Part 4
Ace’s mouth dropped at the mention he had no idea what to say. “Kokoro- don’t you think that’s uncalled for?” He asked looking at her more surprised than anything else
Hawks had enough and grabbed her arm once again. " That was the last drop. We're going home. After we discuss about this, we will see if that movie night happens. Don't make me raise my hand at you. " He said in a cold tone, definitely angry this time.
She pulled her arm away. "im not going anywhere with you! Im not a child!" she yelled in his face "wait till i get home its fucking simple!"
Ace stayed quiet, not sure how to calm the situation down. Usually he would say an icebreaker, or something ironic about the situation but nothing came to mind. He just looked at the two and watched them
He slapped her face , not out of reaction but , because he wanted her to understand that he was in charge. " Don't make me do it again. And watch your mouth because I'm not your fucking friend. " He said coldly.
She stumbled back slightly before growing silent eyes brimming with tears almost instantly. A red hand print now left on her cheek. She looked down at the ground quitely. Her eyes changing back to normal.....As they had been purple before.
“Hey don’t you think that was uncalled for? You shouldn’t slap her because she has a mouth on her,” ace said angrily going to Kokoro and hugging her tightly. “I understand you were frustrated but you really think raising a hand to your child is required?”
Hawks glared at him. " If you don't let go of her now, you'll see me like you haven't seen me already. " He growled, reaching for his larger feathers. " When I say we need to go home, you'll listen. Don't make me seem like I didn't teach you manners. " He turned to his daughter again.
She stayed silent knodding before walking over to her father still in shock from the slap. She didn't udder a word.
Ace sighed and scroffed at hawks. “At least I don’t hit her,” he said turning his back he reached his pinkie toward Kokoro brushing it up against here for a moment. His quirk allowed him to send her messages in her head “I’ll text you, let me know what happens okay?” He said to her
He held her close, looking away. " We'll talk home, not now. Let's go. " He said in a gentle tone, his face cold and emotionless. The hero glared at the other male, clearly triggered. " Don't say words where they don't belong. Just an advice. "
She knodded. Leaving a small ok in the shadows to respond to ace. Kokoro let her father pull her along. Her wings folding behind her back.
“Just trying to protect her from getting hurt. Something you aren’t doing.” He said sternly walking away from them. He just hoped Kokoro would be okay
Hawks would have attacked him since his words were triggering but, he ignored him, For the sake of his daughter, before walking away. He walked them home, letting her get in first.
She hadnt muttered a word since he hit her. She walked into the house taking her shoes off putting them on the shoe shelf.
He walked in as well, not even bothering to change , waiting for his daughter to finish.
When she did. She sat on the couch silently. The red mark still on her cheek.
Hawks sat next to his daughter, examining her carefully before slowly pulling her into his arms.
