"I congratulated my brother and Madhu and we soon made our way towards our home. My mom was crazy and cooking her favourite dishes and sweets filled our table. The baby was not yet born but we love the baby to the core. And my last thoughts weren't the yellow lehenga."

I was lying on my comfy bed after a long day. God, I am so tired and  my body aches everywhere. Today has been a great day and my thoughts were on those golden-brown eyes. They held so much intensity, Just the thought of him made me bright red.

He was easily the most handsome man I had ever seen. Yes, I do check out boys but haven't once caught up staring at them. I let out a huge sigh, that he had caught me and his smirk said everything. I groaned on my pillow.

" Do I smell something?" Shakthi asked me. 

" What smell?" I asked her in a boring tone. 

"Hey, Are you alright? You look so flushed?" She asked with concern while checking for my temperature.

"Uh...yeah. I'm fine?... I am just fine and tired. I mean... I am exhausted!" I rambled at her and started fanning myself.

" It's too hot right?" I added to my sentence to which she gave me a weird look. 

" Yeah... too hot that you got all flustered." She smirked and asked me, " who is that hot guy?"

Oh...ho. Well, what I am gonna answer her. If she knows about him I am so dead. The girls will tease me with no end each time they see me.

 "Which one?" I asked her innocently not knowing what she asked but she raised her eyebrows at me.

 " So, there is a guy? You were acting weirdly.." she just started but we were interrupted by two devils. They both entered the room with a tab in their hand.

"Here, Shravani wants to talk with you," Shruthi said and passes her tab over to me.

Shravani is my aunt Mangalam's daughter and Shruthi, Shalini and her are final year students at WCC college in Chennai. They share a bond like triplets do and now, I am cornered by these devils. Great!

"Hey, I haven't got a chance to speak to you today how was the engagement? Did everything go well? Met any hot guys?" She kept on posing Questions.

" Whoah... Hold on, Girl. What's the rush?" I asked her but Shakthi had other intentions to get information from me.

" Actually, Do you know? Shri was flustered and was groaning into her pillow when I entered the room. I am sure that something happened but she doesn't say a thing." she finished her thoughts to them and they all gave me a curious look. Now I can't deny them and so I let out an audible sigh.

"Okay after our dance performance, We had a memory lane of our school and college days and we totally forgot the audience around us. We felt embarrassed and made our way out but suddenly, Nisha slipped and we all fell along with her." I said which made them laugh and I continue to tell the story.

" That's not the important part, We fallen in front of a group of handsome and Hot looking men and one of them helped me to get up on my feet. You know the moment my hand touched his, I felt as if I was electrocuted and he was taller than me maybe 6'2 foot. He had the perfect tan and most importantly his eyes. His eyes was something that I really can't explain it was too intense and the colour of his pupil was golden brown but more like rich brown." I described about him while relieving that moment and could feel my cheeks get hot.

I looked up and saw my sisters and they were all smirking at me. 

' Well, What a romantic gesture?'; 'someone has a crush?'; ' Girl, you are whipped!'

Everyone spoke their thoughts at the same time and I almost couldn't follow what they were saying? I just hushed them and asked them to be quiet.

" Stop it! girls. It's not like I am gonna be seeing him anytime soon." I said to them.  

" Well, I don't think so. I have a strong feeling that you are gonna see him soon." Shruthi said and Shalini nodded her head agreeing with her.

" Yes, I think it's destiny!" she added to which I shrugged at them and we all giggled at each other. Then we heard our room door open and mom and my aunt came inside.

" What's so funny you girls are laughing at?" Mom asked them. And they started to narrate today's story. 

We don't hide anything from our parents and always share with them about our day. They help us in understanding with what's right and wrong and support us. Soon we were talking about something else and my mom cleared her throat.

" Shristi, I have got  something to tell you. You know you have completed your studies and have a good job at your hand. I think it's time for us to search for a groom for you. What do you say?" My mom said to me, it's been a while since my parent's started talking about this marriage.

I know I will marry the person my parents choose but I want to get to know about the person. I don't know whether I am ready for the next step. It's my life so they won't force me. I know they respect my choice. But there is always an uncertainty inside me.

" Ma, You know I am not ready for that step yet and do you feel like I am a burden to you?" I asked her and she just sighed.

" Kanna, It's not like that. Soon you are gonna be 25 and you have sisters lined up next to you. We are not asking to marry right away just give it a try. It's so hard to find good people where we can trust them. So if we start searching for a groom maybe in a few years we can find your prince charming." My aunt teased me and that made me smile at them.

I took a deep breath to calm down and said, " Okay, But if I like the person I need to get to know about him and his family. Only then I will accept your proposal."

My sisters laughed and said, " So you want to date the person before marriage? That too with our parent's permission. What an idea girl! " They giggled at each other.

" Whatever but Ma, This is my condition." I stated clearly to them and they had a million dollars smile.

" Okay, what I'm gonna say next is very important and you need to be patient till I finish and is that fine?" Mom said to me which made me frown at but anyway I nodded my head for her to continue.

" One of your father's friends family will be coming this Friday to see you. So you have to take a day off from work." She said and I was shocked.

" What mom? Just now I gave you the 'okay' sign and you are asking me to meet them." I groaned in frustration.

"So what you too just now you said it's okay for us to search for a groom and now you are denying it. Look, It's just your father's friend and No one else." my mom explained to me. 

And I just mumbled a small okay and they were like they had won a lottery ticket.

" Okay, You girls it's your bedtime and Sleep tight." They said gave us a goodnight kiss. With that I closed my eyes and sleep took over me.

I woke up when the alarm goes off and got ready for the office. Maybe it's my new day and my new start. I sighed and started brushing my hair by then Shakthi got ready. We reached down and had breakfast. Soon our company cab arrived.

I made my way to our cabin and started to prepare for today's interview and complete some paperwork. Once I had done, I went to my Manager and gave away my leave form.

She just smiled and asked, " What's so special on Friday?" I sighed and explained the reason. She just laughed at me and said 'All the best'. I don't know what's so funny. But soon it was Friday. Today is the day I need to face my father's friend's family.
