"W-What..?" The blonde Celestial mage stuttered, hearing the cruel truth about her best friend.

"You heard it right, Heartfilia!" The man said as Lucy's eyes widened more. How could it be his fault? She thought. She thought she had known him, she thought that he cared about her... and worst of all, she thought she could've trusted him.

"Natsu, your dearest friend is my brother and he is one of my demons, you must've heard the name E.N.D. before.." Zeref spelled the name slowly, slow enough to make Lucy's mind turn upside down. She didn't know what was happening. Was she dreaming?

Is this a nightmare? This can't be true... right? I know Natsu, he probably doesn't know about this. Zeref's lying! He's lying!

"Oh yeah, I forgot to mention... you do remember why Tartoros attacked you, don't you?" Lucy's eyes widened as her eyes slowly traveled to Zeref.

"N-No..." She wispered quietly.

"That's right! You lost your first friend because of my beloved brother! He is the reason Aquarius is gone!" Zeref screamed with the scariest look on his face. Lucy couldn't take anymore of this. She started screaming, screaming in terror.

Her screams as she cried filled the dark cave she and Zeref were in. Tears flew as she remembered the most painful memory she had. Her sacrifice of Aquarius. She felt guilty before, she felt like she killed her since she held the key. But now, she slowly realized that nothing of this would've happened if Natsu wasn't there.

"This is all his fault... She is gone because of him! I hate him! I hate him!! I HATE HIM!!! She never did anything to deserve it! She was.. my best friend... Aquarius..!" She cried, she never stopped. Her hot tears ran down from her puffy eyes and her red cheeks. She held her head as it hurted badly.

The pain she felt when she heard Aquarius say that she needs to sacrifice her to save her friends,

The pain when she begged her to find another way,

The pain when she decided to do it,

The pain when she watched her key break into pieces,

The pain when no one knew about it and she had to endure it alone,

The thing was, it hurted more this time.. Just because it was his fault.

"Aaah!" The blonde yelled as she roughly woke up from another dream Zeref was in, but this one was the one where she lost all her patience. She was gonna confront Natsu about this. She needed to know truth, this needed to stop.

~Guild~

Guild was as noisy as ever. Gray and Natsu were fighting, Juvia was watching and cheered Gray on, Erza was eating her strawberry cake, Happy was eating his fish, Wendy was with Charle, Gajeel and Levy talked together and so on.

They all silenced themselves as guilds door slammed open by their beloved Celestial wizard. She had a frown on her face.

"Good morning, Lucy-san, how are you?" Little Wendy asked as Lucy didn't pay any attention to the smal child. She walked to Natsu and dragged him to the back of the guild while he became confussed as well.

"What was that for?" He argued and stood on his feet, brushing the dust off his black coat.

"Do you know about E.N.D.?" She asked.

"Yeah.. Zerefs most powerful demon. What about him?" He asked, he started to sweat a little. He knew his identity and he was nervous what Lucy would ask him next.

"What's your relationship with Zeref?" She asked, crossing her arms under her chest while looking at the floor.

"I don't have any kind of relationship with him!" He deffended himself.

"Beside the fact that you're brothers?" Natsu's eyes widened. How does she know that?

"W-What are you saying, Luce..?" He said in the state of surprise.

"Just tell me the truth Natsu and that'll be all!" She mumbled the last part, even though Natsu heard it.

"What do you mean 'that'll be all'? He said. That will be all of our friendship..? No, don't think that, Luce wouldn't do that. He started to feel anxiety, something he wasn't familiar with.

"I mean, just tell me what I want to know and that will be final of the relationship we have." She was serious, more than ever before. But she couldn't take it anymore, everyday she woke up from the same dream and it haunted her daily. She wanted to know the truth and take a break from their friendship.

How could she trust someone who was responsible for the death of her mother and first friend?

"L-Lucy... don't do this. What the hell's with you?" He felt heartbroken from her words, he didn't want to lose her. He loved her afterall. He put his hands on her shoulders, but she pushed them off.

"Don't touch me, just answer my damn question! Are you E.N.D. and Zerefs brother or not?!" She scremed at his face, she trembled, she was scared of what he had to say. She closed her eyes, tightened her grip on her skirt and lowered her head.

"I-I..." He began, he was also scared, scared of her reaction when she finds out. He wouldn't care if the whole guild rejected him or kicked him out, but he was genuenly scared of Lucys reaction.

"I am.." Her eyes shot open and she felt numb. She was unable to process it, it took her a minute, but after she did her knees began to feel weak. She fell on her knees and covered her mouth as tears treathened to fall. She didn't want to believe her best friend was responsible for so much pain in her life.

"Luce!" He kneeled down in rush to see if she was all right, he put his hands on her shoulders once more. He saw her reaction and he was terrified because this was the thing that scared him the most. He being the cause of her pain.

"Lucy, don't cry.. what is it?" Her eyes hardened as she pushed him away.

"So its true... It is your fault! You are the cause of the Tartoros incident. You are the cause of Aquarius' death! You are the reason my mother is dead!" The tears rushed down her face as she ran away. She ran back to her house, leaving Natsu alone.

M-My fault? For Aquarius? Her mother? I knew about Tartoros, but this? Gosh, its all my fault! Natsu thought as his eyes got watery. He never wanted to be the reason for any of this.

He wiped his eyes as Gray came.

"What the hell did you and Lucy talk about? She was crying, what did you do?!" He started yelling which only made Natsu feel worse.

"I-I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!!" He crumbled down on his knees and cried in his hands. Gray's eyes softened and looked at him. He didn't know what was happening, but he saw his best friend in pain and he didn't like it.

"Tell me what happened.." He said and sat down next to Natsu.

~Some explaining later~

"Y-You're responsible for all of that?" Gray asked, still in the state of shock. He was angry, but he knew it wasn't Natsu's fault for being a demon.

Natsu slowly nodded his head.

"It'll be okay.." He smiled and gave Natsu a hug.

~To Lucy~

"Why did it have to be true? Why did he have to be the reason for so much pain in my life? Natsu... why?" She cried on the floor of her house. She never cried because of Natsu before, it hurted so much more because it was him.

"I'm so sorry Luce, if only I knew how to make things right.." He said softly and she looked up at him. He was standing on her window with tears runing down his face.

He looked like an angel, nothing like a demon. Lucy cried as much as he did. They were both hurt. He slowly walked to her side and took her in his arms.

"I'm sorry Lucy, I'm so sorry.." He continued wispering those words to her as she screamed and cried on his chest.

"Natsu.. I want to hate you, I wish I could never be near you again..." Hearing those words shattered Natsu's heart. His grip on her tightened as his tears fell more and his heart ached in pain.

"But, I can't hate you and I want to be near you even if you caused me pain.. I can't be apart from yo-" Natsu didn't let her finish, he pressed his lips against hers in a passionate kiss. She kissed him back as their tears ran down their cheeks.

"That was all I needed to hear." He said softly as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer.
