I grumble unhappy as I taps my pencil on the table and stares at my useless notes. Of course Wu had to assign this project on a subject no one knew anything about. Huffing I stand up from my seat and begin wandering the ilse of books that loom over me like prison walls.

I sigh as I scan the ilse I'm in for any reference to time or better yet the hands of time, but my hunt is futile. Biting my lip I lean my head back for one last scan of the high shelves. I feel excitement rush though me as a book catches my attention. It has gold trim and a mix of red, blue, yellow and green on its spine and its name is The Web of Time: The Journey of the Hand's of Time. I can barely contain a squeal as is reach up to grab the book, and just as I begin to think my luck has changed I realise even on my tippy toes I'm too short to reach the book. Suddenly a chuckle erupts from behind me and I whip around to see the source. I swallow as a boy dressed in red captures my attention, Kai Smith.
"What's so funny, Kai," I growl, trying to sound tough.
He chuckles again before answering, "Oh nothing, short stuff, just wondering if you want a hand."
"No, I'm fine, but thanks for the offer," I say.
"You sure, short stuff? I mean it would be really easy for me to reach over you and just grab the book for you," he says, bending down to look me in the eyes.
I feel my face heat up as I make eye contact, his eyes have always made me weak at the knees. It was some thing about the was the seemed to burn with an everlasting fire. I open my mouth to reply but no words escape.
"You sure you don't want help,~" he says, moving his arm to the side of my head and leaning very close to my face.
My eyes move from his eyes to his lips and a strong urge to kiss him washes over me.
"You sure you don't just want me to grab the book,~" he says again, moving slightly closer to my face.
The slight displacement of air on my left side tells me Kai moved his other arm to grab the book but my mind is unable to focus on anything but the hot head in front of me. I can hear the book being pulled out above my head but I'm still frozen in place as the distance between Kai's lips and my own becomes smaller and smaller. His eyes slowly slide shut as he lowers the book and closes the remaining distance between our lips. I don't hesitate to kiss back as my eyes flutter shut. It feels like fireworks, to say I'm enjoying kissing Kai is an understatement. Kai slowly pulls back, but I've waited so long for this I'm not letting him go so easily. I let out a small whimper before putting my hands on Kai's face and pulling him forward, reuniting our lips for another kiss. As I we kiss the book slips out of Kai's hand landing with a dull thump on the floor. Slowly Kai pulls away again and I open my eyes to see his face matches his sweatshirt. I hear a giggle that is quickly muffled and the click of a camera. My eyes widen as I realise we're still in the library, and that Jay was supposed to meet me here.
"Shoot," I mumble as I push Kai away and pick up the book off the floor, "I'll uh talk to you later Kai."
He just stares at me as I run down the ilse to find Cole with his hand over Jay's mouth.
"You have five seconds to run," I growl at Jay, who in turn wiggles out of Cole's grasp and begins running for dear life
