovey dovey anymore; more as to they were scared to. Hands were never held any more, the sweet nicknames weren't exchanged, not even kisses were given anymore. To Ally and Normani it seemed like everything was back to norm but to their three friends; it was the complete opposite.

They really did love Normally's interactions; the two girls were just so cute together, it was like watching two children sheepishly play together knowing they both had crushes on each other. But with those cute moments tossed out the window; the three fangirls knew something had to be done.

Like any other temperate Saturday in Florida, the birds were chirping, the lizards were slithering around and the warm tropical vibe radiated everywhere. It was a nice feeling living in Florida; although some days felt like Satan's ballsack, it honestly was a good feeling being in the state. With the beach nearby, many places to see, and new people to meet everyday, no wonder Florida was one of the most populated states. The peace and quiet each morning brought was just amazing.

"Good morning Normally !"

Well in other people's cases, the peace and serility didn't last long. For Normani it only lasted when Camila was sleeping or in the crack of dawn; which she wouldn't wait long enough to enjoy. But rather in her case it was different today. The brown skin girl's eyes blinked open to catch the gaze of three pairs of eyes upon hers.

Normani glanced over at the alarm clock on her nightstand and back up at the girls staring at her and Ally, "Guys, why are you up so early ?" She mumbled confusedly. Lauren and Camila, let alone Dinah in general, would never wake up before her on the weekend.

The short Cuban girl smiled widely while holding something behind her back, "Today is Normally day !" At that moment the girl revealed her hands from behind her back; throwing the confetti in the air.

"Normally day ? Could you guys do it later ? Okay thanks" The dancer went back to snuggling deeper into the Mexican girl's body. This was the only time she got with Ally in which weren't awkward and she desperately wanted to enjoy it before she'd have to wait until the night to get it back.

"Mani get up ! It is Normally day !" Lauren informed her, her voice a tad bit louder than Camila's.

"Lo, shush ! Not so loud, Ally's sleeping"

"She's not getting any and she's still whipped," Dinah chuckled as she made her way towards Normani's closet, "Alright, now where would it be ?"

Now a little more awake, Normani opened one eye to look at her friends, "Where's what ? Why is she in my closet"

"To take you out of it" Lauren smirked but was immediately shut down by an abrupt slap upside the head by Camila. Soon enough the two Cuban girls began arguing back and forth while the ruckus of Dinah's search made the noise even louder.

Normani felt the smaller girl in her arms squirm a bit, the noise slowly getting to her, "Guys ! Shut the hell up, she's sleeping !"

"Not until you agree to come on the journey this fine Normally day !" Camila threw her hands up thinking there was still confetti in it but was met to an empty hand of disappointment. Awkwardly she grabbed the confetti she'd thrown earlier and rethrew them. Lauren just shook her head at the weird girl she somehow called her friend.

"What the hell is a Normally Day ?" Normani inquired furrowing her eyebrows.

"It's a day for you and Ally stupid" Dinah called from the closet, still searching for what she needed.

"Guys, I don't see the purpose of a Normally day. We see each other everyday. For God's sakes she sleeps in my bed with me everyday. Shouldn't everyday be considered Normally day then ?"

The Polynesian girl groaned as she still continued to search, "It would've been if you two weren't so damn awkward. You've got my fangirl tank on E right now"

"I bet you've got a mad case of blue ovaries right now"

Expectedly, Lauren received another smack upside the head causing her to grumble very vulgar words under her breath. The brown eyed girl rolled her eyes, bringing her attention back to her best friend, "Normani, just take this day to go out with her. Get to know her more. Do something ! The only time you've gotten to spend with her is here. And she's sleeping the whole time"

"Okay okay. I'll wake her up and tell her, okay ? Just get out guys, God. It's not even breakfast time yet" The brown skin girl grumbled. Her three friends all smiled to themselves at the thought at Normally action. As soon as the trio left, the dancer mumbled a silent "Sike" under her breath before laying back down on the bed; Ally instantly cuddling into her arms. S

The truth was Normani didn't have the courage to try and get the Normally ship sailing again; she was scared it'd turn out in one of those silences again.

Maybe she'd try and get it on the roll tomorrow.

In her arms, the Mexican girl sighed sleepily as she lovingly rubbed her cheek against Normani's chest; the girl's heart beating frantically at the action.

Yeah, tomorrow sounds nice.

The minutes passed by and the girl was slowly trailing back into her sleepy euphoria; her busy thoughts taking an easy stroll, her problems diminishing, and her focus on the outside world withdrawing. She was almost about to go to sleep.

Well, almost.

The chilly sensation of water splashed upon both girl's sleeping bodies causing them to both jolt up instantly. Ally and Normani's heads whipped in every direction until it finally settled on the brown eyed Cuban in front of them; a dripping bucket in her hands.

"Camila !" Screamed the terrified Mexican girl, "Why would you- MMMH !" The oldest girl was completely ready to go into a rampage but was cut off by the sleek material being thrown in her face. Ally swatted the material down from her face to see it was a bathing suit.

"When I say Normally Day, I mean Normally Day. Get both of your esses up !" Dinah snapped harshly at both girls; the authoritative tone behind her made Ally instantly run to the bathroom to get ready.

On the other hand, Normani sat there wiping her wet face from the arctic water. Was Camila trying to kill them both ?! She could've not only died from a severe heart attack but the water would've surely given her hypothermia.

"Mila what the hell ?!" The dancer screeched out angrily at her best friend, "I was going to wake her up !"

"We all heard that little sike under your breath Mani. Come on now," Lauren strolled in casually biting into her chocolate muffin, "We gave you five minutes. If we didn't see either of you out of that room in those five minutes, Camz said she would wake you both up"

The three of them were really serious about Normally Day ! Normani sighed to herself at the stressful idea of having to endure awkward tensions. The thought instantly made the girl flop back down on her pillow, a tired sigh leaving her plump lips.

Her childish sulking didn't last long because another small splash of water was thrown in her face. As soon as she sat up; another round of confetti was thrown in her face. Camila proudly held the bucket while Dinah threw up jazz hands for the confetti emphasis. As for Lauren ? She still nonchalantly munched on her chocolate muffin.

Normally Day it is.

Normani and Ally both obeyed Dinah's attire requests and put on bathing suits under their clothing. The two girls were completely unaware of how the day would unravel for them but they still continued to follow the girls.

After finally finishing up her hair, Normani stepped into the kitchen to see the three girls casually eating their meals while Ally sat on the counter, a tiny pout sporting her face. The three troublemakers had plates full of food while Ally sat there empty handed.

"What's going on ? Why doesn't Ally have a plate like you guys ?" Normani asked concerned while drying her hair with her towel.

"They won't let me eat anything. And Mila made carne asada con papas fritas ! She knows I love carne asada" The Mexican girl's pout grew larger as she crossed her arms childishly.

The brown skin girl furrowed her eyebrows, "Well you can just have some of my food then Ally"

"Incorrect, you're not getting any food" The tallest girl corrected as she took a bite of her sandwich.

"And why not ?" Normani sassed back, folding her arms.

Lauren wiped her mouth with a napkin before walking up to the pair, "Because you two will be eating brunch at LYLAS for the start of Normally Day !"

"Normally Day ?" Ally mumbled not completely aware of what they were talking about.

"Ignore them," Normani told her before turning to the trio, "I don't know what you Three Stooges are up to but I know it's not right. You know I love cago asada !"

Lauren's eyes widened while Camila bursted into a giggling fit. The brown eyed girl also stood up from the table and made her way towards Normally, "It's carne asada Mani. And you two are going to have a better meal outside of the house together. Now go ! Get out and begin Normally Day !"

Dinah, Lauren, and Camila grabbed both girls' bags and rushed the pair out of the house. The day was still young and those two were going to enjoy it together whether they liked it or not.

"And don't come back until one of you have been fucked !"

Just as Normani had suspected, the car ride was awkward. No one would speak a word nor even think of doing such. The radio was playing softly in the background but the only noise was the car's murmur and the outside world. Thankfully, Jenner was working that day and broke the little tension while they ordered brunch. But after they left the premises, it all went back to the new normal.

A vibration from the cup holder brought Normani and Ally back from their deep thoughts. The driver looked at her phone and at the Mexican girl next to her. The contact name, Mila 😛🍌, requesting for FaceTime.

"Ally could you get that please ? I'm driving"

Without hesitation, the Mexican girl nodded and answered the call; sticking out her arms a good distance for the call. Out zoomed Ally's face and in zoomed the faces of their three friends, wild smiles on all their faces.

"HEY NORMALLY !" The three chirped in sort of harmony. Ally sheepishly waved and muttered a shy hello.

"So how's my OTP doing ? Come on, keep me updated" Camila questioned excitedly.

Normani craned her neck a bit to look at the phone and back at the road, "We're fine. We just finished brunch and are on our way home"

Dinah's face instantly morphed into a scowl, "Home ? What no ! It's Normally Day, not Normally Hour and Forty-Five Minutes. No you two are staying out until we say so. No"

"Dinah, I'm tired. I have to practice the routine Madame Ginestra gave us and the one Will made ! I don't have time !" Their teacher's boyfriend was also a dancer and had his own foundation. He specifically asked for Normani dance his choreography and possibly be in a video on his channel. The dancer had a lot on her plate and wasn't in the mood for their childish ways.

The green eyed girl crossed her arms, "Well Mani that sucks because you won't have a home to go to"

"Excuse me ?" Normani challenged.

Camila's nose crinkled, "Yeah sorry Mani but I don't see how you'll get in the house. You'll be seated outside, soaking in disappointment"

"I'm going to enter the house with my keys, duh. How else ?"

"Oh these keys ?" Lauren smirked as she lifted up the dangling object, "Oh well, yeah. Sure. Go on home and open the door with these keys."

"You little bit-" Normani was about to finish the statement but was stopped by a car horn blasting beside them. The brown skin girl immediately swerved the car over to avoid the near collision, "Okay you know what ?! I'm gonna find you Three Scrooges !"

"Mani it's Stooges not Scrooges"

"No, in this case it's Scrooges because you all make me feel the like the scrooge !" She yelled back at her best friend, gripping the steering wheel tightly.

"That was generic" Lauren mumbled.

"And stupid" Dinah added.

"And not funny" Camila also added with a smile.

"Bah, humbug!" Normani growled before violently snatching her phone from Ally and hanging up. She sighed and tossed her phone in the cup holder, meanwhile the whole time the Mexican girl sat there surprised for how everything unraveled. She really was stuck with Normani.

Ally thought carefully as to how she was about to word her question, "So... That means you and I are stuck together ?"

"Somehow, yes Ally. But it's okay because I saw where they were. They're down at Miami Beach, so we're just going to go get the keys back"

A slight twinge of disappointment ran through Ally. She liked being with Normani this past hour; she finally was able to see the little smile and tender laugh from the girl. Normani's happiness made Ally happy and without it she just felt a bit empty. Ally felt she couldn't make anybody content the way she did to Normani; she constantly saw the Normani Sparkle in her eyes and wanted to keep it lit.

"Yeah, get the keys back" Ally murmured somberly as she turned to face the window.

Yeah, the keys.

"Ooh ! The water is so pretty !" Ally squealed as stripped off her outwear down to her swimsuit. She was able to borrow one of Camila's black bikinis and it really did look good against her tan skin.

But sadly, the girl's excitement was cut short by Normani grabbing her wrists, shaking her head fiercely.

"Ally, not time. I need my keys ! I saw them down by the Lifeguard Shack, come on !!" Without a second thought Ally grabbed the girl's hand and made a run for the shack. Normani was determined to find her keys, her friends all played around too much.

But to no avail, the shack had nothing but lifeguards in them. "Stupid lifeguards actually doing their jobs" Growled Normani in frustration.

"Excuse me ?" One beach blonde lifeguard looked down at the pair, "Have you seen three girls around her by any chance ? Here to be exact ?"

"Yeah, are you Normanny ?" He asked as he squinted at the piece of paper in his hand. Normani was ready to pounce on the idiot wasting her time but was stopped by Ally's gentle touch on her exposed arm.

She smiled up at the teenage boy, "Yes that's her"

He smiled back and handed Ally the paper. The Mexican girl bid him a small thank you and continued walking back to where they laid their things.

"What does it say ?" Normani studied the paper in the girl's hand.

You thought we were at the shack. LOL nope. We maybe stupid but we're not that stupid Mani.

Okay ignore Dinah's ugly handwriting. But yeah, we're not there Mani. Try somewhere else. Try going to where everything's better; down where it's wetter. Take it from me ;)

The brown skin girl's face spread into a heat like wildfire. Her friends were disgusting ! She wouldn't ever go like that to Ally. Well... not until she's ready.

"Ooh ! I get it ! I get it !" The older girl clapped, a grin across her tan face.

Normani's eyes widened, "You do ?"

"Yeah we saw it not too long ago," Ally slowly made her way up to Normani's, a sly smirk on her face, "LITTLE MERMAID. CATCH ME IF YOU CAN !!"

Ally pecked the dancer's nose before stripping off the excess clothes and running towards the water; a tiny squeal of excitement coming from her. She always loved the water, even before the experiment. It was just the soft silky feeling of the water against her skin that would just sooth her nerves from the harsh outside world. The water was just an open place in which everyone was the same; you were just there to enjoy your time and nothing more.

Even though the water was chilly compared to the tropical heat, it was okay to the Mexican girl. The deeper she went in the water, the bigger her smile grew. Reasonably, the girl stopped at about waist height and just inhaled the salty scent of the ocean. Home sweet home.

"A-Ally, Jesus Christ this water is cold, Ally come on we have to go find them" Normani herself had to strip to catch up with the girl, her shorts lazily thrown on their stuff as she rushed over towards her. In that instant Ally giggled and splashed Normani playfully, her arms getting into their rhythm.

The younger girl shielded herself from the barrage of water bullets"Ally ! Ally ! Allyson stop !!" Normani firmly stood her ground, staring harshly at the girl before. The smile once on her face was now replaced with a small pout; her happiness straight back down the drain.

"I'm sorry Normani" Ally mumbled while fiddling with her fingers. She did it again, she failed to make the sparkle appear again. The girl mentally scolded herself, she always did everything wrong.

"You should be," Normani was going to continue her rant about her hair being wet but stopped at the sight of the heavyhearted Mexican. She caused her sadness and instantly felt it in her soul, "I'm champion of splash battle and I don't like losing my spot"

Ally looked up from her hands, a tiny surprised smile on her face, "Well you have some competition now"

"Is that so Hernandez ?"

"It's completely so Hamilton" Ally smirked at her.

"Well bring it on !" Normani slammed her hand down, splashing the both of them. Surprisingly, the two girls laughed at the action and continued their little splash battle. The ideas of searching for the girls slipped both of their minds right away; the only thing that matter was winning the splash battle. All was well because both girls were having fun together for once in the span of those three weeks.

"Normani ! Admit that I won !"

"Never !!" She cried as she continued to run from the girl's splashes, Ally was serious about being a challenge, "I will remain victorious !"

"Not while I'm here !" The brunette leaped onto the brown skin girl's toned back, sending both of them plummeting into the chilly water. As the two resurfaced, loud laughs came from the both of them. They really had just spent over 30 minutes splashing and running from one another.

Ally wrapped her arms around the girl's neck and snuggled her cheek onto her exposed back, "Carry me peasant ! I am victorious !"

"Peasant ?! I am no peasant ! I'm the queen" Normani complained with a small smile as she supported the girl's thighs around her torso.

"Keep saying that to yourself baby"

The dancer scuffed, Normani carefully placed the girl on their towels, "You hang out with Dinah too much. I should leave you with Camila instead"

"Or I could just stay with you," Shocked at the bold statement, Normani turned around to see Ally biting her lip shyly, "That would be best. I'm more in sync with you Mani"

Normani couldn't help but let her eyes trail the girl's body in front of her. Jesus, Ally was fit and somehow still looked cute. Her tan skin in contrast to the dark material made her eyes instantly turn into hearts. But the one brown marking on her skin truly made her everything go crazy.

"Holy shit, Ally is that a dragon ?!" There on her side and hip bone was a curved dragon starting from the inner part of her thigh, looping around her hip, and ending on her lower stomach near her belly button. With the surprising addition of pink flowers around the tattoo, it looked mouthwater upon the girl.

"Yeah when we went to Clearwater, I got it with Mila and Lauren" Ally twirled around to reveal it also trailed around to the back of her thigh, "You should've came ! It was really fun, I even got to get ice cream"

"I'm in the mood for some now. How about we go get some ?" Normani suggested. She stopped drying her and looked up at the girl for approval. An obvious smile appeared on her face at the mention of ice cream. It was settled.

The creamy smell of ice cream filled both girls noses as they walked up to the little vendor's stand. A man with raven colored facial hair and equal as dark shoulder length greeted the girls, "Hi my name's Avan, what would you girls like today ?"

"Can we have two piña coladas, it's my friend's first time trying it" It wasn't true, in all honest Ally only wanted to get it because she loved the way Normani said it. She said it with a tiny accent yet still had the American flare to the word, it made her giggle every time she heard it.

After paying for it, both girls walked off with their waffle cones in one hand and their intertwined fingers in another. They had surely but slowly gone back into their lovey affectionate ways with one another and they were surely enjoying it. It was like once they started play fighting the happiness turned on once again between them. Now the strong point was to try and remain that way.

"Come on Ally, I know you haven't seen Miami Beach much. I shall show you !" Normani pointed towards the boardwalk with her cone making Ally smile.

The Mexican girl squeezed her owner's hand and smiled a bit wider, "Just you, me, and our pi-pina-pina co-"

"PIÑA COLADA !" Normani shouted in very forced Spanish accent causing multiple to turn around but it didn't matter to the girls because they were having fun. Ally giggled at the childish antics of Normani. She didn't get to see it often and internally leaped for joy when she got to.

"So Mani..." The Mexican girl gently ran her thumb over Normani's hand, "Is this also a date ?"

"Yes Ally, this is our second date"

"Wait so you named it Camren cup ? HA ! That's hilarious Ally !"

"I want some of the Camren cup too, it sounds good right now"

"I just bought you some ice cream, what the hell ?!"

"What can I say ? A girl has needs"

"Normani that man is swallowing fire !!"

"Yeah, that's what they do. Remember on Aladdin when that guy did it ?"

"Of course I remember ! I just thought they only did it movies"

The girl was going to continue ranting but accidentally bumped into a man, causing him to choke. Ally's eyes widened and instantly tugged Normani with her as she started running.

"A-Ally why are we running ?!"

"I bumped into him !"

"So ?!"

"He was a sword swallower !"

"Ooh ! These shorts would be cute to wear to class"

Ally was going to agree with the matter but remember of a certain girl in her class. The Mexican girl slapped down the short from the dancer's hands, "No ! I rebuke those shorts !"

"Ally what ?! They're cute, I don't see why not."

"As long as Taylor's in your class, I say no"

Normani rose an eyebrow and playfully growled, "Ooh protective Ally is cute"

"Yeah yeah, whatever. What about these," Ally smiled sweetly while in contrast Normani sported a scowl, "What ? They're cute ?"

"I am not wearing high waters to class !"

"Okay okay ! And these ?!"

"I am not wearing country bumpkin overalls either !"

"It's okay Mani, at least we'll match. I wanna bedazzle mine and add some sparkles"

The sun was beginning to set but it didn't stop the hectivity of the tropical area; in reality it was only just beginning. As for Ally and Normani, the two girls continued to playfully banter and share occasional lovey looks. The night was young and so were they; as for the three girls, they were completely far from their mindsets.

"Get back here Ally !"

"You've gotta catch me first !"

The two girls once again stopped for ice cream but this time decided to share a cone. Ally had placed a tender kiss on Normani's lips while she sneakily grabbed the ice cream. She soon took off with it, wanting it all to herself but her lover wasn't having it.

Normani luckily had taken track and field in high school and easily caught up to the girl, scooping her over her shoulder, "Allyson Brooke Hamilton ! Put my ice cream down !"

"It's Allyson Brooke Hernandez !"

The dancer nearly froze at the slip up but instantly came up with a cover up, "It's Hamilton until I get my ice cream back ! I own you until I get what's rightfully mine !"

"Well then you can kiss my behind because this ice cream is mine ! MWHAHAHA- OW MANI OH MY GOD I WASN'T SERIOUS !!" Normani gladly took the girl's request and placed a mischievous bite on the girl's backside. The shorter giggled and continued to place light punches to the dancer's toned back.

"Mani put me down !"

"I will once I get my ice cream back !"

"Tori help me !"

"Tori, wait what ?" The brown skin girl spun around to see the brown eyed girl waving at her from the distance. A small smile played on Normani lips, the girl casually walking over to her friend as if she weren't holding her lover on her shoulder.

"Kelly !" Normani shouted in an obnoxiously loud New York accent.

"Hamilton !" Tori shouted back as obnoxiously. The two girls hugged (well at least tried) and continued a simple conversation, "Is there a reason you have my baby over your shoulder ?"

"Yeah !" Ally childishly intervened, still sadly over the shoulder with the ice cream.

Normani rolled her eyes but still held a small smile on her face, "She's my baby and she's being ice cream stingy !"

"Normani Kordei Hamilton ! Please put me down !"

"No !"

"I will pinch your butt !"

Tori raised an eyebrow at the pair's relationship. The dancer scuffed, "No you won't- OW OKAY OKAY I'LL PUT YOU DOWN !"

Said and done, Ally truly did pinch her but, whole handedly at that. Placidly, Normani put the smiling girl down and took the ice cream back. This time, Normani placed a kiss on the girl's cheek; the action causing a blush to spread across her face.

Tori pouted and crossed her arms at the sight of the pair, "You two are adorable ! I hate it !"

"Aww, come here Tori, Ally is here" The small girl pulled the curly haired blonde into a loving hug, a chuckle coming from the girl.

"Go Tally !"

"I'm sorry that's not how you pronounce Normally" Everyone laughed at the playfulness and continued on with their conversations. It turned out Tori played on the boardwalk every weekend just to provide the true sound of acoustic music to the area. The radio now lacked the core vibe a guitar gave off and she wanted the world to know it.

Normani sat on the foot of the statue next to her blonde friend, "That's so sweet Tori ! Why don't you play a little something for me ?"

Tori hesitantly nodded, thinking of a song to play. Soon enough she began strumming the repetitive beat Normani hadn't heard in years. The blonde girl looked at Ally, "Ally can you clap your hands like this for me ?"

"Oh my God ! I remember this song ! Can I sing this one please ?" She looked at the guitar player with pleading eyes. Tori giggled and nodded, still continuing to play the tone. Normani felt the beginning vibe of the song first before diving right in.
