"Hey Y/n, you gonna watch the fireworks with us?" Enoch said as he ran to you.

"What? Uh yeah totally, meet at 10 right?" His question made you zone back in.

"Yeah" he said as he looked you up and down "okay spill it, what's wrong?"

"What why would you-" you pause and take a deep breath "it's stupid"

"Tell me, I love stupid things"

"Well it's just that.... I thought that by now I'd have someone that I could I don't know... do the New Years kiss with? It sounds really stupid " you say a bit deflated from having to admit that.

Enoch pauses before speaking "your right it does sound a bit stupid"

"Oh wow thanks E" you say playfully as you look up

"Your welcome babes" he says just as playfully. "I'll see you tonight okay"

"Okay"

-Time skip-

Ring... ring... ring-

"Hello?" You say answering the phone.

"Hey it's millard, where are you?"

"I'm just walking in, I think I see you guys"

He turns around and starts to wave which causes you to wave back. You hang up and run up to them.

"Hey guys"

Fireworks start and you watch them Enoch looks at you and you look at him he grabs your chin and kisses you.

All you can hear are the popping of fireworks and all you can feel is complete happiness. He deepens the kiss a little before pulling away.

"I lied earlier when I said it sounded stupid" he whispered loud enough for me to hear

"Yeah I kinda got that" I said breathlessly. We stared at eachother for a moment before I said "thank you" he laughed and looked at the fireworks.

"You're welcome"
