Chapter 6

Chapter 6

Third Person POV

As the day went by, Percy and Thalia were able to successfully get packed and ready to head towards camp, but before they could go to the camp, they had the hardest challenge of their life. Convincing Sally to let Poseidon find and pay for a new house for her and her family, and allowing Poseidon to give them money, because, if there was one thing the two children of the big three knew, it was that Sally was very, very independent, and liked making her own path.

"Hey, mom." Percy started, shifting uneasily as he tried to think of how to convince her. "Can I talk to you for a second?" He continued to ask, from the kitchen.

"Of course sweety!" Sally responded cheerfully, before stepping away from Andromeda and Estelle, who were playing in the living room

"So. whats up?" Sally asked, after reaching the kitchen

"Well... you see mom, Poseidon stopped by earlier today." Percy started.

"Ok?" Sally responded, obviously confused by why Percy told her this.

"And he informed me of a conversation that he had with Zeus." Percy continued, still trying to decide how best to word this.

"And?" Sally prompted

"Oh gods Perce, you're hopeless!" Thalia suddenly called out "Poseidon offered to move you, Paul, Estelle, and Andromeda to a new house of your choosing, and to put a protective shielding on it to protect you all from monsters" Thalia said quickly.

"Oh." Sally responded, obviously not expecting that response, "well I think we are safe where we are."

"Well you are safe for now." Percy said, "but what about when Andromeda gets older, and her scent gets stronger? We don't have smelly Gabe to cloud her scent."

"Well then you can come and stay with us to fend off the monsters" Sally said, obviously not wanting to have to owe Poseidon anything.

"Mom." Percy started, "I'm not always going to be around, I mean I am moving to New Rome in just a couple of months to start college." I said, shifting uneasily.

"Oh... I just thought, with everything that happened recently... with Annabeth.." Sally started, now starting to shift uncomfortably.

"You thought that with Annabeth's death, that I would abandon the idea of New Rome, and go to a school closer to here?" Percy asked

"Well... yes." Sally responded

Percy sighed, "mom." He stared gently, "New Rome is still the safest place for me to go to school, and even if I chose to abandon that idea, I won't always be around. I will eventually move out and hopefully start a family, assuming i'm not dead by then."

"I know.." Sally said, sighing. "But do we really need to move out?"

"Mom. it's just for yours and everyone else's safety." Percy said, gaining some confidence.

"What about Paul's job, you can't expect him to quit working.

"Of course not!" Percy exclaimed. "I never said you had to move far, just somewhere that dad can ensure the protection of the house."

"Please Mrs. Blofis, think of what is best for your daughters." Thalia said softly, hoping that Sally had the same loyalty and Percy.

Sally sighed in slight defeat, "I know, I just don't like depending on someone else, you understand, Percy."

"Of course I understand, why else would I have given you medusa's head all those years ago instead of doing the job myself." Percy said, laughing softly at the memory, before catching Thalia's confused look 'Tell you later' Percy mouthed, receiving a nod in confirmation.

"Fine." Sally said, "I guess a new house wouldn't hurt.

"Oh, and Zeus agreed to let Poseidon give some money to help out." Percy said quickly.

"What?!?" Sally exclaimed, "I can't accept that!"

"Just think of it as child support for me and Andy." Percy said, having obviously come up with a nickname for his sister.

Again Sally sighed in slight defeat, "fine, if you really think this is the best way.. How much money are we talking about anyways?"

"I don't know, maybe a couple hundred million, enough for many generations of our family, at least that is how dad described it, enough to provide for generations." Percy said, before raising his hand to silence any of Sally's refusals, "mom just say you will accept, it will make me feel better knowing that you are provided for."

"Ok, if you are sure this is for the best." Sally said, finally admitting defeat for probably the first and only time in her life.

"I am sure." Percy said, before pulling Sally in for a hug, "I love you mom, always remember that."

"I love you too sweetie." Sally said, before pulling away "Alright, who wants some blue cookies?" Sally asked, clapping her hands quickly to gain the attention of everyone

*LineBreak*

And so the day continued, Percy introducing Thalia and Andy to the world famous blue cookies. Poseiodn coming over to finally meet his daughter, after Percy IM'ed him to berate him about not saying hi to her earlier in the day, and Poseidon once again increasing Percy's powers, giving him the ability to talk to greek sea monsters, like the Ophiotaurus or Charybdus, much to Percy's irritation, and Thalia's slight amusement and irritation, seeing as how her father had hardly even talked to her since she camp back to life, much less visited her at her home and increased her demigod abilities. And as the day rolled to a close, Percy and Thalia decided it was time to say their goodbyes.

"Hey Andy, come over here real quick." Percy called out.

"Ok!" She responded, hoping up from the floor and running towards Percy, "What's up?" she asked, bouncing slightly on her feet.

"Me and Thalia are heading away for a little while." Percy said, kneeling down next to her.

"Why?" Andromeda asked, not understanding why her brother had to leave again.

"Because the camp needs us there right now." Thalia responded, kneeling next to the two children of Poseidon.

"Can I come?" she asked, giving the two her best baby seal eyes.

"Don't look Thals." Percy whispered, covering her eyes, before turning back to his sister, "And you, don't try my specialty against me, I invented the seal eyes." He said jokingly.

"Oh." Andy responded, pouting slightly, "but when can I go to camp, I already know I am a demigod."

"Just a few more years.?" Percy responded "And when the time comes, I will introduce you to the campers myself." He continued, ruffling her hair.

"Ok!" Andy responded, back to her usual

"Alright Percy, lets go, we told Chiron we would arrive by the campfire." Thalia said, tapping Percy on the shoulder and starting towards the door.

"Alright, alright, I'm coming." Percy said, stopping on his way to the door to give Estelle a kiss on her head. "Take care mom, and keep me posted if anything happens. Love you all."

As Percy turned towards the door though, he was suddenly interrupted by the formation of an Iris Message, before it stopped before being fully formed.

"Hello?" Percy asked, having never seen an IM stop forming. "Fleecy is that you?"

"Fleecy?!? No!" He heard a voice exclaim. "It's Iris! Why would you assume that it was Fleecy?"

"Well Fleecy said she handles the messages. Sorry about that Iris. What's up?" Percy said, before trying to get back to the matter at hand

"Well I was watching camp through my rainbows, and I heard that I thought would interest you." Iris responded.

"A conversation?" Percy asked, obviously confused. "Between who?"

"You will see." Iris responded, before the IM finished forming, and Percy and Thalia were met with Mr. D and his son Gemini

"Dad! Why won't you help me take my rightful place in control of the camp?" Gemini asked, sounding irritated

"Gimmy." Mr. D responded, sounding bored, "Why can't you just be like your brother Pollux and go take care of the strawberries.

"ITS GEMINI!" Gemini bellowed, "And I won't go care for the strawberries, I deserve to be incharge of this camp, alongside you father!"

Mr. D rolled his eyes, obviously having had this conversation before.

"C'mon dad! You can't honestly tell me you prefer Peter leading the camp. I mean he couldn't even protect the Annabelle girl" Gemini said, purposely mispronouncing mine and Annabeth's names.

"It's Perseus and Annabeth, Gim, I have told you this before." Mr. D responded irritatedly, and surprising Percy and Thalia greatly at him correcting his son. "And I told you that he couldn't have done anything for the girl, he was facing the most powerful serpent alive.

"Oh please, we both know he wouldn't even hurt a dracaena, let alone take down python. I bet he lied and killed Annabelle so that he could take credit for it. And why do you insist on defending him, you hate all demigods, INCLUDING ME!" The son of Dionysus responded, yelling at the end.

"Because Percy saved your brother, remember. And he saved Olympus twice." Dionysus responded, rolling his eyes at his son.

"BULLSHIT!" Gemini yelled. "He didn't save anyone."

"Gimmy, just be quiet and go care for the strawberries, and send pollux here, I need a word with him." Dionysus said sighing

"Agh! Fine!" Gemini bellowed, before storming out of the room

and as the message ended, Percy and Thalia could hear Iris chuckling.

"Told you that you would like that!" Iris said in a sing-song voice, before the IM faded.

"Did Mr. D just..." Percy started, before trailing off unable to form the complete thought.

"I think so.." Thalia said, shaking her head as if to clear some unbelievable thoughts.

"Dam.... I never thought I would see the day." Percy said, running a hand though his wild hair.

"Yeah..." Thalia said, before seeming to clear her head, "Anyways. We still need to go to camp!" She continued, before again being stopped by the formation of yet another IM starting to form.. "Oh come on!" Thalia yelled.

"Percy! Are you there?" Yelled a voice from the still forming message.

"Yeah, I'm here." Percy responded, before seeing the message finish forming to show Pollux on the other end, "What's up Pollux?"

" Not too much... Hey you still coming to camp tonight?" Pollux said, before seeming to get to what he wanted to talk about quickly.

"Yeah, me and Thalia were just about to start heading that way."

"Thalia?" Pollux asked, before seeming to change his mind on the question. "It doesn't matter, I need to talk to you real quick."

"Alright." Percy said, "What's up?"

"Well you know my brother Gemini?" Pollux asked.

"Yeah, the kid's been a thorn in my side since he arrived. Why?" Percy responded.

"Well you know how we couldn't figure out what powers he inherited from my dad?" Pollux hurried

"Yeah. Why, did you figure out his powers?" Percy prompted.

"I think he inherited powers over my dad's madness domain!" Pollux exclaimed, obviously not happy about it, "Do you know what that means?"

"Not really, man." Percy responded honestly, earning an eye roll from Thalia. "Why?"

"Well I think he is going to use the power to try to gain control of camp!" Pollux exclaimed, shifting uneasily.

"What?" Percy asked confused, "What makes you say that?"

"Well I had a dream last night!" Pollux continued, worried.

"And?" Percy prompted, seeing Thalia starting to get irritated.

"Well in the dream I saw you doing all your tasks, except it wasn't how the task went down. It was everyone else doing the tasks, and you then threatened everyone to gain credit!" Pollux exclaimed. "And when I told my dad the dream, he did some of his godly mumbo jumbo before telling me that someone had influenced my dreams!"

"Really?!? And you think it was Gemini?" Percy asked, obviously getting worried.

"Well I didn't at first, but my dad called me into the big house earlier and confirmed that Gemini had slight control over his domain of madness, and he said that Gemini has continuously come to him trying to convince him to help gain 'control' over camp!" Pollux exclaimed, yet again.

"Alright, calm down man." Percy said raising his hands in a placating manner, "Has anyone else appeared to have these dreams?"

"Just a few of the older campers!" Pollux said, "But dad said that the power would only convince those who have any level of doubt in you"

"Have any of them seemed to believe the dreams?" Percy asked, worried about the possibility of his friends turning on him.

"NO!" Pollux said, seemingly hurt by the question, "We know you wouldn't lie about the task man! We know you, it's the new campers you will have to worry about. They don't know you like the rest of us."

"Alright, thanks for the heads up Pol, me and Thalia will get the camp and we can discuss this more then. Sound good?" Percy responded.

"Yeah, sounds good." Pollux said, seeming to calm down, "Just hurry man, I think he is planning to try to infiltrate most of the new campers minds soon!"

"Alright, were coming." Percy said, before swiping through the message.

"Well then." Thalia responded, "I guess we have more work to do."

Percy chuckled at that, "Yeah, cmon Thals, lets go deal with this kid, and I guess I owe Dionysus a thanks." Percy said, shuddering at the thought of thanking Mr. D.

"Cmon Kelp Head." Thalia said, dragging Percy towards the door, "No more delays!"

"Ok" Percy said, raising his hands in surrender, before sending another goodbye to his family.

I hope you all like this chapter, the next will have a bit more to do with the betrayal, before we move on slowly towards our wizardly adventure. Now I have another question, last chapter I asked what Harry Potter book you wanted this to take place during, I still want to know that, but I also want to know if you want, instead of it taking place during a Harry Potter book, if you want it to be with Harry's kids. I can do either way! Just let me know, and have a nice day :)
