Hello. If you are reading this, that means the case has been released to the public and that I am no longer a part of the Secure, Contain, and Protect Foundation. All I can say is that they are as real as you and I and you have to make sure they don't escape. But if they do... make sure I'm locked away in the asylum.

I am Jane Hungrass. I have been a criminal lawyer for two years and the SCP recruited me almost a year ago. I am assigned cases that have to do with  suspected Euclid and/or Keter objects. On rare occasions I get picked for a normal case, so when they said I was representing a young boy, I thought that was all to it. If I knew that my life would change forever when I first took this case a six months ago, I would have declined.

I was first assigned to the Carter case. Luke was accused of killing both his mother and father but there was an obvious fault; Luke was found stabbed in his bed the night of the murders and it didn't make sense. Why would he also stab himself? His younger brother Jeffrey went missing that night and I was told to find Luke's brother guilty. Luke was a good kid. Shy,smart, and perfect bait to pin a murder on. Luke was in a coma for three weeks after the accident and that's all the time I had to prepare myself for the trial. At first I thought it made complete sense. A kid killed his parents and tried to commit suicide so he wouldn't go to jail. The police got a call around two in the morning by a neighbour who had heard loud voices from the Carter home. When the officer arrived, and no one answered the door, they entered the home to find the mother in the kitchen. Her head was split in two by an electric carving knife that was still plugged into the wall. The father was found in the hall between the kitchen and the living room, a knife protruding from the neck. Luke was found in his bed, bleeding from a stab wound just below his heart. He had lost enough blood to pass out but not enough to kill him. His brother Jeffery was not found. The fingerprints found on the kitchen knife were not Luke's but his fathers. When Luke awoke, I was the first person he'd see. I had set up base in his room so nothing could happen to him. After three weeks of sleeping on makeshift beds and hospital food, I was joyed when he awoke.

"Where am I?" He asked sitting up. He looked at me with wide eyes, "And who the hell are you?" I could tell he was worried and confused, so I tried to remind him about the weeks prior. As soon as I stopped talking he spoke. "Jeff did it. He was the one who stabbed me. I woke up after hearing mom and dad screaming downstairs. When it got quiet, Jeff walked into my room. I sat up to ask what was going on and that's when I felt the stabbing pain in my chest. I looked down and there was a deep red splotch pooling on my body and that's when I passed out."

I nodded as he spoke. I was afraid that was the case but then I noticed the connection. About a week before Luke woke up, the police found his brother. Jeff was standing over a body of a high school student with a knife in hand. His arrest was for twelve accounts of murder and disappearances of another seven, my job was to show the court Luke was telling the truth and hope he wasn't like his brother.

The day of the trial came and went; and I was sure it would last days but in three hours, the jury came to the decision of sending Luke to  Mount Massive where he would stay until the case was further investigated. He was deemed criminally insane, and no one noticed the connection with his little brother. There was no evidence that Luke actually killed anyone. The knife that was found embedded in their father's chest was covered in Jeffery's fingerprints but that apparently wasn't enough. At least I was able to save him from the death sentence... Now that I look back, that might have been the better option. He was admitted and I was the last to see him. I was his case worker, so I would be back once a week.

"I will do what I can to clear your name. I promise." I smiled and we shook hands before he was walked to his room.

This wasn't the first time I had a case that was sent to Mount Massive, a fairly large mental hospital in north Massachusetts. My law firm, Ross and Hungrass, is set in Montana but the SCP base I was assigned to was in Leverett, Massachusetts. I was constantly going back and forth. I had just lost my last patient in Mount Massive, Eric London, a gang member... No, not a member, leader. He was wanted for theft, trespassing, fraud, assault, vandalism and murder. They caught him one night outside a small family owned diner. He was schizophrenic and avoided anyone that tried to talk to him. We had a few long talks and I seemed to be the only one able to speak to him. Eric was a great kid but Sly... His was another story. Sly was Eric's other person. Sly was brash and rude. He was the one responsible for the crimes. Eric was the unlucky one who got caught with a psychopath in his head. There was no way I could claim him not guilty, so I convinced the court it was his schizophrenia that caused the actions.

"Hello, Miss. Hungrass. How are you today?" I knew that voice anywhere. I smiled as I made my way to the reception desk.

"Hey Toby. I'm good. Any exciting news?" Toby was the nurse aid that was always wandering around. He was about two years younger than I, and he was the only semi-normal person here. Over the last few months we became extremely close. I would bring him coffee or lunch in exchange for patient records.

"We have two new additions today. A Luke Carters and an Aburee Harthen," he said clicking around on his computer.

As soon as he spoke my phone buzzed. It was a text from my team leader.            //- Additional assignment. Patient Aburee May Harthen. Class- Keter.-\\

My breathing became laboured and Toby could see the surprised look on my face. Before he could speak I asked if I could have Aburee's files and handed him my phone. He quickly nodded his head and after a few minutes and handed me a folder giving me a comforting smile.

"If you need my help, I'm here until nine tonight."

I thanked him and walked into one of the interview rooms and locked the door behind me. Two cases in three days? This wasn't normal but I wasn't worried. Luke was a Safe Patient; Safe-class objects are anomalies that are either sufficiently understood that they are now completely and reliably contained on a permanent basis or otherwise do not trigger their anomalous effects unless intentionally activated, therefore I would be able to focus on Aburee.

I have only ever come in contact with one other Keter class object, Luke's brother, Jeffery. As I said before, I am a lawyer. The Carters had been through a lot in the last year: Jeffrey had gotten into a fight which ended when he stabbed another boy to protect his older brother. The kid suffered minor wounds to the leg so the victim's parents filed a lawsuit and I was hired. I saved Jeffery from jail time and since it was out of self-defence, the Carters won and were not charged. I was then called in to help with a case a month before and it was the trial against Jeff. I was a trade-in lawyer for my partner, Alex Baldwin. We lost and Jeffrey escaped. Now Aburee seemed to have a darker part of a Keter object.

She is nineteen but she has more knowledge of the past than most history books tell. I needed to speak with her. Aburee is what we like to call a proxy, a humanoid with crazy abilities. Her abilities include unnatural speed, ability to change others thoughts and her surroundings. She also has crazy strength and stamina. I quickly gathered my stuff and walked out of the room.

"Hey Toby, can you watch some of my stuff for me?" I asked, walking towards him. He promised to protect my stuff so I handed him my bag and took off towards the High Security ward.
