Ladies & Gentleman here we go with yet another mythical interview of a magical author @SarahBeth9009. Her current story Queen of Fire & Blood has been shortlisted this year in Watty's21'. Let get to know more about the author. 

About Author: Hi everyone! My name is Sarah Beth! I've been writing on Wattpad for the last 4 years but was making up stories in my head since I was a kid. I've self-published two books (THE FAYE'S SECRET and THE FAYE'S KEEPER) on Amazon, and am working on the final book in the FAYE trilogy. I currently live in central Florida and work full time at a bookstore (not as glamorous as it sounds!) and write during my free time. If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you'll already know that I have cat named Tinker Bell, and have a heavy obsession with Kpop. Currently, I have 3 books that involve myths and legends.

Myth and Legend Works:

MAP OF OSIRIS: Called into action by the god Osiris himself, follow Maggie, the daughter of a renowned Archeologist, as she traverses Egypt to find the missing Map of Osiris. Obstacles and riddles abound as Maggie faces threats both ancient and deadly. (MG, complete) 

 WILLOW AND THE WARLOCK: Practical Magic meets Percy Jackson. Willow, a young witch growing up in Salem, thought her biggest hurdle was passing the eighth grade. She didn't expect a moon goddess to send her on a hunt for an evil warlock. Tasked with stopping the warlock before he unleashes the Underworld on the living, Willow must count on her friends to save the world she knows before they all lose everything. (MG, complete)

THE ENDLESS SEA: Elsie Bonnet is one of the fiercest pirates in the Triangle. For three-hundred years, everything has stayed as it always has. Strangers fall into the Triangle and no one ever gets out. QUEEN OF FIRE & BLOOD: Bria simply wanted to go on a hike to clear her head; she didn't expect to fall through a portal and into a land where Vikings reign. Labeled the the prophesied Chosen One by the Norse gods, Bria is put under the King's protection. But when no one has found a way out of Volheimer in centuries, how is she supposed to be the one to free them all? Q1. What is the thing you love the most about writing on Wattpad?

 Answer: The community and feedback is what always brings me back to posting on Wattpad. The camaraderie and joy of sharing something you've created is like nothing else.

 Q2. What is the challenge you face when writing a myth and legend related story? 

Answer: Doing lots of research so I don't mess up! I try to keep the myths and legend as close to their original as possible.

 Q3: Your story Queen of Fire & Blood includes Vikings and other myths too, why did you choose to write about them?

Answer: I've always been slightly obsessed with Vikings. They've been very romanticized in the media though, haven't they? They were fierce warriors and their history is fascinating to me. Norse Mythology is one of my favorites, next to Greek or Ancient Egypt. If I was writing about Vikings, I had to include their gods, too.

Q4: Which type of myth/folklore/legend that intrigues you the most?

Answer: Stories of the gods have always intrigued me. I think this probably all started with my deep love of Percy Jackson. It's fascinating how the belief in gods has changed and shifted over time and how almost every war in history can be attributed to faith (and money).

 Q5: Any favorite tv shows or movies related to myth & legends?

Answer: I'm a huge documentary nerd. I've seen every documentary available on Ancient Egypt. I love Expedition Unknown on the travel channel. Do Ghost Hunters count? Because I watch a lot of ghost hunting shows, lol. Aside from all of that, The Last Kingdom on Netflix was what heavily inspired QUEEN OF FIRE & BLOOD. 

 Q6: If you have a chance to relive one myth, what would it be?

Answer: Oh, wow. I had to think really hard about this. My immediate thought was to pick a Greek myth, but they don't have very happy endings, so they? I think it would be pretty entertaining to watch Poseidon lose Athens to Athena in the naming of the city. Safe, too.
