Chapter 5

Percy's POV

*Just as Percy started drifting to sleep*

As I fell into my usual ever fitful slumbers, I was disturbed by my usually demigod dreams by someone trying to contact me, on something that sounded oddly similar to an old radio.

"Percy!" a distant voice bleated, a voice that I recognized easily as that as my first friend that I had made, in the world of the gods.

"Grover!" I called out, "Why is this connection so bad?"

"Didn't Thalia tell you?" Grover asked, his voice sounding slightly closer, "the empathy link was permanently weakened by Hera!"

"Oh. Right." I said, feeling slightly embarrassed at having forgotten such an important detail.

"Anyways! I don't have much time." Grover said, breaking me out of my thoughts.

"Why? What's wrong, are you under attack? Do you need my help?" I asked, probably sounding worried.

"Wrong? No nothing is wrong!" Grover said, like it was obvious. "I just don't have time, because the connection is slowly failing. I am letting you know that whenever you return to camp, I won't be there. I am heading back out into the wild to perform my duties." Grover said, sounding a mixture of excited and tired when he mentioned his duties.

"Oh. Ok G-Man, just be careful, I can't lose anyone else!" I said, feeling a little upset, that he wouldn't be at camp.

"Don't worry! I have company." Grover said.

"Company? What do you mean? Did you find a way to allow Juniper to travel with you?" I asked, confused.

"What?!? No! Meg is with me." Grover said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world, let me tell you, it wasn't.

"Meg? The daughter of Demeter that traveled with Apollo? Why is she traveling with you?" I asked, thoroughly confused.

"Something about needing alone time after the death of Neros. And wanting to take care of the sanctuary in California! I think she said that it was her birth father's place." Grover said, obviously trying to rush through the conversation, and his reason was obvious as his voice had now started to get fainter and fainter.

"Ok G-Man, you two keep each other safe!" I said, "And IM me or something when you get to your destination so I know that you are safe, ok man." I continued quickly, earning an exasperated sigh from Grover

"Alright Percy. Well I better get going, this connection is about to br.." Grover said, before losing connection.

"Well now what?" I asked myself, as I continued to float in the nothingness of whatever this place was that I was in.

"Now you must prepare." Three voices said, breaking me from more of my thoughts. And causing me to jerk my head around so fast, that I probably got whiplash.

"Lady Fates?" I asked confused, "What do you mean to prepare? Prepare for what?"

"Your challenges have not yet ended, young hero. You still have many more challenges to face before you shall rest." They said at once, staring deep into my soul.

"Challenges?!?" I asked, feeling angry. "What do you mean challenges, why can't I be done now! Why must you continue to make my life harder? And why did you have to take Annabeth from me?" I asked, thoroughly irritated.

The Fates shifted, I don't know from what, anger at me, or uncomfortable with my anger. "That was not our choice young hero, we were ready to let you rest. But another power is interfering." They said, quickly glancing off to the side, but I didn't look, choosing to continue to stare the three sisters down.

"What do you mean it wasn't your choice? You are the Fates! And what other power?" I asked, before a feeling of dread hit me. "Wait! Is it Ananke?" fearing the answer.

"No." The Fates said together, "Our mother had nothing to do with what is to come, someone else is interfering." They finished, again casting a glance off to the side, and this time I chose to follow where they looked, only to be met with more confusion.

"Where did that wall come from?" I asked, bewildered with why there was a random brick wall in the middle of all this nothingness. "And why is there a crack in it?"

"Crack!?!" The Fates screamed, "What crack?!?"

"That crack, right there." I said, pointing at the growing crack in the wall.

"Quick, Clotho, get the duct tape!" The Fate in the middle, I think it is Lachesis, said, sounding nervous.

"Will it be enough?" Asked Atropos. "If the wall is already cracked, what is to stop them from getting through?" and as she asked that question, the crack in the wall grew larger.

"Stop mentioning the wall!" Clotho yelled, slowly wrapping the wall in duck tape. "And get me more tape, this won't be enough!"

"Lady Fates?" I asked, more confused than ever with how they were acting, and only to be ignored.

"Lady Fates?" I tried again, only to meet the same result.

'Annabeth said the Fates used to go by another name.' I thought to myself, 'what was that name' as I thought about what the other name of the Fates was, they continued to bellow and scream about the growing crack in the brick wall.

"Moirai!" I yelled, having finally figured out the name. "Lady's Moirai" this seemed to cause the sisters to freeze

"What did you call us?" Clotho asked, sounding even more scared.

"Lady's Moirai." I said, hoping to sound confident.

"Where did you hear that name?" The sisters asked as one.

"Annabeth... I think." I said hesitantly, the memory of the name fading completely, "Why"

"Impossible." They mumbled. "Not even a daughter of Athena should know of that name. No no no. A greater power is at work." They continued to mumble for a couple of minutes, before they again froze and turned towards the wall. Whose crack had now spread exponentially. And it looked like the wall was about to collapse. "Quick! Get him out of here!" They screamed at each other, but before they even turned, I was suddenly awake.

"That was one weird dream." I said groggily, slowly trying to sit up, before feeling a random weight on my chest. "What the.." I said, looking down, and being met with probably the most confusing, and terrifying sight to behold me at such a time, for as I looked down, I also felt a cold breeze blow into my room, from who knows where, and I noticed that I was butt naked, but that wasn't the terrifying part. The part that terrified me was the weight on my chest. For laying atop me, being just as naked as I was, was none other there Thalia. "What the f..." I started, before feeling Thalia stir beneath me and choosing to remain quiet, in hopes of not waking her up. But of course, lady Tyche was never one to lean in my favor, and as Thalia sat up and rubbed her eyes, she too seemed to realise our situation.

"Perce..." Thalia said quietly, looking up at me. "What is going on?"

And as I prepared to answer Thalia, I looked towards the far wall, and noticed a crack forming in it.

"Perce?" Thalia asked again. Before noticing where I was looking.

And as she turned to the wall, a giant hole appeared, and staring through the hole at us, was a very strange sight. A man, probably around nineteen, sitting in a chair, with a keyboard off to the side, and just staring at us.

"Um.." I said, trying to process everything going on. "Hi." I continued, waving, and only to be met by a cheshire grin and a cold gleam appearing in his brown eyes. "Who are you?"

"Me?" He asked, grinning wider. "Why, I am the maker of this.." He started, before being cut off by a sound.

"What is that sound?" I asked, before noticing the hole was slowly being filled up by an assortment of items. "What is happening?"

"No!" the man yelled, "You fates can't stop me! I shall speak with him if I want!" the man bellowed, before the holed sealed itself with what looked like duct tape, bricks, rubber ducks, and much more.

"Ok then." I said, turning to Thalia, and being met with a right hook to the jaw. And then I woke up.

'What the?' I thought to myself, looking around my room again, 'am I actually awake now?' I asked myself, before attempting to move my arms, but again finding a random weight on my chest. "Oh no." I said out loud, before looking down, and suddenly became both confused, and slightly relieved.

For as I looked down, I found that for one, I was dressed, and Thalia, which was the weight on my chest, was also dressed. But as I stared down as one of my best friends, I couldn't help but wonder how she ended up on my chest, when she had been laying on my bed, and I was on an air mattress. And as I continued to think of this problem, I was broken out of my thoughts, by a quickly flash of light appearing near my door, before my father appeared before me

"Percy!" my father exclaimed, seeming to bubble with excitement. "I have good n..." he started, before noticing mine and Thalia's position. "Oh.. um.." He said, shifting awkwardly, and gaining a slightly golden look to his face. "I will just wait in the living room." he said, before quickly leaving my room.

As I processed everything that happened, I was again interrupted by another deity flashing into my room

"Perseus!" Hecate called out, "I realized that I forgot one thing for you and Thalia!" She said, before she too noticed mine and Thalia's position, and much like my father she grew uncomfortable and quickly left the room, saying she would be in the living room. And as I sat there, trying to think of the situation I found myself in, I also found myself playing with Thalia's spiky hair, before losing myself to my thoughts as I waited for her to wake up.

*Twenty Minutes Later*

"Ugh." Thalia groaned, slowly sitting up. "I just had the weirdest dream, me and you were.." She stopped, taking in our current position. "Sleeping together..." she finished awkwardly. "What happened?" she asked, giving me her signature glare, though it was weakened by the confusion in her eyes.

"I was gonna ask you that." I said. "I woke up to you on my chest." I continued, chuckling at how confused Thalia was, before remembering my own confusion.

"Oh crap." Thalia said, quickly standing up. "I forgot!"

"Forgot what?" I asked, standing up as well, and starting to put the air mattress away.

"I kind of sleep walk, and sometimes, if it gets cold, I cuddle with my pillows, but." She paused, gesturing to the single pillow on my bed, which would have been the one she was laying on, and therefore she couldn't cuddle. "I think, when I couldn't find another pillow, that I must have started to sleepwalk in search of something, and well.. You probably know the rest." She finished awkwardly.

"Oh, ok." I said, trying to find a way to break the awkward silence that was falling. "Oh!" I exclaimed, suddenly remembering our visitors. "Hecate and my dad are here!"

"What?!?" Thalia exclaimed, "Where?"

"In the living room." I said, before having my hand grabbed by Thalia, and being dragged into the living room.

Upon entering the living room, me and Thalia were met with the still slightly golden faces of my dad and Hecate, probably having their thoughts wander for the last twenty minutes on what could have happened last night.

"Ah Perseus, Thalia." Hecate said, standing up quickly. "You are here, perfect. I will make this quick, I forgot something yesterday, when I talked to you two about your family."

"What did you forget?" Thalia asked

"Why I forgot to give you the knowledge of that world!" Hecate exclaimed, before chanting in what I can only assume to be the language of the titans, and I was then assaulted by an endless stream of knowledge, and I couldn't help but grasp my head in pain and irritation.

"Ugh!" I gasped, "what was that?"

"A blessing of sorts, I gave you all the currently known and unknown knowledge of the wizarding world." Hecate said, ignoring my father's surprise as hearing that we were part of the wizard world.

"So all wizarding knowledge then?" Thalia asked.

"No." Hecate said simply, before disappearing in a quick flash of light and causing me and Thalia to avert our eyes.

"Ok then." Thalia said, holding her head, obviously having as hard a time with all the new information as I was. "Now what are you here for, Lord Poseidon?" She asked, looking towards my father.

"Please niece, you are very special to my son, you can just call me uncle, none of that lord crap." my dad said smiling, "as for the reason I am here, well it has to pertain to what me and Percy talked about before his hearing." my dad continued, looking to me as if to ask if he could tell Thalia, and of course receiving a nod from me.

"And what might that be?" Thalia asked.

"Well two things actually, first, Percy, you know how I talked about finding a safer place for your family?" my dad asked

"Of course, I think it would be a wonderful idea." I said smiling, "did Zeus go for it."

"Yes he did, and he is also allowing me to provide some amount of mortal money to your family, should you be able to convince your mother to accept, to keep them well off for generations to come." My dad said smiling, "Now we just need to pick out a house, which can be done whenever, and then I will place the proper protection around it."

"Alright!" I said, excitedly, "Awesome, I will go tell mom now!"

"Hold up son." my dad said, chuckling. "There is more."

"More?" I asked, confused.

"Yes." He said simply, "You know how I increased your powers?"

"Well yeah, I mean I obviously haven't really used them yet, but I know what you mean. Why?" I responded.

"Well, I found a way to increase them even more!" my dad said happily, as if this was the best news in the world. "And before you refuse this isn't negotiable!" my dad said sternly, but still happily.

"Fine." I grumbled, not feeling like I needed any more powers. "What did you find?"

"Well you know how I increased your water control, and earthquake control, and storm control, and gave you the shape shifting abilities, and the abilities to control the temperature and different forms of water?" my dad asked

"No I forgot." I said sarcastically, smirking. And receiving a slight glare from my father and Thalia, before they both rolled their eyes.

"Anyways, I think I can give you more and increase more of your abilities!" He exclaimed

"What abilities?" I asked confused, "you already increased them all."

"Well the first two go together, I got the idea when I visited the cyclops forges." my dad said, emphasizing the cyclops forges for some reason

"Ok." I said slowly

"Well, you know how your brother Tyson is completely immune to fire, and has an inborn talent for forging and crafting?" my dad asked.

"Well yes."

"Well I think to start I can increase your fire immunity to the level of a cyclops!" he continued, seeming to bubble with excitement.

"How? You don't have control over fire?" I asked, become even more confused.

"Yes, but a cyclops is one of my children, and they inherit abilities from me, no matter how deeply buried they are, so I should be able to increase your fire immunity, but I think I can give you the other attributes of a cyclops." my dad said.

"Other attributes?" Thalia asked, "Like having one eye?"

"What?!? No! I mean the natural ability to forge, and their super strength." my dad said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world, "though if he wants one eye, I might be able to make that work.." he continued, mumbling to himself

"Let me stop you there." I said quickly, "I like having two eyes, and how are you able to do that? I mean I know you said they inherit abilities buried deep within, but you aren't a god of the forge or strength."

"Well I don't know exactly." my dad said, "I just know that cyclops are my children and they all have the same abilities, and that I think I know how to give you the same abilities."

"Oh." I said, "Ok. lets get it going then." I continued, wanting to finish up with getting more power, and to go back to sleep.

"Not yet." my dad said, "There is another ability that I can give you at this time."

I couldn't help but groan at the thought of more power. "What ability?"

"I call it the siren's voice." my dad said, sound proud. "You remember your encounter with the sirens and how if you hear their voices then you get drawn in to them?"

"How could I forget? I almost lost Annabeth." I asked, before getting upset, as I remembered what I had been told just yesterday of Annabeth's fate.

"Well" my dad said, coughing awkwardly, "I talked to the river god Achelous, the father of the sirens, and he agreed to lend me a hand in giving you this ability. He said something about owing you for saving the world, again." my father finished, chuckling.

"So how strong are these new abilities?" I asked, shifting uncomfortable at the thought of more power.

"Well the fire immunity is as it sounds, you are completely immune to fire and being injured by it. The forging will get you to a similar level to children of Hephaestus, though you will need to practice, you might someday become as good as your friend Leo, or even your brother Tyson. The super strength is similar to what Heracles poses." my dad started, before I cut him off

"But Tyson doesn't have as much brute strength as the idiot Heracles.. Does he?" I asked

"Well no, but given your inborn strength and power, I am able to increase your strength to a similar level as Heracles. And you might even be able to surpass him, some day. And finally the siren's voice."Again my dad puffed out his chest with pride about the name. "This is comparable to the charmspeak that your friend Piper uses, in that you can use your voice to get people to do what you want, but it is harder to resist then charmspeak, and again, because of your inborn power, yours will surpass Piper in, well, power." my dad finished, smiling like a mad man

"Oh. Ok." I said, trying to process everything.

"Oh and I will transfer information on how to use your abilities and what not, so it will give you enough information on forging to help you out. And this will also increase your height just a little." my dad said, adding the last part quickly, before placing a hand on my shoulder and chanting quickly and transferring the power.

As the power rushed into me I couldn't help but notice how my muscles started to bulge ever so slightly, and how I started to grow. Once the rush stopped, I looked towards my father and Thalia, before noticing the height difference between us.

"How tall did you make me." Staring down and Thalia's 5' 8" form that almost seemed dwarfed by me. Don't get me wrong, I was taller then Thalia before, standing at around 6 feet, but now I towered over her.

My dad smiled excitedly, before summoning a tape measure and checking my height. "Well, it appears that you are about 7 feet in height now!" my dad said, bursting with excitement.

"What! Why am I so tall? I thought you said it would only increase my height by a little!" I exclaimed, but my dad seemed distracted with his excitement.

"Oh and before I leave, Thalia, you are welcome in my domain whenever you wish, and I bless you with slight fire resistance and the ability to breath underwater." my dad said, before again chanting and causing Thalia to glow, and when the glow died "There you go!" my dad said excited, before flashing out.

"Well then." I said, look down towards Thalia "that happened." I finished chuckling, before me and Thalia went on with our day, explaining to my mom and the rest of my family why I was suddenly so much taller, and packing for when we headed back to camp.

Thats the next chapter, sorry it took so long, I was out of town with limited internet and no computer. I hope you all have had a good weekend and hope your days continued to be fun.

Just made a few changes. Nothing major. Just setting up for more ideas later! I will try to have the next update out soon!

Also I must ask, what book of Harry Potter should this take place during. I originally thought Order of the Phoenix, but I figured I would ask all of your for input, and just a few more chapters till we see the wizarding world!
