Recap: Peter accidentally leaves the live stream on but instead mutes the sound, so the whole world saw what the Avengers are actually like.
-story begins here-
Whitney23:
Thank you Avengers for risking your lives for us.
-
VivianTroney:
Thank you Spider-Man for showing us everything through your eyes
-
DavidRewner1:
Thank you for being so brave for us Avengers
-
Thank you
Two words, simple, easy to understand, a phrase said so often everyday, whether it be for helping an old lady walk across the road, or saving a young teen from a mugging.
Two words, that Peter never expected to receive after accidentally live streaming their whole mission.
He sat on his bed, tears dripping down his face that he didn't bother wiping away. The room was dark, and he could hear the Avengers talking in the kitchen.
His hands still shook, and his Spider-Man phone was on the other side of the bed, the sound of notifications filling the room.
He didn't bother to check it.
He made a mistake, he knew. He had probably given away secrets of the Avengers that the world didn't need to know. He had probably given away his secret identity, he had shown the world his wound when he was shot, which had probably hurt the squeamish, he had made a mistake.
He had made a mistake.
SarahEvans:
Omg is Spider-Man okay? He was freaking shot!!
-
GhostBuster41:
I never really thought about how the Avengers risk their lives. Also; anyone else notice how much they worried about Spider-Man? They're like a family!

The world was going to hate him. The world was going to hate the Avengers.
The Avengers were going to hate him.
All because of the mistake he made.
A knock on the door made him jump out of his thoughts, quickly rolling onto his side and pretending to be asleep. They couldn't see him like this.
"Peter? Peter are you okay?" It was Tony, slowly opening the door, light flooding in. He should have heard him coming earlier.
Peter didn't answer, hoping he would think he was sleeping.
Tony walked over to his bed and sat down beside him, resting a hand on Peter's side gently.
"I know you're awake Pete," he said quietly.
Peter just sniffed loudly, not turning around.
Tony's eyes were soft as he gazed down at his son. "C'mere kid, come on, it's gonna be alright, I promise."
Peter sat up and wrapped his arms around Tony's waist without hesitation, sobs wracking his body. Tony immediately hugged him back, running his fingers through Peter's hair, resting his head against the head rest of the the bed to make it more comfortable for both of them.
"Shhh, it's okay Peter, it's okay."
"I made a mistake, I'm so sorry.... I made a mistake and now the whole world probably hates me, the A-Avengers probably hate me-"
"Nobody's going to hate you Peter. The Avengers don't hate you, and the world certainly doesn't. Do you wanna see the their reactions?"
Peter shook his head into Tony's chest, but Tony pulled out his phone anyway, pulling up the twitter app.
"Geez, Captain America has got some muscles, I could just lick them." Peter giggled slightly from that.
"Thank you Spider-Man for showing the human inside the Avengers we never get to see." Tony read out, squeezing Peter with the arm that was still wrapped around him.
"Omg I thought the Avengers had like no emotions but now... I ship some of them so much you have no idea!"
"I'm crying, is Spider-Man okay?!"
"IRONDAD IS A THING GUYS OMG SOMEONE DID A LIP READING VID ON YOUTUBE AND OMG GO WATCH IT LINK BELOW!" Tony said this one louder than the others, though Peter could read it over his shoulder. Peter smiled slightly all the same, watching as Tony showed him all the tweets, some even from famous celebrities and stars.
After Twitter, Tony went on Instagram, then Snapchat, Facebook, Youtube, and literally every other social media app that existed.
It was all the same; positive messages, reactions, and concern for Spider-Man's wellbeing.
They only stopped when Peter started drifting off, tucked into Tony's side, one hand gripped on his shirt like a lifeline.
Tony drifted off not long later, getting the first bit of sleep he had gotten in a long time. It was the same way that Pepper found them two hours later, when she wondered what had been taking Tony so long to bring Peter down for their late dinner.
She smiled as she stood in the doorway, watching as they slept peacefully, soft breathing filling the silence of the room except for the frequent dinging of the Spider-Man phone.
She gently closed the door, letting them sleep.

Over night, every social media platform had blown up with questions- and the Avengers soon realised that they couldn't leave the world in the dark forever.
So they decided to do one more live stream- just one- answering all the questions of the world.
They tweeted on the OfficialAvengers account to let everyone know that they'd be doing it at 12pm New York time.
Peter was the most nervous beforehand. He was glad to find out nobody had found out his secret identity, but there was no telling that they wouldn't find out through this live stream, not to mention, he could get hate for the first live stream.
He tugged the mask over his face and looked in the mirror. He smiled, glad no one watching would know that he's nervous while he was wearing the mask- just like the bad guys.
He walked out into the lounge, where Tony was setting up the phone on a stand, all the avengers assembling on the various couches and armchairs. Wanda and Vision had already claimed the 'love seat' as it was dubbed (an armchair wide enough to fit them both) and Natasha was nursing a steaming cup of peppermint tea, beside Clint who was attempting to look tough as he polished an arrow (something he'd never done in his life. Steve refrained from telling him he was doing it wrong, simply for the amusement of watching the internet crack up about it.)
Peter sat on the bean bag beside the coffee table, near where Bucky sat on the couch beside him. Steve was in the kitchen, making hot drinks to make everyone just a little bit more comfortable.
Pepper had saved a spot for Tony beside her, near Wanda and Vision. Thor was beside Clint, and Bruce was beside where Tony would sit and beside Bucky.
Steve came over and handed Pepper her tea, as well as Wanda's tea, which she let Vision sip. He then brought Peter a cup of hot chocolate, chuckling as Peter beamed when he noticed the marshmallows bobbing in the liquid heaven Steve had brewed for him.
He rolled up the bottom of his mask and sipped the hot chocolate, bundling himself up closer as he felt the warm liquid slip down throat, enjoying that warm feeling you got when you felt hot liquid in your stomach.
"Starting in three- two- one!" Tony pressed the button, then moved over to his spot, picking up his mug of coffee as he did so.
Questions were already rolling in, but they explained that they would start once they had enough viewers- which of course, only took about a minute.
"EverlyWoods asks- what exactly was happening in the mission Spider-Man live streamed?" Natasha read aloud from her phone.
"We were alerted of an attack from an enemy organisation called Hydra. We immediately called Spider-Man, who forgot to turn off his live stream and filmed the whole thing." Steve explained.
"I didn't forget, I accidentally pressed the wrong button." Peter interjected, placing his hot chocolate back on the coffee table.
Steve nodded. "Anyway, I think you know what happened from there."
"EricFew asks- is Spider-Man okay?"
Peter waved at the camera. "All good! My fast healing takes care of it." Peter said. "You don't need to worry."
He took another sip of the hot chocolate.
More questions rolled in, some asking what they were drinking, some sneaky ones about Peter's age (which they didn't answer) and most about their relationships.
For example, the question 'is Scarlet Witch and Vision a couple?' Came in, which of course, was a yes.
They also asked when Pepper and Tony were getting married, but they didn't have a date for that yet.
Bucky and Steve denied being in a relationship, even though they were holding hands. Steve looked rather sly as he sipped his tea.
When someone asked if Clint and Natasha were a couple, the two cracked up laughing for five minutes straight, and Natasha nearly fell off the couch.
The most asked question however- was if Irondad was a thing.
"What's irondad?" Tony asked, reading the question and frowning.
"It's ironman as a dad, I think my dad actually." Peter explained, the only part of his face that was shown going pink.
"Oh," Tony said. "I guess so, I mean not biologically or anything, but I'm a bit of a dad, aren't I?"
It was far from the truth- Peter literally called him dad everyday, and they had hugs before bed. He was the closest to a biological dad Peter had ever had, other than his real dad.
"I tell him I'm hungry and what does he say? Hi Hungry, I'm Tony. All I wanted was a sandwich, and he had to drop that on me." Peter said, sighing and stirring his teaspoon through his hot chocolate.
All too soon, the live stream was over, truly over, not just muted like last time.
"Well, at least that's over, who wants pizza?"
"Sorry I live streamed the whole-"
"Stop apologising kiddo, we get it, it was a mistake. If anything, it was a good thing, because now the world knows that we're human and sh*t like that."
"Language."
"Whatever cap."
Peter smiled as Tony held out his hands, inviting him in for a hug- Peter loved hugs.
The hug that was once a nice hug turned into an awkward one as Clint came out of nowhere and wrapped his arms around the duo.
"Barton let go I didn't invite you-" Tony was cut off as Natasha joined in, as well as Vision, Wanda, and soon Sam. Bucky hugged the part that Sam was in just to annoy him, trapping him in the hug.
"Get off me Barnes!"
Bucky hushed him, stroking his hair with one hand.
Bruce joined in too, and Thor seconds later, along with Steve.
"How I love showing physical signs of affection with my best friends!" Thor boomed.
"Oh yes, simply fantastic now get the f*ck off all of you!" Tony growled, making Peter giggle. Nobody moved, so Tony started shoving them off, everyone eventually letting go with small smiles.
Peter went to let go as well but Tony pulled him in again, not letting him go and sending death glares to everyone else.
"Not you Peter, you are a precious baby who needs to be taken care of."
"But-" Peter lifted his head to look at Tony but he used one hand to press it back into his chest.
"No." He said, hugging him tighter. Peter chuckled, patting his back.
Thor smiled, wrapping his arms around the two again. "I love you Tony."
"Alright alright I get the idea- now get off me!"
A/N Sorry this chapter wasn't the best, hope you liked it :)
