Percy
I woke up with Annabeth by my side. It was the first full night of sleep I had had ever since the war. I only sleep like that when Annabeth is with me to stop the nightmares. We had stayed at Annabeth's place because we had gotten back late and didn't want to wake up my mom. I looked over at the clock and saw it was 10:00. "Annabeth." I said to wake up the sleeping beauty beside me.
"What?" She said with sleep still in her voice. "We are late for school, we slept in... big time."
"What?!?!" She said again "we might as well stay here. There is no point now" "yeah.." Annabeth said falling back asleep.
I tried to go back to sleep but I couldn't, so I got up and started making breakfast. I tried so hard to make pancakes but I failed. As a result I had to ask my mom for help.
"Why aren't you in school?" My mom asked worried.
"Well I got back from camp Jupiter at like 4:00 in the morning so Annabeth and I slept in, so now I'm trying to make pancakes but I think I broke the stove..."
"You need help"
She made sure to bring her special blue food coloring and blueberries. Once we had cleaned up Annabeth's kitchen and opened all the windows (turns out I gassed the stove, not break it) we made a new batch of thick, fluffy double blueberry pancakes.
When we finished the last pancake Annabeth walked in wearing one of my t-shirts, I then realized that I wasn't wearing one at all.
"So that's what I smelled." she said with a smile "hey sally"
"Morning, Annabeth"
"Well it won't be morning for much longer" I said getting butter and syrup.
We all ate and talked about Annabeth and my trip to camp Jupiter.
"I think I'll make a call to the school to excuse you two" my mother said as she finished her pancakes.
"I totally forgot about that."
"It's okay. I'll say that we took a vacation and you both contracted the flu" she left to make the call.
As soon as I closed the door behind my mother, I was tackled to the floor. We laughed and when I asked Annabeth why, she replied, "We never get days off, I want to spend time with you." she said right before kissing me. We stood up and after we broke apart I picked her up and put her on the couch. We ended up watching Disney movies and horror movies all day. I thought it was cute how her grip on me would tighten when something scary would occur. After we watched a few movies we began to just tune out (and then make out). I thought of no better way to spend the day.
