Chapter 89: Clockwork Part 14
Jess POV
Ping!
[Flesh Golem Crafting] has been created!
"Finally, it's done," I let out a tired sigh as crammed a Mana Core into the flesh golem on my table. "Now the boring part..."
I never knew Ivor had suck dark ideas, such a shame that he never got to make it a reality. But Ivor didn't continue it because he thought it was immoral, considering these flesh golems require a dead human, he just didn't have anything else to help finish his research.
But now with Mana involved, I can make it so much more. I spent the next hour crafting my flesh golems with the help of the skill, removing their organs, soaking them in chemicals so the body won't decay, implanting mechanical devices coated in poison.
I dressed it in a dark cloak, covering their patchwork bodies, but never covering their intact faces. "I envy you," I whispered as I gently stroked my burned hand across a flesh golem's face, a male with brown hair and eyes. "I can just repair your face, replace the parts you've lost... but I can't do the same for me."
I only made one flesh golem; technically five but they don't really count since they're nothing but failures. I placed my one successful puppet inside my Inventory before I looked around and saw the abomination at the Clockwork Fortress, screaming and thrashing around.
"He broke my Alluring Skull," I let out a frustrated huff. "I thought I would learn blood magic first before I used this, but I guess you can never plan for everything..."
I pulled out another Hell Ring; an eyeball with three purple irises as the gem while the band itself was a blue slime, resembling crying tears.
[Hell Ring: Sorrow]
A ring crafted by the demon Maura. This ring allows the wearer to put the victim into paralysis while warping the surrounding environment to match the victim's deepest fears. This ring will passively increase all illusion skills by 20%. However wearing this ring reduces total Mana Capacity by 10%.
I felt my MP reduce again, always a chilling feeling void of compassion and love. I had my mutated endermen teleport me near the Clockwork Fortress, Cassie went back to the maze in the Far Lands to have 'fun' with Maya; I knew I forgot to feed someone when I came back from Redstonia.
----------
Raven crawled out from the wreckage before tripping down the rubble and landing on the snowy ground; the fog parted away before filling around her.
She started to panic, and cry, when she noticed something missing from her belt. "M-My book," She painfully got up and limped back towards the rubble. "Where... where is it...?"
She couldn't understand why she is crying, here of all places. It's not that she didn't know the reason why; she just knew that if she did, it would bring up bad memories all over again.
...Raven ignorant of life outside of slavery...
...Raven beaten as a child by the other slaves...
...Raven meeting her one friend...
...That one friend teaching her everything she knows...
...Waking up one day to find out that everyone else is dead...
...Discovering that her friend was responsible, and she unintentionally helped him...
She found her book wedged in stone, he held it in her burned hands to feel its smooth cover and safety. Raven held the book to her chest; she found it in the empty underground where she and the other slaves used to live.
This booked promised her redemption if she followed its rules. Notched talked and guide her on her life. But her god would be disappointed in her behavior. She needs to help Jesse, someone who is brave and forgiving unlike everyone else she's encountered.
Plus, he didn't try to kill her when he saw her wings, and that's a good start. She didn't have to look for long as she found him being pulled up by people with organs and crushed bones wrapped around their necks as nooses.
The abomination was focusing on Jesse, and she is watching this from the side of it, so she will have to move quickly from behind in order for it to not notice her.
The sight of that thing disturbed her. She took in a deep breath, wiping away the last of her tears before casting <Heal> and <Haste> on herself.
"It would have to do," Her wings hurt when she stretched them out, but Jesse is about to be eaten! With her improved speed, she flew low to the ground, above the abomination's extended lower body that he dragged across the ground.
She had to create a platform of divine energy under her when she saw what was below her, about a block away from falling down to the abomination's skin... or rather, what's coming out of it.
Hundreds, possibly thousands, of featureless people tangled and screaming from the surface of his skin; turned into crumbling carbon, only for it to gather back to the whole.
If the abomination's skin was like water, then these people are downing. They're hitting and biting, some of them with tangled limbs, choking on them, with faces fused together, trying to escape.
For every one person trying to escape, three more would pull them back down in their own selfish attempt. Raven had to shut her ears from the screaming; all of the words had the theme of agony.
Kill me...
That voice sounded like a man, close to her. Raven felt her platform lurch behind her when she saw someone grabbing on to it.
Please... kill me...
Raven let out a scream when she saw there were other people fused onto him as his crumbling hand gripped her platform of divine energy. Ultimately, him being attached to the abomination caused her platform to crack on contact.
But the worst part of it all was the baby-sized heads on his face, swelling like tumors as they screamed for their dead parent; they too scattered among the damned.
Please, please kill me!
Blood leaked out of his hollowed eyes; tears flowing down. He dragged himself closer, begging her.
I want to die, please, it hurts, it hurts, it... it...!
His mouth unhinged as several heads and arms emerged out form his mouth, his body peeling back like dead skin on dry lips, and popping before being dragged down into the abomination.
Raven jumped off the platform before flapping her wings to fly, ignoring the constant screams that seemed to go on for an eternity before she finally reached the abomination's head-
Just in time for Jesse to reach out and grab the Incognito Contract from the abomination's mouth.
----------
Jesse found himself tackled by Raven, ripping him out of the abomination's 'tongue'. Everything moved so slowly as Raven held him tight, the eyes inside the abomination's mouth looked at them before the mouth lurched forward.
Jesse looked in his outstretched arm to see the Incognito Contract in his grip. He brought the corner of the parchment to his mouth before tearing it apart.
SHHHhhhrrrriiiip-WHOOSH!
The paper ignited, a red flame washed over it before turning into ash. Jesse watched with the runes in his eyes while the abomination's profile slowly changed.

He can see the species and elemental affinities now! And the other question marks are turning into letters and numbers too.
Jesse and Raven saw the glow of multiple red eyes, which suddenly appeared around them. The eyes started to glow a bloody red as Jesse felt himself being pulled to somewhere.
'No!' He screamed mentally as the red light engulfed them. 'I need to know who he is-'
Everything in Jesse's mind went blank when he saw the name among the unscrambling profile.

----------
Raven landed on Jesse, she got up realizing how dark the area is. Standing up, she reached for her book. "<Illuminate>"
Four orbs of bright light flew out of her book, lighting about ten blocks of visibility, but still, nothing but darkness and the blood stained ground where a circle with a dot in the center is under her; an eye.
"Where are we?" Raven asked out loud. She looked down at Jesse to see that he is fine, but seems to be out of it; as if he saw a dead man.
"Jesse?" Raven snapped her fingers in front of him. Nothing. She shook him. Still nothing. "Damn it..."
She hoisted Jesse onto her shoulder, holding his legs with her right arm as she held her book in her left. "Where now...?"
"RAVEN!" A voice screamed her name as she turned to face an open door with light flooding out.
"Olivia?" Raven asked, slowly walking towards the door. "Is that you?"
"Yes, but you need to run!" Olivia screamed. "Those lights are going to attract them!"
"Who?"
"Them!" Olivia shouted, and at that moment, Raven heard the growls.
Raven watch many naked, malnourished humans stumbled/crawled out from the darkness. Their white skin reflected the light as their single eye showed hunger while the veins spreading from the eye pulsed.
One of them let out a throat-shredding scream, and lunged forward and ripped a chunk of Raven's wing out before she summoned a pillar of divine energy to pierce through its heart.
The creature stopped moving. The other ones noticed their fallen comrade before lunging and eating the dead creature like madmen.
That is until they stopped, and slowly turned their head towards a retreating Raven, still carrying Jesse, before screaming.
"<Minor Creation>!" Raven's footprints left small white circles with a smooth design, leaving behind obstacles to slow down these cannibalistic creatures as she jumped through the door before Olivia shut it close.
SLAM-!
"<Major Creation>!" Raven slammed her hand on the closed, iron door. A wall erected on both the front and back of the door as chains pierced through it and the iron wall holding it in place. For good measure, Raven placed spikes on the outside of the divine wall.
Olivia helped carry Jesse as she let out a gasp. "Raven, your wing!"
"I'll heal it later," She snapped before helping the redstone user carry Jesse. "What the hell is going on, what are those things?!"
"I don't really know," The two females walked down an iron floor laced with a red trail with symbols flanking it. "But there is someone who can."
"Who?"
"Back on the iron wall, me and everyone else were teleported down here," Olivia explained as they approached an iron wall as the familiar sounds of pistons worked to open a way through. "A woman used some blood magic and cleric magic to teleport us down here."
They walked through the opening as it closed behind them, repeating the same process as they walked. "Who is this woman?" Raven asked. "If she's a blood mage then-!"
"No, she only used a spell to transport us," Olivia clarified. "She's nice, and healed us, plus her Class is Cleric."
"A real cleric?" Raven was surprised. The pale girl looked around her and asked the obvious. "Where is this place?"
"We're directly underneath the Clockwork Fortress; in the exact center," Olivia and Raven, still carrying a silent Jesse, walked though one more opening in another iron wall before it closed behind them. "The commander's office is down here."
"The commander is down here?" Raven asked before a taking on a hostile glare. "She's got a lot to answer for when I get my hands on her!"
"You might want to hold off on that," Olivia sighed. "She's not here."
"You got to be kidding me..." Raven sighed. "Then where the hell is she then?"
"As I said, she can explain it better." They found themselves in a large circular room. They stood on a fenced walkway that framed the edges of the room while large pool of blood boiled down below.
Raven looked around to see many symbols and pictures of eyes scattered around everywhere. Still carrying Jesse, they walked towards an opening that leads to a quartz room.
This large room, with papers on a desk, a big chair, with banners of the Kingdom of the Forest hanging everywhere gave off the impression of superiority.
"Hey, it's you!" Luke ran up to them. "I can't believe you made it!"
"Luke?" Raven tried to recall. "Oh yeah, I got transferred here with you."
"You know each other?" Axel walked up to them, healed.
Luke turned back to him. "Yeah, she's one of the three that transferred here with me."
"It's good to see you to," Raven nodded as she used <Heal> on herself, fixing her wing, and gave Jesse to Axel.
"What wrong with him?" Axel asked, easily carrying his friend.
"I don't know," Raven admitted. "But there is a lot going on above the surface that you all need to know about."
"Well, you can tell everyone else too, Petra is with the woman who brought us down here." Olivia then turned to Raven. "For that explanation, keep it simple so Axel can understand."
"Why would she need to do that?" Luke asked.
"Because Axel has low intelligence," Olivia said casually. "He can't understand redstone, so everyone needs things simplified."
Axle let out a tired sigh. "Good to see you too." He said sarcastically.
Olivia didn't notice it as she nodded with approval. Luke sent Raven a questioning stare to which she only shook her head in disappointment.
They walked up a small quartz staircase that led to a giant door. Before it is a small bed, a chest, various books scattered around the quartz ground, and a medical table where a girl was using her magic with Petra's eyes.
"Alright, that should do it." The girl removed her hand as two black circles with a jagged design faded from Petra's eyes. "Open your eyes."
Petra hesitantly opened her eyes, no longer blind. "I-I can see, I can see!" She shouted in joy before rubbing her eyes. "Man, wow, everything is really bright..."
"Don't worry about it," She gave a reassuring smile as she turned towards the approaching group. "Raven?"
Raven looked at the girl's right eye, the left missing, as the sclera is black with a white pupil. "Tangle, what's with your eye?" The pale girl asked. "What's with the grey and red cloak, you usually wear colorful cloths?"
[Tangle] Level 220
Class: Cleric
Title: Buried and Forgotten
"It's what they made me wear," She gestured to herself before tapping her right eye. "This is a side effect from using cleric magic."
"Why would Notch's magic do something like that?" Raven asked as she got a closer examination while Axel placed Jesse down on the medical bed, Petra helping him.
"Raven, I use Herobrine's magic," Tangle reminded before glaring at her. "It's kind of the reason why you don't like me..."
"Oh, right," Raven's face went blank before taking a step back in disgust. "So what are you doing down here, where's the commander of this fortress?"
"I honestly don't know," Tangle shrugged before pulling out a pocket watch that is black with red veins as the smooth designs on the sides, with five white eyes on the lid. "They just placed me down here, gave me this cloak, food, and left me down here for months with this stupid pocket wa-!"
Jesse tackled her to the ground before anyone could stop him. "Get off of me! Someone help!" Tangled screamed as everyone else pulled Jesse off of her.
But not before he wrenched the pocket watch out of Tangle's hand. "Where did you get this watch?!" He growled, holding the watch by the chain.
"Jesse," Petra made him face her, angry. "Why did you-?"
"Remember that pocket watch?" Jesse interrupted her, a bit aggressively. "The one that belonged to my stepmom?"
"Yeah so?" Petra asked, confused as everyone else.
Jesse held up the object. "This, Petra, is the watch that I placed in my mother's coffin before they buried her," Jesse glared as everyone else looked at Tangle in suspicion. "So why does she have it?"

Number of memories Contained:
Mevia: 2 memories.

A/N: FINALLY, I GET TO WRITE ABOUT THIS PART! *Let's out a deep breath* I've been planning this part for so long, I'm really excited to write about this! And Tangle is an OC submitted to The_FNAF_MCSM_Person, who had submitted a long time ago, but with such little details, I didn't know where to place her until a few months ago!
Anyways, the reason why this whole arc was called "Clockwork", was not because of the fortress, but because of the pocket watch Jesse talked about in chapter 78. I honesty didn't think this arc would be so long, but as I wrote, I realized some missing detail, and with my writing, I don't like to leave gaps.
But man, that abomination! Creepy right, with the part with the guy crying blood while baby heads are on his body until other people are emerging from his mouth? Again, had this planned out for a LONG time, I'm glad I've finally got to write it!
Anyways I've finally published that Dreams of Estorra fic, and I want you all to go check it out as it has somewhat role-play traits, that will let me have a greater interaction with the audience as it will be like a game to see who's OC survives the longest.
The rules are explained there, but I'm only accepting four, and I've accepted two. Some where good, but not that good, and ultimately they were uncooperative and didn't follow the rules. So if you want to enter, then go to my profile and read that story! #ShamelessPromotion
