Clover's POV

I was in the kitchen, just watching tv when the show I was watching changed to the news channel. The news reporter said "We're sorry to interrupt this program to report that Tu'la has surrendered and a peace treaty is currently underway as we speak! Why they surrender? A delta squad had gone behind enemy lines and killed their highest ranking officer! The war is over!" I stared at the screen in shock and yelled "Guys! It's over!!!" Kevin ran in and said "What's over?!" "The war! It's over!" I cheered happily. Mom walked in and said "Thank Irene. It's finally done." "Hey Mom. I need help finding a dress for the prom!" I said to Mom. She said "Of course! I have the perfect dress for you! Follow me!" and she went upstairs. I followed Mom to the attic and she pulled out a dark red dress. She said "This is what I wore at my high school prom! I want you to wear it!" "It's beautiful Mom!" I said, taking in the beauty of it. "Well! Try it on sweetie!" Mom said. I nodded, changed into it, and looked into the old mirror that we had and said "It's fits pretty well!" Mom shed a tear and said "You look gorgeous!" "Thanks Mom!" I said and after I changed back, I went downstairs.

*Timeskip to the night of the prom

I was with Mom, Kevin, Kizly, Aubrey, and Forest's parents at my house waiting for Forest to show up. Kizly looked beautiful with her light blue dress and Kevin was staring at her in awe. McKenna and Mom were talking when the doorbell rang. Mom opened it and I saw Forest in his tux. He walked over to me and said "C-Clover...you look like an angel." "T-Thanks Forest. You look handsome in that tux." I said as we both blushed a little pink. "Aww! You two look so cute!" McKenna said. "M-Mom!" Forest said, embarrassed. We all talked when I heard a voice behind me, "You look amazing my little sunshine." Wait...that can't be... I thought and quickly turned around to see Dad standing there in his army uniform with a warm smile. "DAD!!!!!!" me and Kevin literally screamed as we ran to him and tackled him to the floor. He laughed as we hugged him tightly. "We missed you!" we both said. "I missed you too." Dad said as we got off of him and he stood up. McKenna ran up to him and hugged him and said "Doofus! You're back!" Dad chuckled and said "Heh. Hi Goofball." she let go and Sarah walked up to him and said "Daddy!" he picked her up and said "Hi there little one! Miss me?" she giggled as he put her down. Dad then looked at Mom and she stared at him with tears in her eyes. Mom walked up to him and slapped his face and said "Don't. Ever. Leave. Me. Again." and she kissed him. Dad kissed back and after they were done, Dad hugged her and said "I'll never leave you again Ivy. I love you." "I love you too, you big idiot." Mom said and kissed his cheek. McKenna was fangirling at the moment and I laughed. "Well, we better get to the school now!" Kizly said with excitement. We all agreed and said goodbye to our parents and Sarah. Off to the prom we go!!!!!!
