Chapter 7

Percy's POV

*Just after they stepped out of apartment*

Taking a breath of the New York air, I couldn't help but feel slightly worried about heading back to camp

"You ok Perce?" Thalia asked, seeming to sense my worry

"Just worried about camp, I haven't been there since Annabeth's death." I said.

"Well obviously you haven't been there, you just woke yesterday." Thalia said, rolling her eyes, "Besides that, you have nothing to worry about, the older campers love you like a brother, and most of the younger ones worship you, everything will be fine." She continued, resting her hand on my shoulder in a comforting manner, "Now how about we find a way to get to camp."

Upon hearing her discuss a way to get to camp, I couldn't help the smirk coming across my face at the many different methods I had.

"And don't even think of calling Blackjack!" Thalia threatened, "I still hate heights, and I'm not afraid to throw you off of the pegasus."

"Ok, ok, I wouldn't dream of it." I said, placatingly, "but how does mist travel sound?" I asked.

"What is mist travel?" Thalia asked.

"It is an ability I have as a son of Poseidon, I pull apart mine and whoever I am taking with me's body, and turn it into mist before sending us to our location and piecing us back together." I responded, smiling.

"How about no, I like my body how it is." Thalia said, seeming to shudder at the thought of being pulled apart.

"Fine." I huffed, "How about I ask Mrs. O'Leary?" I asked, trying to remember if she had ever met my hellhound.

"Who?" Thalia asked, obviously confused, and answering my unasked question.

"Oh you are gonna love her!" I said excitedly, "Just don't kill her please." I continued, remembering that O'Leary was in fact a hellhound, and not really wanting my dog to die.

"Not kill her? Why would I kill her? I don't even know who she is!" Thalia responded, obviously irritated with me not explaining anything.

"Well you almost met her, back when Persephone summoned us about the sword that Hades had made." I responded, thinking back. "But you are gonna love her, now stand back." I continued, using my water powers to make an Ice whistle out of the air, before blowing in it, hoping that it would work.

After a couple of seconds later, I noticed the shadows starting to condense on one area, before the second largest hellhound I had ever seen popped out in front of me, though I did notice that she was looking a little larger than the last time I had seen her.

"HELLHOUND!!" Thalia screamed, pulling out her spear and her shield Aegis

"Woah Woah Woah!" I said, running to stop Thalia from stabbing my dog, "Hold up Thals! This is Mrs. O'Leary!"

"What?!?" She Screamed, "This Hellhound!" she continued, gesturing towards Mrs. O'Leary, who leaped with excitement, probably thinking Thalia was gonna throw the spear for her to fetch, "is your pet?!?"

"Well, yes." I said simply, "I got her from Daedalus."

"Daedalus...." Thalia said, now resorting to staring at Mrs. O'Leary in shock, "So you have had her for like three years?"

"Yep! She usually stays in the underworld with Cerberus, but every once in a while I call her out to play catch the greek and other games." I said, happy to show Mrs. O'Leary off.

"Catch the greek?" Thalia asked, obviously confused.

"Oh it's a fun game, I throw a practice dummy, and she chases after it and brings it back, Daedalus showed me the game." I responded, whilst walking over and petting the hellhound behind the ear, and causing her to shake her leg and probably make the mortals think they are having a small earthquake.

"Oh... ok." Thalia said, before shaking her head, "Anyways! How is she supposed to get us to camp?" Thalia asked, trying to get back on topic.

"Oh your gonna love this, here climb on board." I said, before indicating for her to get on the dogs back.

"Ok.." Thalia said hesitantly, before walking over and climbing up, before I then climbed up in front of her.

"You better hold on Thals." I warned, before leaning over and telling Mrs. O'Leary where to take us.

And with that, me and Thalia vanished into the shadows, only to reappear from the shadows of Thalia's tree and Peleus.

"What the..." Thalia said, shaking her head to clear the dizziness from shadow traveling

"Cmon Thals, we need to tell Chiron we are here." I said, hoping off the hellhounds back, and petting the dragon next to us on the head, "Good boy Peleus, keep guarding the tree."

"Right!" Thalia said, before sliding off Mrs. O'Leary's back, "Lets go!"

I couldn't help but chuckle at that, "Alright, c'mon girl, I think Nico is in camp." I said back to Mrs. O'Leary, and causing a bone rattling bark of joy to come from her enormous mouth, and watching her bound off in search of the son of Hades.

Along the way towards the big house, I got greeted by my old friends, I was punched by Clarisse, hugged by my cousins, Katie and Miranda, assaulted with questions from the Stoll brothers, who seemed to be following the two daughters of Demeter. Before they were stopped by Pollux, who seemed to have been waiting for them to reach camp.

"Finally! You two made it!" Pollux exclaimed, running out of the strawberry fields. "What took you two so long?!?"

"Sorry Pollux, I was introducing Thalia to Mrs. O'Leary." I said, before coming up with an idea with Mrs. O'Leary that I would have to try out later.

"It doesn't matter!" Pollux yelled, before draggin the two in the direction of the Arena.

"What's going on man?" Percy asked, "I know you said Gemini was trying to gain control, but how much could have changed in such a small amount of time?"

"Nothing has changed, but the older campers wanted to see you." Pollux said.

"We just talked to some of them, and why are we going to the Arena?" Percy responded, still confused.

"I told you the older campers want to see you, and I told them not to say anything to you till I had a chance!" Polux responded, sounding stressed.

"Alright man, just calm down and take a deep breath." Percy said, trying to calm him down.

"Calm down?!? Calm down?!?" Pollux yelled, drawing some attention from some of the younger campers, "How can I calm down when my brother is trying to make the younger campers turn against you?!?"

"Pollux!" Thalia yelled, delivering a quick smack to the back of his head, "Just calm down, you said that it would only work on campers that didn't have any trust or faith in Percy, and most of the younger campers hero worship him, so for now I think everything is fine." Thalia said, sounding exasperated.

"Yeah man, besides even if a few turn, the fact that everyone else has my back is more than enough, besides I am planning to go to New Rome when summer ends anyways." I said, again trying to calm the irate son of Dionysus.

"New Rome?!? Why are you going there?" Pollux exclaimed, again.

"Yeah, I'm going to the college in New Rome. I thought you knew."

"No!! I wasn't told of this." Pollux exclaimed.

"Pollux stop screaming!" Thalia yelled, delivering another smack to his head, "I will be going with the Kelp Head to New Rome to keep an eye on him, ok?"

"You are?" I asked, honestly surprised that she would be joining me.

Thalia just rolled her eyes, and opened her mouth, probably to give a sarcastic retort, but before she could we stepped into the Arena and heard Nico cry out about how Hellhound slobber doesn't wash out. And a round of laughter to follow.

Third Person POV

And with that, the rest of the months went by swimmingly, Percy was informed by Nico that Mrs. O'Leary was bigger, because she was expecting pups. Apparently Her and Cerberus got a little too friendly.

Percy also continued to train the New Campers, though the amount willing to be trained by him had slowly decreased because of Gemini's influence, and Thalia had started training the others, but her following had also decreased after she refused to date Gemini and he decided to try to ruin her life.

Over the months, Percy and Thalia had gotten closer and closer, much to the surprise of the older campers, and after an extremely worried Thalia had confronted Percy, he finally let loose the many emotions he had bottled up over Annabeth's death, which he had since refused to mourn, trying to instead stay strong for the other campers. And since that day Percy and Thalia had become almost inseperable.

Gemini had tried many times to convince his father to help him overthrow Percy, to the point that Dionysus had threatened to take away Gemini's powers if he didn't stop bugging him on the matter.

Gemini had also tried many times to have Percy accused of treason, going from saying that he was having Mrs. O'Leary attack the campers, which after the Olympians had come down to investigate and they saw Mrs. O'Leary surrounded by a batch of new hellhound puppies, which had been delivered the day before, and seeing just how friendly the momma hellhound was, and after Percy had agreed to let each of the Olympians have a puppy of their choice, seeing as how O'Leary had had close to thirty pups, which was extremely surprising. And after they decided that Mrs. O'Leary wasn't a threat to the campers, as long as they didn't try to attack her, her pups, or Percy. They deemed Gemini untrustworthy, and proceeded to ignore his many other attempts of having Percy tried for treason.

Slowly, as the months trailed down and the weeks went away, Percy found himself thinking of what would happen when he decided to go to New Rome, which known only to him and Thalia, was going to happen the next day.

"So Perce." Thalia started, flopping down on Percy's lap at the Poseidon table in the dining pavilion, something that had become an almost everyday occurrence. "We're still going to New Rome Tomorrow, right?" She asked with a whisper.

"Of course, Thals." Percy responded, wrapping his arms around Thalia, and trying to reach for his last blue pancake, which Thalia promptly took and started to eat. Causing him to pout. "We will be leaving in the morning."

"Just making sure." Thalia said, in between bites of Percy's blue pancake. And seeing Percy's look, she opted to tease him, "Oh was this yours?" She asked, waving the last piece of pancake in front of Percy's mouth, before pulling it back and eating it. Gaining a groan of annoyance from Percy, and her to jab him in his side with her elbow, much to Percy's discomfort.

"Nope." Percy groaned, rubbing his side, "Definitely wasn't my precious blue pancake."

"Good." Thalia said, smirking at Percy's discomfort. "Well I best get packed to go.

But as Thalia was getting ready to stand up, they were interrupted by the flashing in of the thirteen Olympians, Dionysus having already been in the dining Pavilion, enjoying his Breakfast.

"Perseus Jackson!" Zeus Thunder, turning towards Percy with his master bolt in hand, before stopping when he noticed Percy and Thalia's position. "Daughter? What are you doing on the Sea scums lap?" Zeus asked, obviously confused

"Sitting in it." Thalia responded simply, waving towards Artemis and the Hunters, the latter of whom had arrived at just before breakfast. "Why do you have your master bolt out?"

"Gemini has brought proof that Perseus Jackson is a traitor to Olympus!" Ares Bellowed, staring at Percy and Thalia with pure hatred, "so now we get to kill the punk!"

"Proof?" Percy asked, sounding almost bored. "I thought we had already gone over this like fifty time with Gemini. And I thought we had already deemed myself innocent."

"That was before he brought forth plans from your cabin, and in your handwriting showing all the weak points of the camp." Zeus growled, obviously not liking having been tricked by who had once been his favorite nephew, "What do you have to say for yourself."

To this Percy just rolled his eyes, "I say that I am innocent." He said, before turning and taking a drink of his blue coke.

"Prove it punk!" Ares bellowed, not liking how bored Percy seemed.

Again Percy rolled his eyes, "is punk all your know how to say, I mean seriously. Even Clarisse has better nicknames for me."

"Shut up punk!" Ares bellowed, turning a dark shade of gold in the face, and summoning a broadsword. "Before I make you!"

"Oh please Ares, just sit down!" Hades yelled, sounding just as bored as Percy, "the boy beat you when he was twelve, what makes you think he can't now that he has more training?" This caused some of the older campers to chuckle quietly, and Ares to turn on Hades, before the shadows converged on Ares and held him in place.

"Anyways!" Zeus yelled, causing lightning to flash, "Back to the matter at hand, how do we know you speak the proof?"

"You want proof?" Percy asked, taking sips of his blue coke and still sounding bored.

"Yes!" Ares bellowed, before a shadow wrapped around his mouth and shut him up.

"Are you sure?" Percy asked, "Just know that if I provide this 'proof' for which you ask, you will lose my trust, seeing as how you obviously don't trust me." Percy said, narrowing his eyes at the end, and causing several of the Olympians to shift uneasily, though Percy was mostly directing it at Zeus, seeing as how the other Olympians didn't seem to agree with the supposed evidence against him.

To this Zeus shifted uneasily, not wanting, if Percy was innocent, to lose the trust that Percy had in him, nor wanting to risk losing Percy's loyalty. "Umm, well..." Zeus fumbled, trying to decide what best to say, on one side, if Percy is a traitor then they need to no, but on the other, if Percy actually wasn't, then he risked causing Percy to turn against them.

"Fine, I don't care." Percy said, moving Thalia off his lap and walking in front of the Olympians and Staring Zeus in the eyes. "I Perseus Jackson, Son of Poseidon and holder of many titles, swear on the river Styxs that I have never betrayed Olympus, nor have I thought of betraying Olympus. And the plans found were most likely my plans from the battle of the Labyrinth, where I was making sure we were fully protected."

And as the thunder cracked across the sky, and Percy remained standing. Zeus turned his master bolt on Gemini, "YOU!" Zeus thunder, "You said he was a traitor!"

To this Gemini cowered away, before seeming to gain back his courage.. Somewhat, "He is a traitor!" Gemini yelled back, "I swear it on the Styx."

Now to any obvious observe, and any demigod of normal intelligence, we all knew that this was a very bad idea, but Gemini was what is commonly know to as an idiot, and so as the thunder crashed, and the Olympians turned back to Gemini, all they saw was a pile of ashes. Signifying that the Styx had claimed his soul and was making him suffer for the rest of time.

"Well then." Percy said, still sounding bored. "Now that that's over with, can I go. I need to get packed."

"Packed?" Poseidon asked, having stayed at the back of the Olympians and having had complete faith that Percy would be fine. "Packed for where?"

"Oh! Didn't I tell you?" Percy asked

"We are moving to New Rome!" Thalia jumped in, causing the campers and Olympians to cry out in shock.

Thats the chapter, I know it wasn't much of a betrayal, but I figured I would try to be unique in how I went about it. I hope you enjoy, and the next chapter will most likely be their journey through New Rome, unless I change my mind.

Again please let me know what you want on the Harry Potter side.

We have 1 vote for it being with Harry's kids, instead of during one of the normal Harry Potter books. Just let me know I will take all votes into account before I officially decide what will happen with this book.

I hope you all have a fantastic day, and I will write y'all, next time!
