Chapter 12

"Pssst" I heard from behind me, already knowing who that was.

Ignore..

"Psssst" I heard again, but I kept continuing answering the history quiz.

Just ignore..

"Psssssst Skylar!" It went on.

Ignore it..

"Sky!"

It's going great like that Skylar, ignore..

"Skyyyylaaaaar"

You can do this Skylar..

"Hey Skylar!"

"Sk-"

"What the fuck do you want?!" I yelled a bit too loud through the classroom which made everyone turn their heads towards me including the teacher.

I looked at the warning gaze from Miss Grumble which made me look away in embarrassment as I felt my cheeks heat up.

I sighed when I felt irritated and shot an angry expression towards Cam before I turned around again and went further with what I've been doing.

"Skylar, listen to me for once!"

"What?!" I whisper-yelled softly and turned around to face Cam.

"When are we going to the fair?" He asked me as if it was really normal.

I immediately started to frown until it all suddenly made sense. The assignment!

On the small paper that Cam took, had been written that we had to go to the fair together including having evidence so that Dick could see that we really went together there. I mentally sighed and shot Cam another questioning look.

"Since when do you suddenly care about that whole assignment thing?" I asked him confused which made him look at me with widened eyes, but then he shrugged it off.

"Is there even a fair here in the neighborhood?" I asked him further.

"Yes, I already checked everything out so I also know where it is" He explained to me.

I frowned and looked at him like he grew a pair or two heads. From the beginning of this thing he was all grumpy as hell and now he suddenly acted like he cared and wanted to work with me.

Why did he even try and already planned this out ?

"We will talk about this later okay?" And that's how I ended our conversation and focused on my work in front of me.

I sighed while looking at my book, reading about Tsunamis and made the questions that belonged to it so I would be done with all of the homework that I got.

The lesson was over before I even knew it and I walked faster towards my locker for my books. I opened my locker and got the books that I needed. I slightly jumped when I saw someone besides me as I threw my locker shut.

I turned around to look at Tyler and Jesse which already made me feel uncomfortable. The last time didn't go that well and they both are known for their stupid unnecessary bullying.

"Hey idiot" Tyler sneered and pushed me which almost made me lose my balance, but I somehow managed to keep standing.

"What is your problem? Don't you have something better to do than bullying other people?" I rolled my eyes at them.

"Shut up, if we see that you annoy Cam one more time, you'll have to deal with both of us" Jesse followed pissed off.

"And what if I don't? Then what? Are you going to beat me like you did with other people? Well then go on, hit me! I'm not afraid for both of you" I stood up for myself against them even though I actually was a bit scared, but I wouldn't show them.

Tyler his face was emotionless and he creepily clenched his jaw. He suddenly walked closer to me and my throat felt dry. I needed to look a bit up at him since he was a couple of inches taller than me.

He lifted his fist which made me shut my eyes instantly, but after a couple of seconds I still didn't feel his fist. I slowly opened one eyes and then the other.

I frowned when I didn't even see Tyler standing in front of me anymore.

In fact, Tyler suddenly laid on the ground. Jesse was nowhere to be seen and Cam stood above Tyler with an angry face expression.

"Leave him alone Tyler, didn't you threaten him enough already?" Cam spat grumpy.

"This isn't over yet" Tyler gritted at me while pointing a finger at me as he walked away pretty fast.

"Hey, everything alright?" Cam asked and I silently nodded to answer his question.

"Did he hurt you somewhere?" He asked me then, almost sounding concerned.

Almost.

"N-no, t-thanks" I thanked him, without him I'd probably be beaten to pulp by now.

"Do you want to go home?" He suggested.

"Cam, he didn't touch me alright? Everything is fine" I laughed, because he acts like I'm a little child that needed help.

"Exactly yeah.. Do you have any plans for tonight?" He asked out of nowhere then.

"Not that I know, why?" I watched him curiously.

"We could also go to the fair tonight plus we'll be over with it immediately, that's what you wanted right?" He explained himself.

"Only because we'll be over with it then" I nodded and gave in.

"Good, I'll pick you up around 7" He suddenly beamed all happy and almost lit up whilst walking away.

He is such a weird boy.

A/N: Early update! I decided not to update one of my books and I'll also be busy on monday with my exams.
