13. Totally Not A Couple
// Castiel's POV
"I quit."
"Castiel you can't just quit! We have two more competitions ahead of us! Not to mention the mini competition held in a few hours."
"Then just scratch me off the list! I fucking quit! Nothing good has come out of me being on this team at all!"
"So what? You're backing out on our deal? I thought you were doing this for Dean."
"Yeah well I fucking found out I ruined his life so do whatever the fuck you want to him!"
They'd been going back and forth about this for a while. Castiel had just barged in and starting saying all this to Crowley.
"Castiel, Abbadon will hurt him. Listen, I know you're angry. But I know Dean. He just says things because his emotions get the best of him. Because he's so scared to lose you he'd rather push you away than lose you to a team like us." Crowley insisted.
Castiel clenched his jaw and looked down at the floor.
"Do I have to do that mini competition?" He quietly asked.
"Yes Castiel. We insist that you do."
Castiel nodded and left the room.
There wasn't much left to argue with.
He didn't want Dean getting hurt.
Maybe Dean hated Castiel right down to the core. And maybe Castiel did ruin Dean's life but he never meant to! And he certainly didn't hate Dean.
If anything...he loved him even more than before.
But he wanted Dean to be happy.
And if that meant staying away from him for the rest of his life, then fine.
Sure, Castiel would be the heartbroken one in the end but at least Dean would be happy.
M E M O R Y L A N E :D Back in the dorm
"Dean! Just get in the shower!" Castiel commanded.
Dean just laughed and stumbled against a wall.
"But Caaaas I'm having fun." He slurred as he reached out and messed with Cas' hair.
"Dean please-- "
"You're beautiful."
"You're drunk." Cas bitch faced. Still, inside he was a tomato from all the blushing after that comment.
Dean smiled a soft smile and stared at Castiel.
Castiel was turning on the water in the shower and grabbing towels and stuff.
"Come on. Get in." Cas said again for the millionth time.
"I mean it."
Castiel looked at him in confusion.
"Mean what?"
Dean shook his head and hiccuped before beginning to remove his jacket.
"You gonn watch?" Dean slurred, smirking.
Castiel flushed red and shook his head frantically.
"N-no! I'll just-- uh...shout if you need anything." Cas sighed.
"Ye I'll shout y-- " Dean began before his cheeks puffed up and he covered his mouth.
He quickly bent over by the toilet and threw up inside.
"Dean? Oh. Oh god. Oh no." Cas groaned and knelt next to him.
Dean coughed and threw up even more. Little buds of tears formed in his eyes from the feel of acid in his throat.
"Shh...it's okay...just let it all out." Cas whispered, rubbing circles into his back, gagging a little from the smell.
After that scenario, Dean sat up and sat against the bathtub.
Castiel closed the lid and flushed the toilet.
"Now will you get in the shower?" He asked.
Dean nodded and climbed inside, clothes and all.
"Dean! No! Take your close off."
Dean groaned and took his shirt, shoes, socks, and jeans off, leaving himself only in boxers before climbing back inside the tub.
"W-why's it sooo coold?" He asked, shivering.
"It helps."
Dean sat in a corner of the tub and leaned his head against the wall.
"I'm sleepy..." he mumbled.
Castiel looked over at him. The way the water ran down his body, through creases and perfections. The way Dean's eyes were closed.
Castiel stood up and moved the shower head so it hit Dean's face.
"SON OF A-- god dammit Cas! I was like in dream land!" Dean shrieked. "Cheerleaders, man."
Cas laughed and shook his head.
"Just stay in there for a bit. You might as well shower while you're in here." He suggested.
"But I'm tooo lazzzzeh!" Dean whined.
"Fine. Sit up."
"What?"
"Sit. Up."
"Why?"
"I'm gonna fecking wash your hair, assbutt."
"Oh...okay."
Dean sat up with his back facing Cas and leaned against the wall of the tub.
Castiel rolled up the sleeves of his sweater, reached for the shampoo and lathered a decent amount onto his hands.
He mixed the soap on his hands with water and lathered it into Dean's hair.
He massaged his fingers into Dean's scalp and hummed quietly to himself.
Dean sighed contently and closed his eyes.
Of course, the little moment didn't last long when Dean grabbed the shampoo and squirted a ton into the tub of water, causing bubbles to form.
"MWAHAHAHAHAHA!" He yelled, splashing his hands around and making bubble towers.
"Dean! Stay still!" Cas laughed, as Dean slid around.
"NEVER!"
Water was splashed around and Cas was soon drenched.
"God damn it, Winchester." He cursed, wiping his hands and face off with a towel.
Dean laughed and sat still again, waiting patiently for Cas to finish.
Cas sighed and continued to wash Dean's hair.
"I start to be sleepy..." Dean mumbled.
"After that scenario? Wow. Well, you can't fall asleep here." Cas laughed.
Dean hiccuped and stared at the bubbles floating slowly atop the cold water. It didn't bother him as much anymore, but he still shivered slightly from time to time.
There was silence between the two.
Dean's eyes were drooping slightly and he still felt sick-- but really tired. Also there was the fact that he just needed to say something to break the silence.
And with Cas in the room, washing Dean's hair for him, made him want to just spill his feelings for him.
Don't do it Dean...what if he freaks out?! Wait, I'm drunk, so what the hell, right?
"Hey, Cas?" Dean asked, trying to keep his eyes open.
"Hmm?" Cas replied, finishing rubbing the soap into Dean's scalp.
Dean opened his mouth to say something. Anything! But he had stayed quiet for just a bit too long.
What would happen if he actually told Cas how he felt? He was still pretty confused about it himself but he just needed to get it off his chest.
But...what if it wasn't love? And what if Cas actually loved him back? If it wasn't love, he would be giving Cas false hope-- and if it was-- Dean was still unsure.
"Dean?" Cas asked.
"What?"
"You were going to say something?" Cas asked, tensing a bit.
"Oh yeah..." Dean thought for a moment. Not sure what to do.
I love you...
"Thanks." Was what came out instead.
"Thanks? For what?" Cas sighed, relaxing.
"For-- " awkward hiccup. "Everything. You is a good helper." Dean laughed.
Cas smiled and pushed Dean's head under the shower head, causing the Winchester to yell out in shock.
"You're welcome." Cas smiled widely as he rinsed the soap out of Dean's hair. "That was almost as awkward and disappointing as 'You fight good.' in Mulan."
Dean bit his lip and mentally slapped himself.
There goes one more opportunity thrown out the window.
+*+*+
Dean curled up in his blankets and sighed contently.
Cas was still fixing things up and didn't get into his own bed until later.
"My head hurts." Dean mumbled.
"It'll be worse in the morning." Cas said. "Here, drink this."
Dean turned around and sat up, taking the glass of water Cas offered him.
"Thanks, Cas." Dean smiled, setting it on the desk next to his bed.
"You're welcome, Dean." Cas said finally climbing into his own bed and turning off the lamp that was left on to provide some light.
"Night, Cas..." Dean yawned his eyes becoming heavy.
"Good night, D-- " Cas began to reply but was interrupted by three little words that kept him awake for the rest of the night.
"I love you..."
Cas' eyes widened. He turned over to Dean's bed quickly, only to find Dean passed out and already snoring.
+*+*+
"Fuuuuuuuck!" Dean groaned, grasping his head in pain.
"Oh, you're awake." Cas smiled, stepping out of the small bathroom in their dorm.
"Caaaas my head!" Dean whined.
Castiel laughed and looked through the cupboards and pulled out some aspirin and handed it to Dean with a glass of water.
"Jesus, fuck. Thanks man."
Cas grunted in response and looked for something to eat.
"What happened last night?" Dean asked, squinting his eyes from the light breaking into the room.
Castiel slowly pulled out two slices of bread and sliding them into the toaster, watching them disappear as he pressed down the lever.
"What...what do you remember?" Cas asked, curiously, leaning against the counter, looking at Dean.
Dean placed the palm of his hand against his forehead and battled with the massive headache that was growing.
"Uh-- not much...just this chick-- and me fucking around in here...then just kinda black." Dean said slowly, as if he was choosing his words. He pulled his hand away from his head, looking at anything but Cas.
Castiel bit the inside if his cheek and looked down at the floor, nodding slowly.
There was silence between the two. What broke it startled them both. The toasting of the bread had finished with a 'pop' sound and Cas quickly turned around to grab them out of the toaster.
About five seconds later, Dean ran into the bathroom and starting puking into the toilet again.
Castiel looked at the two pieces of toast on his plate and sighed.
"He doesn't remember. Okay, this could be good. He'll never have to worry about our friendship being ruined-- I wont have to worry about that." Cas mumbled to himself. "I mean, he was drunk."
Dean groaned from the bathroom and soon the faucet was heard.
Castiel laughed and poked the toast.
"You should've seen yourself Dean. You had just come home from a party and I was studying. You were all drunk-- I don't even know how you got back here. But you threw up and stuff."
"Ughh I fucking hate hangovers."
Castiel was quiet for a moment before thinking of something to piss Dean off.
"OH SAY CAN YOU SEE?! BY THE DAWNS EARLY LIGHT?! WHAT SO PROUDLY WE HAILED, AT THE TWILIGHTS LAST GLEAMING!" Cas sang obnoxiously loud and in a high pitched voiced.
Dean groaned and mumbled "I hate you."
Cas laughed louder but settled down after a while.
Last night didn't mean anything.
Dean was drunk and he didn't remember.
Still, it was the first time Dean had said that to him. The first time either one of them spilled feelings for the other.
"No you don't." Cas laughed.
Dean laughed, his throat hoarse, and glanced at Cas once, a small smile playing on his lips before looking back at the boring white tiles of the bathroom.
"No...I don't."
OKAY WE HAVE COME BACK TO THE PRESENT DAY FIC AND NOT DOWN THE SAD ROAD OF MEMORY LANE. Sorry if you dead.
"So what's going on with you two?" Meg asked, propping her feet on the desk she was sitting at.
Castiel was laying on her bed, sulking about what had happened earlier with Dean.
David had found him bawling his eyes out and had offered to take him back to his hotel room with Matt, who was apparently good at cheering people up but Meg had found them and took Cas with her.
"I don't know anymore, Meg...I suppose, he just really hates me." He said, his eyes brimming with tears again.
"That's bullshit. You of all people should know that's a fucking lie." She snapped.
Castiel sighed and covered his eyes with his arm.
"I don't know Meg...it seemed like he meant it."
"What exactly happened? Why did he say that in the first place?"
Castiel was quiet before he inhaled a shaky breath and spoke.
"We were um...practicing for the activity happening this evening...and well, I was singing and then he was singing with me and he got up and started getting close to me...to close...and I freaked out you know?" Cas said, sitting up and staring at her. "Meg, he tried to kiss me. And I pushed him away because we were in an argument and all of a sudden he tries to make it up by making out with me! And that just wasn't right! So I pushed him away, and he seemed confused. I told him that he needed to stop. He got angry and asked what the hell he should do to make things better."
"What did you tell him?" Meg asked, once Castiel stopped talking.
Cas looked away from her and continued.
"I told him that the right thing to do was talk to me and we could work things out and apologize and well..." He laughed quietly. "I guess he snapped...next thing I know he's yelling and telling me he had never had to apologize to anyone until, and I quote, 'Until a stupid little fallen angel like me decided to show up and ruin his life.' I didn't realize what he said until like a minute later, and I left."
"Did his expression change at all when he said that?"
"I guess. Yeah. He realized what he said and his face just softened. When I was leaving he called after me but I left. That's when David found me and then you." He finished.
Meg was silent for a while. She shook her head and sighed.
"He didn't mean it."
Castiel bit the inside of his cheek and sat up, leaning against the furthest corner of her bed, bringing his knees up to his chest and huffing out in anger.
"I hate everything." He mumbled.
"You're still doing the activity with him?" Meg asked all of a sudden.
"Unfortunately, yes."
There was silence before the sound of a door opening and slamming shut was heard.
Cas looked back to an empty room.
He sighed and got out of Meg's bed, ready to leave when Ruby literally spun inside and dropped herself on her bed, sighing happily.
"What's with you?" Cas asked, pulling back on his sweater.
"I kissed him." She said, casually.
"Congratulations! I'm sure you're very proud of-- wait. Kissed who? Ruby, who did you kiss?!" Cas asked, frantically.
"Sam, obviously."
Castiel was tackling her in under a second.
"Ruby! What the actual fuck! Do you not understand that Sam has a boyfriend?! Who happens to be my brother. HE'S NOT INTERESTED!" Cas yelled at her.
Ruby just laughed and rolled her eyes.
"Not interested, hm? Go ask him yourself." And she rolled from under Cas and into the shower.
Castiel quickly ran out of the room and went on the search for Sam.
+++++
Castiel found Sam in his hotel room, with Gabriel.
"Sam. I need to speak with you." Cas said, once they opened the door for him.
"Um okay, sure." Sam smiled.
"Alone." Castiel continued, glancing at Gabriel.
"Oh. Okay, right, I'll just hang down at the lobby or something." Gabriel sighed and walked out of the room sadly, munching on some Pocky.
Castiel closed the door and glared at Sam.
"So, what'd you need to talk to me about?" Sam asked, a tad bit nervously.
"Sam fucking Winchester. How could you?" Cas hissed.
"What? How could I what?" Sam asked.
"You know damn well what. After everything my brother's done for you. You throw it all away for some skank?!"
"Okay, listen Cas, I don't know what you're talking about!"
"You don't?! Huh?! You have no idea what I'm talking about?! How about the fact you go and kiss Ruby?!" Cas yelled.
Sam's eyes widened.
"Cas, listen. I- I didn't kiss her."
"Bullshit."
"I didn't! We were talking! We were just talking and she kept flirting with me but I pushed it aside and then the next thing I know she's kissing me! I didn't have time to react."
And then Cas' jaw was punching Sam in the jaw, sending him back.
"Didn't have time to react?! Fucking crap! You let her kiss you. You probably even kissed back! You fucking assbutt!" Cas spat before running for the door and opening it, ready to leave and finished murdering Ruby.
When the door opened they found something Sam wished wasn't there.
Gabriel was standing there, mouth and eyes wide and a Pocky box on the floor, some of the biscuits outside their package.
"Gabriel..." Cas started.
Gabe's bottom lip quivered and he glanced at Sam.
"Gabe, I can explain." Sam said, walking towards him.
"You're so full of shit." Gabriel whispered, shaking his head before running off, too far for Sam to catch up, even if he called for him.
"You see what you've done Sam?" Cas asked. "That's my fucking brother. You better fucking fix this."
Sam bit his bottom lip and apologized before running after Gabriel.
+++++
// Gabriel's POV
Gabriel ran as fast as he could-- obviously not fast enough against the abnormally tall moose but he still ran.
Gabriel ran down the stairs quickly and sat in a dark corner under them.
((Our poor bby Gabe is very very upset guys.))
"Gabriel!" Sam yelled, running down the stairs quickly.
Gabriel scooted further below the stairs and tried to hide himself.
Sam came down the stairs and looked around, trying to find out where Gabriel could've gotten to.
Then Gabriel saw his feet facing towards him before Sam knelt down and smiled sadly at him.
"Hey, Gabriel."
Don't fucking 'hey Gabriel' me, bitch!
Gabriel scooted away from him, his eyes drowning in tears.
"Gabriel...please...let me explain."
Gabriel gritted his teeth and brought his knees up to his chest, burring his face between them.
He stayed quiet. He knew Sam was waiting for some response but Gabriel didn't have any. Sam eventually crawled under the stairs with him-- even if it was a tight fit.
"I was looking for you. You know, I thought I'd take you out somewhere to relax because we've been handling a lot of crap lately and I bumped into Ruby on the way to our room and somehow we ended up talking about different teams and then she just kept complimenting me and next thing I know she's kissing me and t-- "
"...did you kiss back?" Gabriel murmured.
"W-what?"
"Did you kiss her back?" Gabriel asked, his eyes practically boring into Sam's soul. His eyes were red and puffy, as well as his cheeks.
"I-- listen I-- "
"Sam...tell me the truth." Gabriel pleaded.
Sam bit his bottom lip and looked down at the ground before looking back up at his boyfriend with the puppy look that just gets everyone week in the knees.
Gabriel knew that look and his heart dropped. He knew Sam's answer.
And the pain became worse when Sam slowly nodded.
"Yes. I did. But i-it was just for a second before I realized and pushed her away! I swear!"
Gabriel clenched his fist and buried his face between his knees.
"Go away."
"Gabriel please...I'm sorry."
"Go away!" He yelled.
Sam's eyes widened...but he got up and left, mumbling sorry over and over, his own eyes in tears.
Gabriel waited a few minutes before crying harder. He cried loudly and furiously wiped at his eyes.
He wished he hadn't heard the conversation between Sam and Castiel.
He wished Ruby never showed up and manipulated his boyfriend.
He wished the Hell Hounds never showed up.
+++++ I'm about to salt and burn your already broken hearts
// Castiel's POV
Castiel ran his hands through his hair and walked out, heading towards his own room for extra clothes or something-- even a shower maybe.
When Cas arrived at his room and walked inside, he regretted everything.
Every little thing he had done for Dean Winchester.
He regretted falling in love with him, because what he was witnessing, was to painful.
Dean was sitting up on his bed with Lisa Braden on top of him, kissing him roughly.
Castiel's eyes were brimming with tears.
What was it with these stupid Hell Hound chicks and stealing Winchesters?!
"Li-- Lisa stop." Dean said, pushing her away.
"Dean, what's wrong?" She asked.
"I can't-- I can't do this with you. You shouldn't have to go through a shitty person as me. I can't give you what you want because..." he sighed, "I'm in love with-- Cas?!"
Castiel sucked in his breath at being discovered-- well, he was sorta just standing there at the doorway.
Lisa looked up and rolled her eyes at her teammate.
"What do you want?!" She hissed.
"S-sorry! I-- was just here for some clothes-- I didn't...I didn't mean to...oh god." Castiel sniffled and rubbed his eyes.
He quickly ran to his drawer and grabbed clothes before running back to the door, Dean was standing and trying to stop him.
"Cas, wait."
He had managed to grab his arm and held him back.
"Dean...let me go." Cas said, his grip tightening on the doorknob.
"Cas, listen to me...we need to talk."
"Let go of me!" Cas yelled, trying to pull away. "Please...just let me go."
Castiel looked up at Dean with soft, teary eyes which made Dean give in and let him go.
Castiel sniffed and quickly ran out.
He made his way down to the lobby and sat at the cafe.
Castiel wished the Hell Hounds never showed up at the college.
Castiel wished he had never fallen in love with Dean Winchester.
He wished he didn't exist.
"Hey, Cas! Have you seen where I left the toilet paper?" Chuck asked, walking up to him, a wide smile plastered on his face. But that smile was washed away when he saw Castiel's expression.
"Cas...? You okay?"
Castiel took in a deep breath and looked at anything but his friend before whispering the biggest lie he had ever said.
"I'm fine..."
+++++
"Hello? Um-- hello-- testing, testing. Johnlock, Destiel, Sabriel, Michifer, Mormor, Mystrade TESTING! IS THIS GODDAMN MICROPHONE WORKING OR NAH?! It's not? Okay, I will wait...hmm...I'm walking on sunshine, ohh. Doo wee ooo...is it working now? Can thou hear my voice? You can? Okay! Ahem, 'SUP BITCHES?! I'm Charlie Bradbury, and I'm the host of this mini competition and the new manager for our lovely Treble Makers! I can now witness all the gay-- I MEAN WAAAAT?! Ehehe. Sorry. Anyways, let's get on with our rules, shall we?" The redhead smiled widely.
"This is a two person effort so you'll be working with your roommate! We will play the instrumental version of a song and you must sing it, obviously. And-- wait what's that?" She said, pressing her hand against her earpiece, listening closely. "Oh. Oh dear. This should be very very interesting." She smirked.
Everyone in the crowd looked at her in confusion.
"Change of plans folks! You're still working with your roommate but against each other! Wow how fun! Such gay! Much feels! So the goal now I suppose is to sing better than the other or make them so emotional all you have to do is comfort each other and hgnnnnnn-- Becky this is ridiculous. Okay whatever. Guys, just have fun and don't murder each other." She smiled. "The game is on!"
((For the sake of this story, and how long this chapter is, I'm only really focusing on Dean and Cas. I will have Sabriel and Michifer sing one song just to show you the gist of it but for extra feels, there will be more for Destiel))
For the Trebles, Gabriel and Sam were the first to go, seeing as they're the leaders.
There were a lot of angsty songs between the two and Gabriel wouldn't even look at Sam, like at all, and when he did, it was just death glares all 'round.
Charlie observed everything happening. She took it all in and decided what song to play next.
After a moment of silence after Gabriel's quite angry singing of I Hate Everything About You by Three Days Grace, Charlie clicked another button and a there was a soft faint tune and a voice was whispering.
You're whole lotta crazy
I think you like it too
But let me tell you baby
I'm so crazy for...
After that, a quite upbeat tune began to play and Sam filed through all the music files in his head, trying to find out what song this was.
Once he found it in one of his hidden away files he quickly gathered the memory of the lyrics and sighed.
"Okay, this will totally sound like it's a song about drugs and it probably is but it's for Gabriel at this moment. Hell, I guess you could say that you're my drug." Sam smiled before singing.
"There's something bout the bright lights
You find them on the right nights
Forces you just can't fight
You're trouble but it's alright
Take control, please own me
Only love can save me..."
Gabriel kinda stood there awkwardly, trying his best not to look at Sam.
"You're whole lotta crazy
I think you like it too
But let me tell you baby,
I'm so crazy for you
So lose your mind, you psycho
I think I like it too,
I gotta tell you baby
I'm so crazy for you!"
Sam slowly walked up to Gabriel and smiled softly, dancing along with the upbeat tune, trying to get Gabe to dance with him.
Charlie sat in her seat, her eyes narrow, waiting patiently for her plan to work.
"So crazy, oh
So crazy, ooh
So crazy baby, I'm so crazy for you." Sam smiled, poking Gabriel's nose.
"That's some good shit,
That's some good shit,
That's some good shit,"
((This is so about drugs. OH WELL EHUEHUEHU))
"Upper class corruption,
Stone cold seduction...
It's that I just can't get enough of
Your freak show keeps me coming
Take control, please own me, only love can save me.
You're whole lotta crazy
I think you like it too
But let me tell you baby
I'm so crazy for you
So lose your mind, you psycho
I think I like it too
I gotta tell you baby,
I'm so crazy for you!"
Sam had managed to get Gabriel dancing and laughing again before Charlie squealed and stopped the music.
Everyone was quiet, waiting patiently for something to happen, for anything to happen.
Sam was holding Gabriel's hand in both of his.
"Don't you ever think I would love someone else when I have you. Got that? I love you and nothing can change that. No one will take me away from you. I am so sorry for what happened. I regret ever letting her get that close to me because I thought she wasn't going to do anything like that! I love you Gabriel..." Sam said, smiling softly before kissing Gabriel's hand.
Gabriel's eyes were once again drowning in tears.
He stood on his toes and pulled Sam down so he was at a reachable height and kissed him.
Sam smiled and wrapped his arms around his lovers waist.
Everyone clapped and cheered as Ruby rolled her eyes and reluctantly clapped, Lisa shaking her head at the sight and eyeing Charlie, thinking hat she could do something to Dean as well.
"YES! MISSION A: COMPLETE!" Charlie yelled. "I knew you two couldn't go fighting for that long."
Gabriel pulled away and thanked Charlie before kissing Sam again before walking off with him, hand in hand.
"Okay, now wasn't that an adorable performance? Great! Next up we have our Time Lords, Rose and Donna sing for us! Everyone give them a good cheer!"
+++++
After the Time Lords performed, Meg and Ruby went up there and sang and Charlie gave them a lot of angry music so Meg could tear at Ruby's throat. And Charlie intently stared at Meg.
After the Hell Hounds and more Time Lords, Charlie called up Lucifer and Michael.
They sang their share of lovey and angsty songs when Charlie clicked another song and a set of drums began to play, awaiting for Michael to sing.
"The mirror's image
Tells me it's home time
But I'm not finished
'Cause you're not by my side
And as I arrived I thought I saw you leaving,
Carrying your shoes
Decided that once again I was just dreaming
Of bumping into you..."
Lucifer groaned and rolled his eyes, mumbling "I'm not high, Michael."
"Now it's three in the morning and I'm trying to change your mind
Left you multiple missed calls and to my message you reply,
'Why'd you only call me when you're high?
Hi, why'd you only call me when you're high?'"
Michael was enjoying this, pointing and questioning Lucifer if he was always high.
"Somewhere darker
Talking the same shite
I need a partner
Well, are you out tonight?
It's harder and harder to get you to listen
More I get through the gears
Incapable of making alright decisions
And having bad ideas,
Now it's three in the morning,
And I'm trying to change your mind
Left you multiple missed calls and to my message you reply,
'Why'd you only call me when you're high?
Hi, why'd you only call me when you're high?'"
"Wait, that means you're high!" Lucifer said.
"W-what?" Michael asked, the music still playing in the background.
"If you called me all those times and I replied asking you why you only called call me when you're high? Which means you're the one who's on drugs! Not me!! Hahaha HAHAHAHAHA!" Lucifer yelled in triumphant.
Michael rolled his eyes and stuck his tongue out at Lucifer.
"Shut your hello hole, Satan!"
Lucifer dramatically gasped for a good ten seconds with his hand atop his heart, in pain.
"I- I don't know what to say!" Lucifer cried, wiping away the fake tears falling from his eyes.
Then a random guitar began playing and Charlie immediately shut it off.
"Sorry! Wrong couple for that song!" She smiled.
Michael's eyes widened and he turned around to face her.
"N-n-no, you don't understand! We-- me and him, we're not-- I'm not-- we are not a couple!" He insisted.
Then out of no where Lucifer somehow was standing right next to Michael, arm wrapped around his waist and pulling him closely to his side, stroking his face with his free hand.
"Shh, just let things happen." Lucifer whispered. "Besides, why aren't we a couple? Michael! Why have you not asked me to be your truthfully dated boyfriend?"
Michael rolled his eyes, scoffing.
"Me? You're the one who's always being flirty! Why haven't you asked me?"
Lucifer smirked and quickly spun Michael around before dipping him down, holding him by the waist and closing his eyes. Michael was staring at him in confusion, like what the heck, Satan?
"Will you?" Lucifer asked.
"What? Will I what?!" Michael asked, trying to stand straight back up.
"Date me?" Lucifer asked, his eyes opening and staring at Michael with hope.
Michael's eyes widened and he stopped struggling, staring at Lucifer, trying to see if this was just some other false flirtation.
"You're not serious are you?" Michael laughed. "Holy crap you're serious, aren't you?"
Lucifer nodded and bit his bottom lip, "Sorry."
Michael's face broke out into a smile and he wrapped his arms around Lucifer's neck.
"I have waited so long for you to ask me that!" He yelled.
Lucifer stood them back up and smiled widely, hugging Michael in return.
"Of course, I'll be your boyfriend." Michael whispered, and everyone went crazy.
Chairs were thrown, people screamed and cried of happiness, Charlie disappeared and reappeared in the crowd, shaking random people screaming about Michifer.
Michael pulled away from Lucifer, placed his hands on the sides of Lucifer's face and kissed him.
"MISSION B: COMPLETO!" Charlie yelled, somehow back on the stage. "Yeah, totally not a couple."
Lucifer laughed and tightly hugged Michael before giving Charlie a thumbs up and twirling off the stage with his new boyfriend.
"Yet another adorable performance by our extremely gay Trebles. We still have Mission: C to complete! Stay tuned!" Charlie smiled from her seat. "And now, the weather."
+++++
"Okay, that was an awkward one man performance by our Kevin Tran of the Treble Makers. Next up? Well, we have saved the best for last, the guys with the most sexual tension you've ever witnessed! Our beloved, Desti-- er, Dean and Castiel, also from the Treble Makers!" Charlie smiled.
The humans decided now was a good time to clap and cheer for them. Yay.
Castiel reluctantly made his way up to the stage and sighed, running his hands through the red tips of his hair.
Dean was on the stage a few moments after and they waited patiently, standing feet across from each other.
Charlie narrowed her eyes at the situation and scrolled through her music before selecting her first.
"Winchester, you're up!" She yelled and then the music started, a guitar being the only clue for Dean to figure out which song it was.
It took him around ten seconds before he started singing.
"I thought I saw the devil...this morning,
Looking in the mirror, drop of rum on my tongue.
With a warning,
To help me see myself clearer...
I never meant to start a fire,
I never meant to make you bleed...
I'll be a better man today."
Castiel crossed his arms and put his weight on one leg so he was sort of in a sassy pose.
"I'll be good,
I'll be good
And I'll...
Love the world like I should, yeah.
I'll be good,
I'll be good
For all of the times...
that I never could..."
Castiel bit the inside of his cheek and watched as Dean tapped his foot to the sad tune and continued to sing.
((This song just really gives you Dean feels))
"My past has tasted bitter,
For years now.
So I wield an iron fist.
Grace is just weakness,
Or so I've been told,
I've been cold,
I've been merciless...
But the blood on my hands,
Scares me to death,
Maybe I'm waking up...today.
I'll be good
I'll be good,
And I'll, love the world like I should.
I'll be good,
I'll be good...
I'll be good...I'll be good.
For all of the light, that I shut out.
For all of the innocent things that I doubt,
For all of the bruises I've caused and the tears,
For all of the things that I've done...
All these years. "
Dean was going to continue when the song changed and a choir of songs began to sing.
Cas sighed and began to sing.
"This is so random compared to what he just sang."
"I'm an Angel with a shotgun, shotgun, shotgun,
And angel with a shotgun, shotgun, shotgun..."
Castiel uncrossed his arms and swayed his hips.
"Get out your guns, battle's begun,
Are you a saint or a sinner?
If there's a fight, then I shall die,
With my heart on the trigger!
They say, 'Before you start a war, you better know what you're fighting for!'
Well baby, you are all that I adore,
If love is what you need,
A soldier I will be!"
Castiel did his best to smile and sing enthusiastically. Dean just sort of blushed and laughed at it all.
"I'm an angel with a shotgun,
Fighting till the war's done!
I don't care if heaven wont take me back!
I'll throw away my faith babe,
Just to keep you safe.
Don't you know, you're everything I have?
And I, want to live not just survive, tonight."
"HE JUST CALLED YOU BABE, WINCHESTER!" Meg and Chuck yelled from the crowd.
Dean flushed and glared at them.
"Sometimes to win,
You've got to sin,
Don't mean I'm not a believer.
And Major Tom, will sing along,
Yeah they still say I'm a dreamer!
They say, 'Before you start a war, you better know what you're fighting for!'
Well baby, you are all that I adore,
If love is what you need, a soldier I will be!
I'm an Angel with a shotgun, fighting till the war's won!
I don't care if heaven wont take me back!
I'll throw away my faith babe, just to keep you safe!
Don't you know, you're everything I have!
And I...want to live not just survive...tonight."
Castiel danced along to the music for about another few seconds before Charlie changed the song, yet again! MAKE UP YOUR MIND CHARLIE! YOU'RE GIVING US. MORE SEXUAL TENSION!
Dean searched through his file of saddish songs before pulling one out and letting the lyrics roll through his head.
"Shit, I hope I know this whole thing." He mumbled before singing.
"Hold on...what's the rush? What's the rush, we're not done, are we?
Cause I don't need to change this,
Atmosphere we've made if...
You can stay one more hour.
Can you stay one more hour?
You know I'm gonna find a way to let you have your way with me
You know I'm gonna find the time to catch your hand and make you... stay. "
Castiel sighed and sat on the floor, letting Dean dance and sing in front of him.
"Hold on,
I'll be here when it's, all done, you know.
Cause what's the point in chasing, if I can't enjoy your face and,
We can't be wrong tonight,
Can we be wrong tonight?
You know I'm gonna find a way to let you have your way with me
You know I'm gonna find a time to catch your hand and make you stay
I don't care what clothes you wear, it's time to love and I don't care
You know I'm gonna find a way to let you have your way with me."
Dean fell to his knees in front of Cas, for what people call "Dramatic Effect" and sANG HIS PRECIOUS LITTLE HEART OUT!
"And if I was running, you'd be the one who I would be running to
And if I was crying, you would be lining the cloud that would pull me through
And if I was scared, then I would be glad to tell you and walk away
But I am not lying, I am just trying to find my way in to you..."
"OKAY DON'T MAKE ME CRY GUYS!" Charlie yelled before violently pressing a button and changed the song AGAIN. "This is your last song Cassie..."
And then, do you guys know what Charlie did? Well, not Charlie, BECKY.
Becky appeared out of no where and literally threw a fucking guitar at Castiel.
"JUST LIKE YOU'VE BEEN PRACTICING, CASSIE!" She yelled and paused the music.
"What?!-- wait, how do you know that I've been practicing this?!" Cas asked, terrified. "BECKY!"
"EHEHEHE!" She laughed and ran away.
Castiel stood up, the guitar in his hands, positioned it, and began to play.
Dean looked up at him from the floor and waited patiently, wondering what he had been practicing.
"Well, Dean Winchester...this was a song that I had been practicing to sing to you...for a while now...but well, stuff happened and I pretty much gave up. But thanks to Becky and her crazy stalking, I will be playing it for you. Not that it'll change anything...I'm still mad at you and you probably still hate me but, what the hell, huh?" Cas laughed and began to sing.
((Sorry about all the singing! I feel like I'm boring you guys but we still have this one song left for this chapter))
"I watched you walk away today,
I wonder if you thought to stay.
Remember when we stayed up,
Watched the sunrise as it came up,
Painting all the brilliant colors,
We had it all we were the greatest lovers.
Now I'm away from you,
But I won't forget
The little things you do.
I wont forget the little things you do."
Castiel continued to play and scoffed, "I guess this still makes sense with the situation we're going through."
"I found the note that you left for me,
So I open it up, and start to read
It says, "Dear love, I miss you,
I hope you know I won't forget you
Even if we're worlds away,
I'll always be your guy
And that will stay"
All of my love is for you,
I won't forget
The little things you do...
I wont forget the little things you do..."
Dean stood up at level with Castiel-- well, he was now looking down at him but you know. Height differences make things better.
"Remember when we stayed up,
Watched the sunrise as it came up,
Painting all the brilliant skies,
I had it all when you were by my side."
Dean walked closer to Cas and leaned in so their foreheads touched as Cas finished the song.
"I miss you
And all the little things that you do."
Dean placed a hand on Cas' jaw and began to lean in.
"I wont forget the little things you do."
Their lips were millimetres apart, they could feel each others breath on the other's lips.
But neither of them made the final move.
Neither of them closed the space between them.
They just stayed there, eyes closed, wishing that things could be better.
It wasn't until someone in the audience coughed when Castiel moved away and walked off the stage.
Dean opened his eyes and sighed, looking down at the floor.
"Um...that's all we have for tonight guys. We hope you all had fun-- we don't necessarily have prizes or winners...so I suggest you guys get some rest and get ready for your real practicing for the semi-finals in a few days. Goodnight guys." Charlie smiled, gathering her things.
"Fudging popsicles." Becky 'cursed' and stomped back inside.
Everyone slowly made their way back into the hotel and to their rooms, but Dean stayed on that stage for a while.
"Dean? Everyone's going back inside, come on." Sam said.
"Nah. I'm just...gonna stay out here for a while." Dean mumbled.
Sam smiled sadly and walked back inside with Gabriel.
Charlie sighed and walked up to the depressed Winchester.
"Hey...you alright?" She asked, in a hushed tone.
"Y-yeah." Dean sighed, rubbing his face and looking up at her.
"You know what your next move is? Or have you just given up?"
"I don't know, Charlie..." he whispered, his eyes glassy. "I don't know."
"You should apologize!" Meg yelled.
Charlie and Dean turned around and saw her walking towards them.
"Meg, this isn't the time." Charlie started.
"Yes, sweetie, it is." Meg said. "Dean, you really have to apologize."
"I know that! And I've tried, okay? I've tried and nothing's working so I might as well just give up!" Dean yelled.
"He's a sucker for serenades." Meg coughed. "I mean what?"
A huge smiled plastered on Charlie's face and she looked at Dean, expectantly.
"I don't know, guys, hasn't there been too much singing in this chapter?" Dean asked, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Fuck no. This story is so far 7211 words long, 71 pages-- well now more but still, we still have some room for singing." Meg spat.
Dean rolled his eyes and nodded.
"Fine, we gotta figure out what I'm gonna sing first."
Charlie yawned and stretched her arms out above her head.
"I think I've got one-- but we really gotta hit the way-- you can like wake him up with it." She suggested.
"See, someone agrees with me." Dean smirked.
Meg groaned and walked back inside.
"Okay, you weirdos apparently got this, I'm hoping for good results, Winchester. I can't stand seeing my unicorn like that."
"Oh you'll get good results." Dean called after her.
"That's a promise."
*ONHONHONHONHON HELLO THERE!
It has been a while hasn't it?! Ugh finally done with it
It has been so long since I've updated something! And I do greatly apologize for that.
How long was this, like 80something chapters? Hmm, that's crazy long. I'm sorry if I bored any of you guys.
Anywho, I've got school next Monday D: and we must leave my sister off at college this Saturday. I DON'T WANT TO TAKE HER! I'm still in denial about the whole thing. She's like literally the only one I can express gay fics to. Last year sucked ass without her, I had to keep things hidden and I had to be careful when doing anything. *sighs* Oh well...
Btw, when school starts, I'm gonna be a freshman...and I am freaking out. I've been informed that I'm not receiving my schedule until the first day?! That I should be getting my first period in the mail and then I'll work up from there. But I'm really scared guys...if there are like any tips or any advice you could give me, that'd be great, thanks!
So yes, Michifer is canon and Sabriel was brought back together. Maybe Destiel will sail next chapter, hmm? *shrugs*
Be looking forward to my next published chapter of A World Of Invisible Color!! THAT HASNT BEEN UPDATED SINCE MARCH! So I needs to publish something. So look forward to that.
Keep fighting guys!
