I work in shadows

"Thanks for everything! See ya guys tomorrow!" Jaiden said, as she and three of her guy friends walked back to their resort that they are staying in. Then they proceeded to their respective rooms.

James and Jaiden threw themselves to their bed and huffed. "That... That was tiring. And fun too" James stated as he glanced to Jaiden, who he found smiling at him. "Yeah" she responded. Silence fell upon them, but it was no awkward silence. To them, it was a comforting one.

Moments later, Jaiden stood up from her bed and went to the balcony of their room. She felt the evening rush past her face. Then someone  covered her eyes, "Guess who?" A familiar voice said. Jaiden let out a giggle "James!" as his new boyfriend uncovered her eyes.

"So what are you doing out here?" He asked. Jaiden gave him a warm smile "It's nothing. I just want to cool off my mind from--" as she stopped in mid sentence. "From what?" James asked then he saw Jaiden's horrified face. "Jaiden?!" he asked scared as he shook her.

Then Jaiden snapped back to reality "Huh? W-what?" she asked in confusion. "What happened?" James asked, concern. Jaiden's bright face into a pale face, as if she saw a ghost. "I... I saw Dustin" she mumbled. 

Soon, James colors drained out of him. He looked out the balcony to see if he's there. No Dustin. "Huh?" he thought. Then a tear dropped on Jaiden's cheek "James. I need an honest you to answer this question... am I going insane?".

"W-why would you ask that? Of course not!" James replied. "But then... Why do I keep seeing Dustin?" she asked. Moments of thinking, James knew why "You're probably tired. Let's go and sleep Jai" he said as he led back Jaiden in.

The Next Day...

Jaiden woke up with banging sounds "AHH DUSTIN!" she screamed as "Woah Jai, its just me! Sorry for waking you up but... Looks like we accidentally locked the door" James said as he tried to open the door knob of their hotel bathroom (specifically resort).

"Oh. I'll help you with that" she said as she got out of bed and searched for the keys. "Here it is!" she said, just as she said that, she threw the bathroom key to James "Thanks Jaiden!" he said as he rushed into the bathroom. "Were you gonna poop?" Jaiden asked when James replied "Ya think?" while he let out noises of pushing something.

Jaiden couldn't help but giggle. "Alright then! But don't forget that were meeting the Animation Squad at Joanna's Kitchen for breakfast!" Jaiden reminded. Then she heard James say 'shoot' and it was followed by a loud flush. "Alright I'm done! Your turn!" he slammed the door open and pushed Jaiden in while he changed his clothes.

Minutes of shenanigans...

The duo finally finished and saw Adam and Tim waiting for them. "Sorry for making you guys wait, the door locked and... Took our time" James explained. "Hey, its okay!" Adam replied patting his back as they proceeded downstairs.

"So where are we going to meet the others again?" Tim asked, double checking. Jaiden replied stating "Alex said were going to Joanna's Kitchen". Then Tim nodded, as he got the answer he's looking for.

Then "Tim?" Jaiden asked. "Yeah?" he replied. Jaiden took a deep breath and said "You like Spechie right?". Tim gave her the 'are you serious' look "Yeah? I told you guys before, right?". "Then why wont you make a move?" she asked.

Tim's face started to heat up "U-uh... Why would you ask a question l-like that Jaiden?" he asked. "Tim... If you don't make a move first, other guys might sweep her feet off and... She'll never be yours"

Then Tim started to laugh nervously "Oh Jai--" But before he could speak "It's your choice Tim. Make the first move and there's a possibility it will be you and Spechie, or... Never do a thing and she will never be your wedded wife" she said as she caught up with James.

He looked down to the ground, absorbing the words Jaiden said. "I mean... I do like her... But--" then "Jaiden's right dude". It made Tim squeak and saw Adam. "W-wait... How did you hear me and Jaiden's conversation?"

"I was eavesdropping" He explained. Tim face palmed but then "You really think so?" he asked, as his friend nodded in agreement. Moments later, he absorbed everything and said "Yeah... You and Jaiden are right, I better do something! Though... Not too far".  "Yeah! That's the spirit!" Adam cheered as Tim thanked him, on the point of concluding their conversation, they continued to walk.

At Joanna's...

As the four entered, they were greetes by their other friends "Hey! They said" as they answered back. Then Tim immediately went to Spechie and started to talk. Spechie didnt seem to min. "Uh what just happened?" James asked curiously.

"I really dont know... Maybe it has to something with what I said to him" Jaiden explained. "What did you tell him?" He asked as she explained "Well.. I told him that he should make a move for Spechie. If not... She'll be someone's special someone, and not Tim's".

James noddes and soon snickered "This is why I love you, you're clever" as Jaiden blushed a bit and thanked him. Then they proceeded to sit down with the squad. "Morning you four! How's sleep?"Tony asked as he was eating his packed breakfast, cookies.

"Were fine!" Jaiden, James and Adam all replied. Then BlackSen asked "What about you Tim?" but he earned no response from the tall guy. He continued to talk with Spechie, and neither did Spechie hear a thing.

It was like Tim and Spechie has their own world going around them. As if they were the only people who exists. "Let us allow those two to continue talking" Jaiden suggested as the rest of the squad started a conversation without Time and Spechie.

Minutes passed as Jaiden looked out the window for a moment when "DUSTIN!!" she screamed. Everyone looked outside but see no guy, neither did James. "Jai? W-what's wrong?" he asked. Jaiden shakily replied "I-its... Dustin! I. I saw him!".

Then James patted her, it did make her calm down "Hey... Everything's going to be alright. If you DID see Dustin, he's not gonna hurt you, I promise" as Jaiden smiled at him. Then Jaiden thought to herself... "I think my friends think I'm insane..."

That Night...

The  duo have entered in their room as Jaiden sighed and said "Do you think I'm crazy?". "As I said before, of course not! What makes you ask that question again?" James asked in confusion. Jaiden rubbed her arm and explained "Well... I'm not tired and I'm still seeing Dustin. While you aren't.... Well... No matter what you tell me. I think I really AM insane"

Hey guys Cathy here with a new chapter! Yay! So hope ya enjoyed! Hmm... I wonder what'll happen to James and Jaiden though. Is James gonna yell at her or no? What consequences will they face? Who knows! I guess you just have to wait for the next Thursday then!
