Three words

Harrison sat in the living room of Tom's apartment with Jacob, Zendaya and Laura as we did the cast's weekly movie marathon night. Tom and I stood behind them in the kitchen, preparing the snacks for the hours ahead.

"What you got there?" Tom asked, coming up behind me and placing his hands on my waist, as well as his chin on my shoulder. I gulped, a blush creeping onto my cheeks as I tried to ignore the butterflies in my stomach.

"U-um, this is the salted popcorn, I added a little bit of melted butter because I know that the Americans are weird and so like that." I chuckled nervously. Tom's eyebrows furrowed as he moved to stand next to me, one hand moving to my lower back as he looked at me.

"You okay, darling? You look a little...flushed." He spoke, a hint of concern in his eyes.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine, just, um...hot." I nodded.

"Yes, you are." Tom mumbled under his breath as he moved away to grab another bowl. I couldn't help but bite my lip and smile at the comment that he clearly hadn't intended on me hearing.

"Hey." Tom spoke as he appeared next to me again. I gulped as he gently hooked his index finger under my chin and lifted my face to look at him, his spare hand on my waist being used to pull me into his body.

"You know that you can tell me anything, right?" he asked, our faces so close that I could feel his breath fanning across my face.

"Course, Tom. Seriously, I-I'm fine. Mainly just sad that it's mine and Haz's last night here." I sighed. Tom returned it and nodded, briefly and subtly looking at my lips. But I still noticed.

"I know, sweetheart. But I'm coming home in a couple of months, I'll be back before you know it." He smiled, reassuring me. I couldn't help but return it, the stunning man's mood infectious, especially because of the way that he was holding me.

"Guys, is the-woah, what have I walked in on?" Tom and I both looked at the gap in the counters to see Zendaya leaning against them, smirking her ass off.

"What do you mean?" Tom chuckled as he grabbed the bowl full of crisps and started to walk towards her, making me sigh quietly.

"Don't act innocent, Holland, I saw the way that you were holding her." Zendaya nodded, making Tom chuckle and shake his head, popping a crisp into his mouth as he left the kitchen and headed towards the sofas. Zendaya looked back at me and smirked, a sigh leaving my lips as I grabbed the popcorn bowl and walked towards her.

"So, exactly how close were you to kissing him?" she teased quietly.

"It's not like that, Z." I lied.

"Sure it isn't, girl." She smirked, making me roll my eyes playfully as she swung her arm over my shoulder and led us back into the living room.

"Alright, we have sour cream and chive crisps for the normal British people who actually have taste buds, and then we have salted and buttered popcorn for the weird Americans who just lather everything in butter." Tom chuckled, making Jacob, Zendaya and Laura whine in protest as Harrison and I laughed.

"Yeah, well, at least we don't pronounce croissant as quackson." Jacob teased back, Tom smiling and shaking his head as we put the snack bowls down on the coffee table and Zendaya and Tom sat on the sofa.

"Actually, no, I have to defend Tom on this, he says croissant how every other British person says it." I nodded, instinctively taking a seat on Tom's lap and letting his arm curl around my waist whilst the other hand rested on my thigh, Tessa settling at the base of the sofa where Tom and I were sat.

"Oh my god! You say quackson too!" Laura exclaimed, making us all laugh.

"That's because that's how you say it!" Harrison retaliated, all of us laughing more.

"Alright, alright, let's put our different nationalities aside for tonight because we're watching, drum roll, please...Spiderman, homecoming." Tom announced proudly.

"Tom, are you incapable of picking a movie that you're not in?" Jacob teased.

"Guess you'll have to wait until next movie night to find out." He smirked as he pressed "play", giving me a small smile as he pulled me further against his body.

"Alright, party's over." Tom spoke, pausing the end of the movie as Zendaya, Laura and Jacob started to get ready to go.

"I can't believe that this is it for a while." I sighed, pouting as I stood up to say goodbye to them.

"I know. But keep in touch until we next see you, okay, babe?" Zendaya asked.

"Course." I nodded, hugging her before moving onto Laura and Jacob.

"See you guys, later." Tom smiled as they opened the door and left his apartment.

"Alright, I'm going to turn in too, I still have packing to do for tomorrow morning." Harrison nodded as he kissed my forehead.

"Okay, mate, night." Tom replied. Harrison gave us one last brief wave as he walked down the hallway and disappeared into his room, leaving Tom and I alone as Tessa followed after Harrison.

"That was fun." I chuckled as Tom started to collect up the bowls into one stack.

"It was." He smiled. I returned it hesitantly, nervously twiddling my fingers.

"Tom, can I...can I ask for something?" I gulped. He looked at me, his eyebrows furrowing as he straightened up and walked towards me.

"Sure. You okay?" he chuckled.

"Yeah, I just, um...I thought that since this is our last night together for a while that we could...erm...sleep together..." I mumbled, looking up at him timidly. But all of my nerves disappeared as a smile curled onto his lips.

"I'd love that, darling." He smiled, making me return it. Suddenly, he swiped my legs from underneath me, picking me up bridal style as I squealed.

"Tom, I can walk, you know!" I laughed as he started to carry me through his apartment and to his bedroom.

"I know, but I only have twelve hours left to hold you, and you better believe that I'm going to use every second of it." He nodded, looking at me with a gentle smile. I returned it, biting my lip as I rested my head in his neck and let him carry me to his bedroom.

Tom's P.O.V

Tom's eyes fluttered open as he heard his phone buzzing on the bedside table. He rolled over as much as he could with Y/N asleep on his arm and squinted as the sunlight streamed through his bedroom windows. He looked at his phone, the taunting word "alarm" making it buzz frantically against the wood of the table. He quickly grabbed it and turned it off, not wanting to wake the sleeping angel next to him. After all, in mere hours, he'd be alone in the apartment again, bard Tessa of course, and his bed would once again be cold. He was going to cherish the remaining moments that he had with Y/N. He rolled over to face her again, a small smile occupying his lips as he looked at her sleeping form. God, she's beautiful, Tom thought as he gently leant his hand up and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. It had taken everything in Tom not to confess his feelings for Y/N yet, but he had no way of knowing if she felt the same, and he'd be damned if he ruined their friendship over the small chance that she loved him back. That being said, he could imagine nothing better than being able to fall asleep in each other's arms, and then wake up the exact same way, every day. Tom wanted nothing more than to be able to kiss and hug her all day long and be able to beat the shit out of any guy who tried to pick her up at the bar. Maybe the reward was worth the risk. Then again, the potential consequences of losing Y/N due to ill-thought-through-confessions definitely weren't worth the risk. Tom gulped, his mind still racing as Y/N's eyes slowly started to flutter open.

Y/N's P.O.V

Harrison, Tom and I sat in the airport terminal, waiting for our flight to be announced. I lay my head on Tom's shoulder, his head rested on top of mine as we tried to savour every moment that we still had together.

"So, what do you guys want to do the next time you come over?" Tom asked, looking between Harrison and I.

"Maybe we could come over when you're off for a while and do a road trip across America." Harrison nodded.

"Oh, that'd be awesome. Go to California, Florida-oh, New York City!" I squealed, sitting up and making the boys chuckle at me.

"Sounds like the perfect plan." Tom nodded, smiling at me as he rubbed his hand up and down the small of my back.

"Flight 63A2P9, to Gatwick, London, is boarding now." A voice over the intercom sounded. My smile immediately dipped, and I sighed as the three of us looked at each other.

"That's us, mate." Harrison sighed, giving me a sympathetic smile as he put his backpack on. I nodded and gulped, Tom and I standing up and looking at each other.

"I guess this is it then, for a while." I nodded, looking up at Tom through increasingly watery eyes. He sighed and nodded, his arms curling around my waist as he subtly looked at my lips.

"Harrison will take care of you." He nodded.

"No, he won't. He'll be there for me, I can take care of myself." I chuckled.

"Yeah, you can." Tom smiled before hugging me. I returned it, wrapping my arms around his neck as he buried his face into the crook of mine. I closed my eyes, trying to memorise the feeling of him holding me. We started to pull apart, but Tom stopped me, making me gulp as our lips were only an inch apart. He looked between my lips and my eyes, me doing the same to him.

"Is there anything else you need to say?" I whispered, mentally begging him to utter the three words that I wanted to hear from him so badly. He gulped, his gaze returning to my eyes.

"I, um...I...I hope you guys get home safely." He nodded. I bit my lip, trying to stop tears from falling as I forced a smile onto my lips.

"Thanks." I whispered before leaning up and kissing his cheek. I let it linger, making Tom lean into it before I pulled away and left his arms. He sighed, giving me a small smile as I walked back to Harrison.

"Call me when you get home so that I know you got there safely, yeah?" Tom asked as we started to wheel our bags towards the gate.

"Will do, mate. See you soon." Harrison nodded. I looked at Tom, biting my lip as he returned the gaze. He kissed the air in front of him, making me smile as I knew that the small action was for me. I returned it, making Tom smile before Harrison and I walked through the gate, and out of Tom's sight.
