- nineteen -

The next morning, Josh wanted to surprise Tyler by showing up at Joseph Enterprises. He had woken up early - at noon, which was actually very early for Josh, because he had the sleeping schedule of a bat when he wasn't working - and taken a shower, but hadn't really put on anything fancy. Skinny jeans, a black hoodie, and Vans; as soon as he had clothes on, Josh grabbed the keys to his car (which he had picked up yesterday when Tyler took him to the apartments) and headed out.

After driving for what felt like eons, Josh finally arrived to the glamorous building, parked, and practically ran inside. He slowed down when he entered the actual building, and went to sit down in the main lobby for a second to stretch out the time a little more. There were two other guys sitting there, dressed in pristine suits. Josh smiled at them before sitting down and pulling out his phone.

The men were talking, quite loudly, and what one of them said caught Josh's attention.

"--hear about Mr. Joseph's newest affair?" One of them chucked.

"Oh, yeah, that one guy that's friends with Audrey?" The other responded. It took Josh a second to realize they were talking about him.

"Yeah, that one. I feel kinda bad for him," the other admitted.

"Why?"

"Because all Joseph does is brag about him." The first one responded. He leaned in closer. "The only reason Joseph's with him is for the guy's body. 'One of the hottest guys I've ever seen'." The guy said in a deeper voice, mimicking Tyler.

Josh's jaw would've dropped if he wasn't in public.

"Aw, man, poor guy." The other guy sighed. "Somebody ought to tell him."

The first guy snorted. "Why? It's funny to see when Joseph's affairs get dumped."

Josh didn't stick around to hear more. Infuriated, he stomped over to the elevator. In his haste, he almost bumped into a woman. "Oh, sorry." Josh mumbled.

"It's fine," the woman replied mildly.

Josh jammed the button to the elevator, waiting impatiently for it to open. When it did, Josh rushed inside and said "19th floor" to the man there. The man nodded and pushed the button, looking at the woman that entered the elevator with Josh.

"Oh, I'm going to the same floor." The woman waved him away. She checked the time on her phone.

Josh crossed his arms over his chest, fighting against tears. Tyler had the nerve to yell at Josh yesterday, and it turns out that Tyler doesn't even care for Josh other than his body?

The elevator chimed happily, and Josh walked out. The woman walked out besides him, and both surprisingly went the same way. Josh's eyes scanned the doors until his gaze rested on the one that had a plaque besides it with Tyler Joseph engraved on it.

Josh slowed to a stop, and to his surprise, the woman did to. She looked at Josh, giving him a weird look.

"Uh, are you here to talk to Tyler?" Josh tilted his head.

"Yes, I am." She answered. "Are you a worker?"

"What? No." Josh furrowed his brow. "Are you?"

The woman chuckled, and she rolled her eyes. "No. I'm his wife."

At that second, the door opened. Tyler appeared with files in his hands, looking at them. He jerked to a stop when he noticed people in front of his door, and his eyes widened when he saw the woman and Josh there at the same time.

"Tell your little friend here to scram." The woman didn't even look at Josh. "We need to talk."

"Uh," Tyler kept looking at the woman and Josh, obviously nervous. "Jenna, what are you doing here?"

'Jenna' raised her eyebrows. "We have somewhere to be tonight, Tyler. I called you a few days ago about it. Have you signed the papers?"

Josh's eyes were wide, and he stood there for a second. Then, he turned to the woman. "Hi, I'm Josh." He declared. "And your husband fucked me two times in the last two weeks."

Josh threw Tyler a glare, turning and slapping him so hard that Tyler almost fell back. The expression on the woman's face shifted between confusion, appall, and slight anger.

"Wait, Josh, I can explain!" Tyler tried to say, frantic.

"You try to contact me ever again, and I'll fucking make you regret ever coming into this world." Josh spat, hands clutched into fists. He whirled around and almost ran out, practically seeing red. Seething, Josh headed back to the elevator. He could hear Tyler chasing him, and Josh picked his pace up a little. He stepped into the elevator and pushed the button that closed the elevator doors.

They closed right on time, Tyler barely shifting into Josh's line of sight. Then, the elevator zoomed down to the main floor. Josh stomped out, people parting around him, sensing the aura of rage around him.

"Have a nice day, sir!" The receptionist called as Josh left.

"Go to hell." Josh snapped in reply.
