❀ONE❀

He slowly lifted himself off the bed towards the open window and pulled the curtains down.
"There." he thought."Can't hear it now"
Thunder, lightning and heavy rain.
These were the things Wooyoung feared.
He always had this lingering feeling inside his heart that something bad was about to happen whenever a bolt of lightning flashed across the sky or when a burst of loud thunder spread throughout the town.
He didn't mention his fear of storms to people often, in fear of being mocked or laughed at. Maybe they'd think he was overreacting and that his feelings were a result of mere paranoia.
If only they knew about what happened...
Plugging his earbuds in, he proceeded downstairs to the kitchen to grab something to eat.
As he flicked the light switch on, his eyes flitted towards the pictures hung onto the refrigerator. Pictures of all the people who held a place in his heart. In the middle hung a picture of him and his friends.
All of them were staring at the camera with wide smiles, some had their arms draped across the other's shoulder, trying to crush their skulls while some tried to push the others' out of the frame. Just looking at it caused the corners of Woo's lips to twitch up into a small smile.
Wooyoung always had a liking of taking pictures. It was a small hobby he had developed. Something about being able to capture his own memories fascinated him. That's why he had so many photographs everywhere.
He opened the refrigerator and his eyes hovered over the many different things to eat. In the end he picked up a pack of chips.
The ringing of a phone broke the silence in the kitchen and he picked it up to see the caller ID.
'HONGJOONG'
He picked it up pulling the earbuds out of his ears.
"Hello?" He heard a voice say from the other side of the phone.
"Hey Hongjoong. Why did you call?" He responded, stuffing a few chips in his mouth.
"Hongjoong hyung. Just wanted to see if you got ready. But hearing your voice it seems like you just woke up" Hongjoong tsk-ed. "You really need to get your routine right"
"Gehft wehdy fo wah?" He asked, mouth still full of chips.
"You seriously forgot didn't you?" He could practically see the elder's dissapointed face "I didn't raise you to be this forgetful"
"Wah eva jus geh straif do da poinf" He responded growing slightly impatient. He didn't have time to play guessing games.
"We're going to visit the Storage Unit"
Wooyoung started choking on his chips.
"S-storage U- unit? You mean the storage unit?"
"Yes Wooyoung" Joong deadpanned, "The one with S-san's stuff.."
He stuttered at the mention of their friend. The incident that happened almost a year ago took a toll on all of their lives, especially Wooyoung's.
"Why so suddenly....?"
"The previous owner wants it back. Apparently he's saying that we took it without permission, like we didn't give him money and shit, that old bloke" Hongjoong muttered, his voice drained of emotion as he was clearly exhausted having to deal with all this "Anyways,he says he'll call the police if we don't empty out the stuff right now. And I'm not in the mood for drama so I called the guys up and we're gonna be heading there. See you in an hour"
And he hung up. Leaving Wooyoung in a mix of emotions.
First, he was pissed. Pissed at the previous owner because they had clearly payed him the amount he demanded. That little piece of shit .
Excited. It had been a long minute since he and the boys met up. But as you grow in life, so does the amount of work and responsibility. They were no longer the same as the carefree teenagers they once were.
Scared. Of what he would see in the Unit. And how he'd feel when he sees it. They had workers move in the stuff before but in this weather there was probably no one available. They'd have to do it themselves.
A long, deep sigh escaped his lips and he went back upstairs to get dressed, his appetite already lost.
Time Skip
Wooyoung sat in the backseat of his car staring out the window. The storm had died down, now only small drops of water falling from the sky. A soft tune played on the car radio but he payed no attention to it and instead looked up at the now light blue sky.
"Sir....?The GPS?" His driver asked from the front seat.
"Oh right. Sorry David" He fumbled inside his bag and pulled out his phone.
"You seem rather troubled Sir." David the driver commented, looking at Woo through the rear view mirror, "Is everything okay Sir?"
"Yea yea! Everything's fine! Absolutely fine..." Wooyoung responded quickly, setting the GPS on. "Don't worry"
"Everything is definitely not fine" He thought in his head.
Eventhough David wasn't exactly convinced, he decided to not press the matter further.
Wooyoung stared back out the window and let his mind get lost in deep thought.
His mind wandered to a certain male. His soft blonde hair, his dimpled smile, his adorable laugh. He was all that clouded his mind.
Moments of them together, laughing, playing, enjoying each other's company; all of these flitted through his mind.
They were such simple moments at the time, and now they're his greatest treasures.
"If only you didn't go there...."
"If only I didn't leave you alone..."
"If only none of it happened...."
And with that he let his mind go back down memory lane. To where it all started....
