The sun rested over the horizon and patches lay sleeping on her cozy little bed of cotton. White had glanced at her a few times in regret, but tried to block out the thought that she would miss her sister so. The she-cat had gathered up her courage and decided it was finally time to go.
   She looked from the slightly open window, to her housefolk tidying up and getting ready to sleep, to her sister, and sighed. If she was going to do it, she was going to do it now. 'I can do this...' She thought sorrowfully. She got up and slowly proceeded through the open window in a grievous manner. "See ya, sis..." She muttered as her pads hit the cold hard dirt right outside the window.
   She glanced around in wonder of all the things the setting sun brought to life. The fireflies, the frogs, the coolness of night. She felt as if it were the right thing to do, to get to know these things. She had wanted nothing more than to better understand the things around her, like the last few crumpled leaves that winter had brought down off of their perch on the high branches of the oak, birch, maple, and countless other deciduous trees in the area.
   She almost regretted this for a split second, as she felt something cold on her nose, followed by the sight of dozens, hundreds, no, thousands of white flakes falling around her. She stared up in wonder at the sky, as it cried its beautiful frozen tears. She almost forgot that winter was creeping in on her, and it seemed it had finally hit.
   She contemplated going back inside for the night, but soon realized she would have a hard time getting around in the morning, so she chose to advance to underneath the trees ahead of her. She jumped and clawed her way up the nearest tree, and sat. Her housefolk and her sister were far behind her at this point, both physically and emotionally, and she took that opportunity to close her eyes and let her worries disappear. And off she was, into her dreamland once again...

Ok guys, so most of my chapters should be about this long, that being said, about... Say 300-700 words. That also means there will probably be alot of chapters in this story to get to the end. I may upload more than one chapter a day as well, so stay tuned! Also, i will be supplying every chapter from now on with a picture of what is happening.
