Kira's P.O.V.:

It was early in the morning and I clocked in for my shift. I wasn't expecting it to be busy until later because most of the patients sleep until noon, but my doctor was worried about me spending too much time on my feet, so they put me at the front desk until I could leave for maternity leave. It felt a little degrading, but in all honesty it was nice to relax for a change. Plus I was still helping people at least.

"Excuse me?" A man with brown hair and green eyes walked up to the counter.

"Can I help you?" I asked.

"Yes I'm looking for someone. I think he was in a car accident."

"Ok what is the name?"

"Lloyd Garmadon." He said.

I was confused, but not surprised. Lloyd always got a lot of visitors and gifts every time he ends up in the hospital, which happens way more often than it should. When he came out of his coma people all over town donated money to help Lloyd and Ryder get back on their feet, and I think he's still living off some of it. He was the face of Ninjago City after all.

"I'm sorry but Lloyd checked out of the hospital a few days ago. He's expected to make a full recovery." I told him.

"Oh." The man frowned.

"May I ask why you were looking for him?"

"Oh I uhh... I'm such a big fan of Lloyd and I wanted to meet him, that's all."

"That's understandable, I know he is the best ninja, at least in my eyes." I smiled.

"Oh, are you friends with him?" He asked me.

"I'm Kira, his wife." I smiled.

"I'm Akamu." He introduced himself and looked at my stomach. "Oh wow, and you two are having a baby?"

"Yep, it's a baby girl." I smiled.

"Is it your first?" He asked.

"For me yes, but Lloyd has a son from another marriage."

"Oh yeah, I read about that. It's a miracle that kid pulled through."

"Yeah, but we're just happy we can start over now." I smiled.

"Oh sorry, I should let you get back to work. Nice talking to you."

"You too." I waved goodbye.

I usually don't talk to costumers about stuff like that, but Lloyd said that we shouldn't hide secrets from the public anymore. As long as Harumi stays in jail, it wouldn't make much of a difference anyway.

Later I finished my shift and went home and it was late so everyone was in bed already. I went back to my bedroom where Lloyd sitting on the bed. I was of course exhausted from work, but my work is never done.

"Hey." Lloyd smiled. "How was your day?"

"Exhausting." I put down my purse and set on the bed next to Lloyd. "But they did move me to the reception desk so it's a lot less time on my feet."

"Well that's good." Lloyd said.

"Something weird happened today though." I told him.

"Oh yeah?"

"This guy came in looking for you and when I told him you weren't there, he asked me a bunch of weird questions."

"About what?"

"About our baby and how we got together." I said. "He said his name was Akamu, does that ring a bell to you at all?"

"Akamu?" Lloyd pondered. "I think I've heard that name before but I don't remember where."

"Do you need anything before I go to bed?" I asked him.

"Don't worry, my mom took care of me all day, I'm good."

"What about Ryder?"

"In bed. I even got to read him a story tonight."

"Aww I'm glad." I smiled and kissed his cheek. "Good night."

"Night."

Lloyd's P.O.V.:

Kira practically passed out in the bed, but I couldn't help but think about where I had heard that name before. It sounded so familiar and I couldn't put my finger on it. Was it maybe someone I had went to boarding school with? Or maybe I saved him one time during a mission. I just couldn't shake the feeling that I knew him somehow.

I stayed up most of the night and just realized where I heard it. It was from a part of my past that I didn't want to remember. I don't think I ever met him, but Harumi talks in her sleep and she would whisper his name under her breath. I didn't dare ask her about it, I always just assumed it was an ex boyfriend or maybe someone she was cheating on me with, which lets be honest was a real possibility. It's weird that the actual guy comes back and is looking for me. I gotta be careful because if he's out to get me, I don't want Ryder or Kira to get hurt.

I knew that Kira had taken the day off, which she desperately needed, so I didn't want to wake her up. I put on my back brace and grabbed my crutches and attempted a walk to the living room. Usually Kira helps me but she's been so tired lately I wanted to give her a break. I got to the living room and set with Ryder on the couch.

"Morning Daddy." He smiled at me.

"Morning son." I smiled. "How did you sleep?"

"Great." He smiled. "Can we go to the park today?"

"Sure buddy, have you eaten breakfast?" I asked.

"Yep, Grandma made me bacon."

"Well let me get dressed and then I'll take you ok?"

"Ok." He nodded.

I knew that if we went to the park, it would be the perfect place to take a loud, energetic six year old boy while his mother gets the rest she deserves. Plus last time I talked to Ava she suggested getting Ryder out of the house more often would be good for him.

The park was a short walk from here, but because of my condition we took a cab instead. We arrived at the park and I was sitting on a bench watching Ryder play on the playground. A tall man with brown hair and green eyes sat beside me.

"Which ones yours?" He asked me.

"The one over there on the swings." I pointed to Ryder.

"Cute kid." He said.

"Yeah, he's a handful but I love him." I smiled. "Do you have any kids?"

"A little girl, but she lives with her mom so I don't see her very often." He sighed.

"Oh, sorry." I apologized.

"It's ok, It's better for all of us this way. She can be safe with her mom and I can focus on my work."

"Your work?" I questioned.

"I'm a photographer so I'm always traveling. It wouldn't be fair to take my daughter all over the place like that."

"I see." I nodded. "How old is she?"

"She turned seven last month." He answered.

"My boy is seven too."

"Lloyd?" I heard Kira's voice coming from behind me.

"Kira?" I turned around and saw her walking up to me. "What are you doing here? I thought you would want to sleep in today."

"Well the baby had other ideas." She laughed. "Anyway, your mom said that you took Ryder here and I thought you needed a ride home."

"That's nice of you but we were just gonna take a cab." I told her.

"Well you should at least invite me."

"I didn't think you wanted to be disturbed."

Kira and I got into an argument about the whole thing for about ten minutes before I realized that the guy I was talking to had left. I turned to the swings and Ryder was gone too. I figured he had gone to another part of the playground where I couldn't see him, but after looking all around the park Kira and I couldn't find him anywhere.

"How could I let this happen again? I'm such a bad father." I panicked.

"Lloyd, calm down. He knows his way home from here, maybe he walked back to the monastery." Kira got out her phone. "I'll call your mom and see if he came home."

"Ok, I'll text my friends and see if anyone's seen him."

Lloyd: Hey guys, has anyone
seen Ryder today?

Kai: I haven't.

Zane: Negative.

Nya: He didn't come by here.

Cole: Did he run away again?

Lloyd: No, I took him to the park and
I took my eyes off him for ten minutes
and he was gone. I'm really worried.

Zane: Perhaps you should
report it to the police.

Lloyd: I can't. If I do that they're
required to tell Harumi and that
gives her a reason to break out of
prison again.

Jay: You might have to
if you can't find him.

Kai: Are you sure she's not
behind this? It sounds like
something she would do.

Lloyd: How would she
even get to him?

Nya: If she did, Ryder
could be in danger. At
least call the station and ask.

Lloyd: If Harumi did have Ryder,
that would be the last place she
would take him.

Jay: maybe she's not working
alone. Is there anyone that
could be working with her?

Lloyd: Jay might be onto
something. I'll check back
later guys, there's something
I have to check out.

Nya: We'll all take our dragons
and look for Ryder from the air.

Cole: Good idea.

Kai: We'll let you know
if we find anything.

Lloyd: Thanks guys.

I put my phone away and Kira looked at me. She seemed really upset.

"He didn't go home?" I asked.

"Your mom said she hasn't seen him." She frowned. "Any luck with the others?"

"No." I shook my head. "They said they'll take the dragons and start looking but by the time they find him it might be too late."

"Don't think like that, we'll find him." Kira hugged me. It honestly hurt when she did, but I needed one of her hugs right now.

"Come on, we need to find him."

I sparked my powers and tried to summon my dragon, but I was so weak from my injuries that I could barely hold it together for a full minute, much less get it off the ground. I really wanted to find my son, but how was I supposed to do that in this condition?

"Lloyd, you shouldn't be using your powers, much less your dragon." Kira reminded me.

"This is an emergency Kira, Ryder could be hurt or worse and I can't let this happen again. I just can't." I frowned.

"I know and we won't let anything happen to him, but you gotta take it easy and let us help. Ok?" Kira looked at me.

I took a deep breath and nodded. "You're right, I'm sorry I just... just wish I could stop screwing up with that kid."

"Lloyd, we've got everybody looking, we're gonna find him."

"Kira, you said that guy showed up at your work, what did he look like?"

"Green eyes, brown hair, kinda tall. Why?"

"That sounds just like the guy I was talking to before." I thought about it for a minute but then I connected the dots. "Kira, I think Ryder was taken."

"By who?"

"Harumi's brother."
