Merlin POV

I wiped my eyes and slowly stood up from the ground. I began to hear the sound of the Knights and Arthur awakening. There was a constant pounding in my head from where i hit the tree.

"Merlin! Are you alright?" asked Gwaine

"Y-yeah, you're all more important than me! Does anyone have any serious injuries that need treating?" i questioned, briskly changing the subject. I looked at Arthur and he averted his eyes away from me. Why was he acting so strangely around me?

The earth began to shake and the ground rejoined. The knights shared a quizical look but i kept my head down. Now was not the time to wollow in self pity, you have a job as a physician to treat your patients. I tried to put all the troubles behind me.

I walked over to all of the knights and treated their wounds, it was mainly head injuries, a few bruises and concussion. I walked over to Arthur and took another deep breath.

"Do you have any injuries you would like me to treat Sire?" i questioned. He looked up at me, his eyes glistening and then he turned away.

"Arthur, what's wrong?" i asked. He ignored me and kept walking. I grabbed his arm

"Arthur, what's wrong? Have i done anything? Please, talk to me!" i pleaded.

He ripped his arm out of my hand and whispered in my ear spitefully

"You're a sorceror, and a wolf. You lied to me and i will never forgive you."

I stood stock still, tears streamed out of my eyes and every injury hurt, but what hurt the most was my heart.

"Merlin! What's wrong? What did Arthur say to you?" Lancelot asked

"He-he s-saw we wolf out Lancelot. He saw me kill all those people ...he saw me use my magic! I'm a dead man walking for sure." i sobbed.

"If he wanted to kill you, he would have done it by now, Merlin! It's just a shock, maybe he'll be fine." reassured Lancelot.

"I very much doubt that." i whispered and wished that the ground would just swallow me up.

I stood up but greeted with a wave of nausea.

"Merlin!" shouted Percival

The forest was spinning, dots danced in my eyes and my vision went blurry around the corners. I collapsed.

I realised, it's exactly a year since i published this book
*grabs party poppers and a hat and toots one of them annoying loud things*
