Teen Beach OC

"Just keep teasin', Struts," Chee Chee said, glancing at herself in the mirror.

As the girls chatted about how high Chee Chee's hair was going to go, Kat sidled over next to Mack. She kept her voice low as she whispered, "Have you figured out how to get out of this movie?"

Mack's eyes flashed as she glanced around. "No. Brady and I haven't. Where were you the whole time we were stuck in a song with Lela and Tanner?"

Kat grinned sheepishly. "I was showing the biker's that I can ride a motorcycle. They didn't believe me."

"Kat!" Mack hissed. "We don't want to become friends with these people. They are characters in a movie!"

"I know," Kat snapped. "I'm sorry."

Kat ran a hand through her blonde hair as Lela stepped out into the bedroom. She was holding a blue dress with white polka dots, pressing it up against her body.

"Should I wear this to see Brady?" Lela asked, looking around at all the girls. "He loves to surf, and the water's blue, and this dress is blue . . ." She trailed off before saying, "So the next time he goes surfing, he'll see the blue water, and he'll think of me."

"Oh, my gosh, I love it," Struts gushed.

Mack, however, looked ready to knock some sense into the girls. Kat reached out to hold her back, but she was already speaking.

"Why should a boy influence what you choose to wear?" she asked, shaking her head. "Or anything you do?"

Chee Chee's hair was a mess, but that didn't stop her from speaking. "Simple. A girl will look at your dress. A boy will look at how you look in your dress."

"What's the matter with lettin' a boy be in control of things?" Struts asked, and Chee Chee giggled.

"It's your life," Kat answered. "You can decide what to do."

As the girls explained why they allow boys to decide their life, Kat rolled her eyes. She couldn't believe these girls were so submissive to boys. Most of her friends were boys! They were just like females.

"We can do anything a guy can do," Mack said, resting her elbows on her knees.

"I don't know where you're from," Lela said slowly, looking at both Kat and Mack, "but around here, we have to ask a boy without asking him." She held her dress up, covering everything on her face besides her eyes. "You know. Like, with your eyes."

Lela batted her eyes toward the two girls, and Mack giggled. Kat let the smile break through her face, but she wasn't happy.

She stood up, but before she could leave, Mack grabbed her arm. "Where are you going?" she whispered.

"I gotta get out of here," Kat answered simply. "Too much girly things, you know?"

Mack sighed and said, "Don't go to far. I don't want to lose you."

"I won't," Kat replied, rolling her green eyes. "I'll probably look for Brady or something."

"Okay. See you later."

Kat walked out of the bedroom and sighed in relief. Those girls were literally going to be the death of her. She hated how they acted around boys.

The sand was cool on her bare feet. It was so peaceful without all the people fighting and running around. The sun was just setting and it glinted in the water. Kat slowed to a stop and ran a hand through the water. It was cold, sending a shiver down her spine. It felt as real as the waves she caught earlier in the day with Brady and Mack in their time.

A noise hit her ears, and she frowned. It sounded like the beginning notes to a song. And it was coming from Big Momma's Diner.

Kat took off running and peered into the windows. Brady was dancing next to Tanner as the lyrics spilled out of his mouth. "Let 'em breathe," he sang. "Chill out and go with the flow."

Kat was very surprised that Brady had a good singing voice. Usually he joked around and sang off key. But she shook her head. What in the world was he doing? Why was he singing with the other boys?

She dug her feet into the sand and ran back to where the girls were. She hoped they were still chatting about boys. But the notes of the song floated out of the windows, dashing her dreams.

"Mack," she said, running into the middle of the girls dancing. Mack was in the center, singing, "Take a chance. Why not ask him on a date?"

Kat's eyes widened as Mack grabbed Lela by the arms before turning to the other girls. She didn't know why Mack was singing. Mack hated when the characters randomly burst into song. The girls were literally arguing how they knew what boys liked in a song. In a song, for crying out loud!

"Stop!" Kat said, trying to grab Mack's hands. But she was tugged away as half of the girls started dressing her up. The other half smiled as they walked toward Kat. "Get away from me," she said, holding her arms out. "I know karate."

The girls dodged her flying hands and pulled Kat toward a mirror. They had somehow added rollers to her hair. One girl held out some pants and another held a shirt in front of her body. They decided against that outfit and threw it on the bed.

Kat glanced at Mack to see her pushing the clothes away, singing, "I like it loose."

Somehow a stage with three microphones rose out of the floor and girls were singing there. Kat went flabbergasted. Is this what really happened in the movie? Because it was ridiculous. They were absolutely insane.

"Hey!" Kat shouted as they started pulling her nightgown off. They were like rabid animals, throwing something pink over her head. She tried to push them away, but there too many of them. "Stop!"

They all stepped away from her and she glanced down. She yelped as she saw the pink dress adorning her body. A mirror was shoved in her face, and the makeup highlighted her green eyes. She growled as Mack giggled.

"You look great, Kat," Mack said.

Kat turned to see all leather on her. A red flower was situated in her hair.

"I am going to kill you all," Kat growled.

"I think you look beautiful!" Lela said brightly. "So do you, Mack."

Kat couldn't wait to get out of that dress. She couldn't wait to get out of the movie. She didn't know how much longer she could survive.
