Three Months Later...

Clover's POV

I woke up to see light shining in my face through the window. I sat up and looked around my room and thought Might as well get up then. I got off my bed and changed my clothes and went downstairs. I saw Mom, Sarah, and Kevin eating breakfast so I joined them. Mom looked up and said "She's alive!" I heard chuckles from my other siblings but I just rolled my eyes. We ate in silence and after we were done, Mom went upstairs and me, Kevin, and Sarah decided to play hide and seek! I was seeking so I counted to ten and said "Ready or not, here I come!" I looked around the room and saw Sarah's feet under a blanket so I walked over and pretended that I didn't know where she was and then I yanked the blanket off and yelled "Found you!" "Aww man!" she said. I giggled and was about to say something when I heard a knock on the door. Mom walked up to the door with a smile and opened it but her smile slowly disappeared as she looked at three army men. Two of them saluted and the other gave Mom a envelope and a uniform and hat. The uniform and hat had a red cross on it and Mom whispered "No no no no no..." tears fell from her face as I realized what has happened. I burst into tears and said "N-No...D-Dad...." Kevin and Sarah walked in and Kevin's eyes went wide as he saw the army guys. He yelled "No! H-He can't be dead!" the army men gave us a sad look and left. Mom was shaking and she screamed "STEVENNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" 

I suddenly woke up screaming "DADDDDD!!!!!!!" I was shaking, sweating, and breathing very fast. It-It was a dream?! No...a nightmare. I thought as I felt tears run down my face. I sobbed and I didn't see that Kevin walked in and hugged me saying "It's okay Clover. Let it out." I sobbed even more and said "I-I miss D-Dad..." (GODDARN IT! WHY YOU GONNA LEAVE STEVEN?! Anyways...back to the story!) "I know. I miss him too Cloves." Kevin replied, stroking my hair in an effort to calm me down. After I calmed down, I went back to sleep. I woke up, got dressed, and went downstairs. After me and Kevy ate breakfast, we went to school. We got to school to see that everyone was talking about something and then I saw the poster! It's the end-of-the-year prom???!!!! EEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! I thought, very excited. I ran to my friends and asked "Who's going to the prom?!" Jenni, Kizly, Daya, Dana, Forest, Kevin, and more said in unison "Me!" "Me and Kizly are going together!" Kevin announced and everyone congratulated them. They blushed a little and Daya said "Me and Dana are just gonna go without dates." "I might go with J-Jake..." Jenni said, nervously. "OOOOOOOO~!" we all said as Jenni and Jake blushed red. "S-Shut up!" Jenni stuttered and then she said "What about you Clover?! Have anyone on your mind?" I gulped and said "I don't know yet." "I bet you twenty bunks it's Forest." Kizly whispers to Dana. "Hey! I heard that!" I yelled. They just giggled and Forest said "Well, we should be going to class now." we all nodded and went to our classes. After school, I was walking to Kevin's car when I heard someone call my name. "Hey Clovey! Wait up!" Forest yelled, running up to me. "Yeah Forest?" I asked him with curiosity. He started to blush a bit and said "W-Would you like to go to the prom with me?" I said "Of course! I'd love to! I mean...yeah, sure!" I tried to be cool about it but it failed badly. He laughed but said "That's great! See you later Bumble Gum!" he walked away. I'm going to the prom with Forest?! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! Wait....did he just call me Bumble Gum?! That's actually really cute. I thought while blushing like a tomato.
