I walked outside and saw everyone in a circle. " THERE SHE IS " zion yelled. " and i came with food " i said shaking the bags. I walked up to them and sat down next to nick. We ate the food then 30 minutes later i got a call from my mom. " hey i'll be back " i said getting up. I walked inside and answered.

Evelyn: hello

Mom: get your ass home now

Evelyn: no why should i

Mom: excuse me

Evelyn: i left you a note about where i would be at so why are you calling me

Mom: because u don't get to be out and about when i get home

Evelyn: but isn't that what u did earlier

Mom: what the hell is wrong with u

Evelyn: u know what mom i'm hanging up bye

I hung up my phone and walked outside. " who was it " austin asked. " my mom no one important " i said. " u ok " nick asked. " yea i'm fine " i said smiling.

Hours later

" alright guys i should get going " i said standing up. " so early " brandon said. " b it's 12 am " i said laughing. " plus i'm tired so bye guys " i said grabbing my stuff. " bye love you " tif said. " love you too " i said. I walked inside and ran into nick's mom. " u guys are still here " she asked. " yes but i'm leaving " i said smiling. " ok well thank you for coming over " she said smiling. " oh no thank you for having me over " i said. " you are welcome anytime " she said smiling. I smiled at her then walked out the house. I parked in my driveway and entered my house. " do u know how late it is " my mom said turning on the light. " yes mom i do ok we lost track of time it won't happen again " i said. " sure as hell it won't because your grounded " she said. " FOR WHAT " i yelled. " GOING SOMEWHERE WITHOUT ASKING FOR PERMISSION OR AT LEAST TELLING ME WHERE U WERE GOING " she yelled. " DID U TELL ME WHERE U WERE. I WAS SO EXCITED TO TELL YOU ABOUT MY FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL BUT YOU WEREN'T AROUND AT LEAST I LEFT YOU A LETTER TELLING YOU WHERE I WAS U DIDN'T EVEN SHOOT ME A TEXT " i yelled. " NO DON'T TURN THIS ON ME I'M A ADULT  " she yelled. " yea but did you forget your a mom as well " i said. She stood there giving me a sorry look. " u forgot you were a mom wow " i said surprised. " no evelyn " she said grabbing my hand but i pulled it away. " i'm going to bed goodnight " i said then i ran upstairs. I sat on my bed and cried. my mom and i have never really been close but i thought all of that would change when we moved but i guess not.

Next morning

I opened my eyes and sat up. I fell asleep in my clothes last night so I got up and got into the shower really quick then i got dressed and only put on my mascara and lip gloss.

I grabbed my stuff and walked downstairs i saw my mom and rolled my eyes. " evelyn i would like to talk to you when u get home " she said. " yea well i don't " i said grabbing my keys. " evelyn i am your mother " she said. " really i'm surprised you didn't forget today " i said walking out the house. " i am your mother u will talk to me with respect " she said chasing after me. " ok when u don't forget about me till then i hate you " i said getting into my car. I drove out my driveway and started driving to school. I walked to my locker and brandon walked up to me. " hey evelyn " he said. " hey b " i said smiling  " alright well the bell just rang you wanna walk to class " he said. " do we have to " i whined. " it's only the second day and u want to skip bad child " he said laughing. " ugh fine " i said closing my locker. " oh shit evelyn we only have a minute run " he said running. " fuck " i said running. We both ran into the classroom and the bell rang. " arreaga and rowan you are late " Mrs. smith said. " but we got here before the bell rang " brandon said. " yes but you weren't in your seats " she said. " oh your one of those teachers " i said making everyone laugh. " go take a seat this is a warning " she said. Brandon and I sat down.

Later that day

I was walking to the cafeteria with tif and char. We all dressed kinda bummy we looked like a squad it was great. " well isn't it the bummy sisters " zion said. " oh shut up " char said. " damn it's only the second day and y'all already gave up on your outfits " nick said. " umm but aren't you wearing sweats " i said. " so i'm a guy " he said. " that's still giving up " i said making everyone laugh. " whatever evelyn " he said smiling.
