"(Y/n)," the General called, "We have a mission for you."

(Y/n) turned away from the holo-computer, nervously approaching General Leia Skywalker. She was legendary for many different reasons. She was intimidating and welcoming at the same time.

The General pointed at a screen full of schematics for a ship. (Y/n) quickly skimmed them over. It looked like some kind of ship made to be just a weapon, with no other functions.

"If this ship is completed then it will devastate our efforts. We need you to get inside and learn as much as you can about it."

"Yes General."

"One more thing," General Leia looked past (Y/n), "Elsa, just the girl I needed. You and (Y/n) will be going on this mission together."

(Y/n) felt her breath hitch. She turned and made eye contact with the girl in question. God, she was beautiful.

Elsa turned away from her sister, Anna, and have (Y/n) a bright smile. (Y/n)'s heart skipped a beat.

Elsa and Anna joined the rebellion a few years ago when their kingdom had been taken over by the First Order, their parents killed in the attack. Since then, both of them had proven themselves more than capable of fighting for the cause.

The thing that drew (Y/n) to Elsa even more than how beautiful she was, was the fact that she had ice powers. No one in the rebellion really knew where they came from because Elsa and Anna didn't know. It was one of those mysteries, much like The Force.

"(Y/n) will fill you in on the way Elsa, now off you go."

As (Y/n) turned away from the General she saw a small smirk on the woman's lips. She wondered absently if she did this on purpose.

(Y/n) and Elsa left the base almost immediately, bringing only a few of their belongings along. SInce it was covert, they wouldn't be able to have much with them.

Aboard the ship they set course for the base, trusting autopilot to get them there safely.

"What do we do while we wait?" Elsa asked.

(Y/n) shrugged, "Contemplate out place in the universe?"

The two shared a look before they started laughing. The current atmosphere was a nice change from the seriousness of the rebel base.

"What are you gonna do when this is all over?" Elsa questioned.

(Y/n) sighed, glancing out the window, "Try to have a normal life. What about you?"

"Well once I have my kingdom back I'll be a queen again. I'll have to find someone to marry..."

Elsa trailed off, her nose scrunching up.

"Yeah, you'll have to find a king somewhere," (Y/n) stared out at space, not wanting to look at the woman she loved when she was talking about marrying a man.

"Actually..." Elsa seemed hesitant, "I'm more interest in finding a queen to rule with."

(Y/n)'s heart soared. She turned away from the window, ready to speak when the counsel beeped.

"We're approaching. I'll raise the shields and land in the forest near construction," (Y/n) took control of the ship, expertly evading the First Order sensors and landing in the forest.

"Let's find a patrol and get uniforms from them," Elsa suggested.

"Good idea," (Y/n) nodded.

The two left the ship, making sure it was out of sight before they continued.

It was a solid ten minutes before they found a two person patrol. The First Order prided themselves on safety in numbers it seemed.

When they did find a group, (Y/n) stunned them and pulled them into the brush. The two put on their uniforms, facing away from each other as they changed.

(Y/n) held up her blaster, shooting the clones with no hesitation.

"What was that for?" Elsa hissed.

"We can't risk them revealing us," (Y/n) simply stated. She began to walk away, but noticed Elsa wasn't following, "All your time with the rebellion and you aren't used to killing people?"

"I don't like killing people," Elsa explained, "It just reminds me how dangerous I can be with my powers."

"I don't think your powers are dangerous," (Y/n) gave Elsa a small smile, "I think they're amazing."

(Y/n) could see Elsa's pale cheeks flush before the blonde put her helmet on. (Y/n) followed suit, making sure her hair would stay out of her eyes before she pulled it on entirely.

"It smells like sweat in here," (Y/n) groaned.

"Complain later, if we don't get to the base people will be suspicious."

The two trudged through the thick forest back to the base. With the clunky armor it was a bit difficult, sparking a conversation about why Clone armor was made like it was.

"ES-3972, HP-5618. Report."

"No activity in the main area ma'am," (Y/n) deepened her voice, pleasantly surprised to find there was already a modifier in the suit.

"Good, you are dismissed."

(Y/n) and Elsa turned and quickly began to walk away, ready to start their mission officially.

After a month of gathering information and avoiding as many high up officials as possible, Elsa and (Y/n) were practically joined a the hip. It worked in their favor because their clones usually had duties together, but it also increased (Y/n)'s feelings. So it was more of a win-lose situation than anything else.

It was after the two had gathered Everything they thought they would be able to get, (Y/n) received a transmission from General Leia, informing her that they had to return due to a new set of plans and they needed the information they had.

"A-L-8-7-6-3, you are required at command," (Y/n) approached one of the two guards stationed at the bay, nodding at them when they walked away.

(Y/n) waited until they were gone completely until she turned to the other guard.

"We've been called back. The Resistance has some new plans and they need the information we have as soon as possible."

Elsa pulled off her helmet, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Good, I've missed Anna like crazy."

(Y/n) pulled off her helmet as well, relishing the fresh air for a few moments, as she knew she would have to put it back on so they could get out.

"Master Ren is arriving, clear out," Captain Phasma's voice rang throughout the hallway from the one adjacent.

(Y/n) and Elsa quickly put their helmets back on, standing next to each other as Phasma walked towards them.

"Master Ren is here to see how construction is going, step aside," Phasma ordered.

(Y/n) and Elsa stepped away from each other. Ren passed through the doors, Phasma close behind him. The two heard his footsteps pause, and there was a small whisper, before he began walking away.

Phasma walked back through the doors, facing Elsa and (Y/n), "Remove your helmets."

(Y/n) and Elsa looked at each other. (Y/n) drew her blaster, shooting Phasma in the shoulder. The two began to run down the hallway, not knowing where to go. They stopped and quickly made a turn when they spotted another pair of clones walking down the hallway.

"Stop them!" Phasma yelled.

(Y/n) geared up her blaster, shooting rapidly down the hallway at all of the approaching clones.

"Find a way out!" (Y/n) yelled to Elsa, "I can handle this!"

Out of the corner of her eye (Y/n) could see Elsa frantically searching the corridor around them. (Y/n) shot off a few more terms, hearing the tell-tale sign of a battalion of clones stomping down the hallway.

"Any minute now!" (Y/n) yelled, her desperation obvious in her voice.

"I got it," Elsa pulled down a slab, revealing a chute, "I'm pretty sure it's the garbage chute."

"First the helmets now a garbage chute," (Y/n) sighed, "You go down first, I'll be right after you."

"I'm not going without knowing you're safe," Elsa shook her head.

"If you don't go first neither of us are going to make it. Go!"

Elsa hesitantly slipped inside of the chute, disappearing from sight. (Y/n) shot off her blaster a few more times before she jumped into the chute as well.

It was dark for a few moments before she landed in a large pile of trash. The girl groaned at the smell, struggling to stand in the uneven terrain.

"The door is struck," Elsa tugged at the door a few times, "The handle isn't working."

(Y/n) saw something moving among the trash and she took a few steps back, holding up her blaster, "Well figure something out because I don't think we're alone here."

An eye popped up from the trash. (Y/n) jumped, shooting rapidly at the ground around them. There was a few groaning sounds, some more movement, and then, silence.

"Well that crisis was averted easily," (Y/n) mumbled, "Any luck on the door?"

"None. Can you help me?"

Whirrr

The walls around the two began to close in. Every hour the trash was crushed and sent out, so it must have been on the mark.

"Crap," (Y/n) shouted, frantically looking around for anything they could use to stop the doors from closing. There was nothing, just normal trash, "Crap crap crap."

"Here, start working on the door," Elsa stepped away, "I'll figure something out."

(Y/n) began tugging at the rusted handle of the door. Hearing a few small groans of protest that spurred her on. But when she looked up and saw how close the doors were, a new wave of panic spread through her.

"Listen, Elsa, if we don't make, I really need you to know something."

"(Y/n)-"

"No, look, I always had a crush on you at the base, and in this past month, since we've been working together and getting to know each other I want you to know that I really really like you-"

"(Y/n)-"

"Elsa I think I'm in love with you!"

"(Y/n)," (Y/n) finally looked away from the door and at Elsa, "It's okay, I stopped the doors."

(Y/n) looked to her sides and sure enough, the doors were frozen solid. Elsa's clone uniform gloves were off as well, her small hands glowing with the remnants of her powers.

"Oh," (Y/n) flushed, "I- I-'m sorry. You can ignore what I said."

Elsa walked to the door, a smile on her lips. She placed one of her hands on the door handle, freezing it until it fell off completely. The door swung open, revealing the open forest.

"I don't want to forget," Elsa stated, "You make me feel normal. Not like a queen, not like someone with powers. With you I can be myself. That's what I want- That's what I need."

(Y/n) let out a relieved breath. Elsa held out her hand and (Y/n) took it, intertwining their fingers. The queen's hand was warmer than (Y/n) would have imagined.

Together, the two ran through the forest back to their ship. It was still safely hidden and undetected. Luck had been on their side it seemed.

When the two entered they sat down and opened a com link with the home base, entering the coordinates so they could use autopilot on the way back.

"Good job girls. I hope this mission has achieved what we've all been hoping for."

(Y/n) and Elsa shared a look, "What do you mean General?"

"Oh come on. I may be old but I recognize love when I see it. I was once like you two, believe it or not. Now have a safe journey back."

"Thank you General."

The com shut off and the two shared a laugh over the situation. When they were sittin back in their seats, wiping the tears from their eyes, (Y/n) looked over.

"Do you think the base placed bets?"

"Oh absolutely, I bet Anna placed the highest bet."

"She was probably running the whole thing," (Y/n) chuckled.

"With what she's done in the past, I wouldn't put it past her."
