Chapter Two
A few days have passed and Stevie was still thinking about her conversation with Christine. She couldn't get her thought out of her head. She needed to be free from Lindsey, someway and somehow.
"What am I going to do?" Stevie grumbled as she sat up in her bed, sighing.
The female got up from her bed, staggering over to her vanity mirror. She stared into it, looking at her puffy eyes and messy hair. She rubbed her face and sighed once again.
"Karen? Are you around?!" She called out, after opening the bedroom door.
"Coming Ms. Nicks!" A female voice responded.
Stevie sighed and closed the door. She walked over to her desk and pulled out the chair that was hidden under it. She laid her head down on the desk, her arms being used as pillows.
KNOCK
The female let out an shaky sigh before getting up from the desk after hearing the knock on the door.
"Ms. Nicks? You in here?" A female voice asked from behind the door.
Stevie made her way over to the door, opening it and staring at the female on the other side, in the hallway.
"What did you need Ms. Nicks?" She asked, looking at Stevie, a smile shining towards her.
Stevie thought for a moment, trying to think of what she actually wanted, "Can..." She hesitated, "Can you call Mick and tell him to get over here, as soon as possible, please?" Stevie asked and then closed the door before Karen could ask any questions about her request.
***
A few hours had passed and Stevie remained up in her room. She was waiting for Karen to tell her that Mick had showed up, but that hasn't happened, not yet at least. Stevie had also been sitting down at her desk, writing up something.
KNOCK
The female jolted up in her seat, quickly shoving the pieces of paper and pen into one of the drawers.
"Come in!" She said, clearing her throat.
The door opened and there stood her assistant, Karen. Stevie looked at the female, knowing exactly what she was going to say.
"Mick is here and is waiting in the den." The assistant said, to which Stevie nodded and got up from her chair.
She took one look back at the drawer and sighed, leaving the room and going to the den to meet with Mick.
***
"Ah, yes, there's the lady of the hour. Hello Ms. Nicks, good to see you." Mick said, smiling a bit as he stood up as she entered the den.
Stevie let out a forced chuckle, taking the seat across from the taller British male. Mick noticed her tense nature as he sat down in the other seat.
"I'm sorry I couldn't get here sooner. I was busy with some stuff regarding the tour." Mick said, apologetically.
Stevie gave a subtle nod towards him but didn't look up at him, "That's quite alright."
"So, what is this meeting about?" Mick asked, looking at Stevie who was fidgeting with her hands.
"It's about our current situation..." She replied rather bluntly.
"What current situation?" Mick was quite confused by what she meant.
Stevie let out a frustrated sigh, "Are you going to make me spell it out?"
Mick studied her and thought for a moment, then he snapped his fingers, "You're upset about the set list for the farewell tour?"
Stevie shook her head and remained silent, wanting him to keep guessing.
"You're upset because of the farewell tour in general?" Mick asked.
Stevie gave a 'so-so' hand-motion, telling him that he was somewhat on the right track.
"Well, that's quite understandable, I'm upset about it too. It feels like we've been doing this for only a few..." Mick began to say before being cut off by Stevie.
"I want Lindsey out." She blurted out.
Mick stopped talking and remained silent after she said that. He sat there and just took it all in, before finally clearing his throat.
"Now, that's a dangerous request Stevie..." He warned, "The fans won't really like that, considering it's the farewell tour."
"Bullshit. You know it's not going to be the farewell tour. The tour we had back in 1990 was marketed as the farewell tour, then The Dance tour was, and every tour after that. We know it's not going to be the final one." Stevie said, still being completely frustrated.
"Stevie, I don't think I can honor that request at this time. Lindsey and you were a package deal, the fans love the chemistry..." Mick said, shaking his head.
"Mick, you have two options." Stevie stated, getting right to the point, "It's either he goes or I go..."
"You don't mean that..." Mick replied.
"Yes I do. I need to get away from him and those are the only two ways..." Stevie explained.
"No, you could always do a solo tour and we'll put off the Mac tour until that's over." Mick said.
Stevie shook her head, "No, I want to do a Fleetwood Mac tour but I don't want Lindsey around."
Mick was getting more frustrated as time passed, "What did he do that angered you this much?"
Stevie looked at Mick, she was speechless because she didn't know exactly what Lindsey had done but she knew he had to have done something, right?
"See, there was nothing that was done, so the answer is no." Mick replied as he began getting up.
The tall, British male walked to the door as Stevie followed close behind.
Stevie called out to him as he opened the door to the outside, "Mick, I'm warning you. If you don't get him out, I'll never tour with Mac again."
Mick stopped in his tracks and turned around, "I'll think about it..." That was all he said as the door closed behind him on his way out.
....
A/N: Well, that's the end of that chapter. Stevie wants Lindsey out but she's not too sure as to why she wants him gone. I know that this chapter isn't that great either, just like the first chapter, and I'm sorry about that. The story will (hopefully) get better. Also, idk if anyone else saw but Lindsey just had surgery (not too long ago) and it damaged his vocal chords, hopefully it's only temporary though. Either way, I'll see you in the next chapter!
