Arguments

"That's not fair!" Paul heard Ringo yell upstairs as he watched TV. More sounds of yells and whining followed. Paul ignored it for a while, but when he heard crashes and thumps, he instantly turned off the TV and jogged upstairs.

In the hallway, he found Ringo huddled in a corner, sucking his thumb, with blood dribbling down his cheek. He was staring worriedly at John and George, who were attacking each other in the middle of the floor, fists and feet flying and they rolled around.

Paul took in the situation quickly, and pulled John up, holding him around his waist he struggled to reach George. George stood up near Ringo, sporting his famous Harrison glare and clenching his fists by his side.

Paul felt John relax, and his breathing slowed down. George sat next down to Ringo and put an arm around his shoulder. Paul decided it was safe to release John.

"Well, what happened?" Paul demanded loudly - hands on hips - looking between John and George. There was silence for a while, apart from Ringo sniffing.

"John found out Ringo had a diary, and started to read out personal stuff Ringo had wrote," George explained as Ringo's face went bright red. "He tried to stop him, but he didn't and read out something that he really, really shouldn't have. Ringo pushed John but he scratched him and made him cry. I was mad and started fighting John and...you know..."

John bit his lip nervously, as it sunk in how horrid he had been to Ringo, who had always been nice to him. He hung his head in shame and blinked back tears.

"George, help Ringo's cut, and I'll talk to John," Paul ordered them, and once George and Ringo had left, John broke down into tears. Paul put an arm around him and steered him into the bedroom, where John cried on his chest as they sat on the edge of the bed.

"I - I'm so sorry," John sniffed, "I wasn't trying to be mean; I just wanted a laugh. I didn't know everything would get so out of hand."

"What was it that you read?" Paul pleaded it wouldn't be too bad.

"It was the sleepover at mine," John lifted his head off Paul's chest, and looked down at his hands. "Ringo wet the bed because of the horror movie, and thought George was a killer in the night, but it was just his stomach growling," John and Paul allowed themselves to smile at this. "Anyway, Ringo cried and George told him to sleep with him, as his bed was wet. Ringo fell asleep on George."

Paul thought this was adorable, but could see why Ringo was embarrassed, and why George stuck up for him.

"Look, I'm sure if you just apologise to them, and never mention it again, they'll forgive you," Paul told John logically.

"Can you come with me?" John asked shyly.

"Sure," Paul smiled as they went downstairs to the kitchen, where they were greeted with glares.

"Look, I'm really sorry that I made you feel bad Ringo," John apologised sincerely, "and I'm sorry I fought with you George. From now on, I'll respect everyone's privacy, because I know how mean it is."

"It's okay John," Ringo replied quietly, smiling. "Everyone makes mistakes."

George sighed and looked into John's eyes. He knew that John was soft on the inside, and would never forgive himself if George didn't.

"Of course I forgive you, you idiot," George gave a crooked smile and elbowed John. John smirked in return, and elbowed him back.
