9. Batman? Doctor Who?
// Dean's POV
Dean heard a faint knock in his sleep.
Go away...
The knock got louder, causing him to awaken and fall off the couch with a loud thud. He quickly got up and ran towards the door.
"Coming!" He called.
Dean swung open the door and adjusted his glasses. Once he could see his eyes widened.
"Hey, neighbor." Castiel stated, leaning against the door frame, Gabriel holding his hand.
Dean blushed and opened the door a bit wider, trying to ruffle his hair out of the 'Hey I just woke up' state it was currently in.
What did he mean he was his neighbor? Castiel couldn't possibly be his neighbor!
He looked back up at Cas, his cheeks calming down from their blush.
Cas eyed his up and down before staring straight into Dean's eyes with the most serious expression ever. Then he took a deep breath, smirked and bit his lip as said,
"I didn't know you worked out Deanie." with a wink.
Dean looked down.
Oh crud.
He had forgotten to put his shirt back on. Dean blushed darkly and ran to hide behind the door.
"I-Is there anything you need, C- Castiel?" Dean asked, fiddling with his glasses.
Cas smiled and pulled Gabriel up into his arms.
"We just wanted to see who our new neighbors were. Right Gabe?" He said as he poked Gabriel's nose with his finger.
Gabriel looked over at Dean with a smile. and nodded before doing something with his hands.
Dean looked over at Cas questioningly.
"Oh, right. . .Gabby wants to know if Sam's here." Cas smiled.
Dean slowly nodded and opened the door wider again.
"Y-yes. . .he's sleeping, but please come in."
Castiel and Gabriel entered the Winchester household with crooked smiles plastered on their faces.
"I'll go and wake up Sammy if you'd like. . ." Dean said walking towards Sam's room. Gabriel nodded and jumped out of Cas' arms, following Dean.
After a few minutes, Dean walked back into the living room without either of the two boys.
Cas looked at him with concern.
"They're playing in Sam's room." Dean explained. Cas nodded. They were quiet for a while as the Doctor Who theme started playing from the tv.
DOO WEE OOO ~ ! *spinning TARDIS*
Dean had to try his hardest not to spin around the room with his arms flaring at his sides, singing the theme.
He couldn't do that in front of Cas. . .
After a few minutes, Cas cleared his throat and smirked.
"Don't you think you should put on a shirt, Winchester?"
Dean blushed darkly and ran off into his room, leaving Cas laughing to himself.
// Castiel's POV
Cas laughed to himself as Dean ran off into another room.
He looked around. There were a few boxes piled up in corners of the room. He looked towards the screen of the tv.
There was a man with spiked brown hair and a long dark trench coat. He was speaking to a woman with gingery hair.
Cas shook his head and chuckled.
Dean walked out of his room, wearing a loose Batman shirt.
"Really? Batman? Doctor Who?" Castiel asked sitting down. Dean blushed and laid back on the couch so his head was in Cas' lap.
"What are you here for Cas?" He asked pulling his glasses off and pinching the bridge of his nose.
Cas smiled and ruffled Dean's hair.
"You called me Cas!"
Dean blushed again and wrapped himself in the blanket next to him.
"I'm just here with Gabby to see who our new neighbors were! And now I can see that all the do is sit around in Batman shirts and sweatpants and watch Doctor Who all day." He smiled, taking Dean's glasses into his hands.
Dean pouted and kicked his legs.
"What's wrong with Batman and Doctor Who?!"
Cas laughed and put on Dean's glasses.
"Nothing! I was just messing with you. I mean like Batman and Doctor Who but I really like stuff like Lord Of The Rings or Sherlock. " He shrugged.
Deans eyes widened and he quickly sat up.
"You like Sherlock!? And Lord Of The Rings?! Ahh -- I mean, uh . . that's cool."
Cas stayed quiet, his mouth open in awe, before covering his mouth with his hands to try and muffle his laughter, his eyes wrinkling at their corners.
Dean snatched his glasses back and placed them on the bridge of his nose before fiddling with the bottom of his shirt, staring at Cas.
After a while of Cas' laughter, he finally settled down and kissed Dean's nose.
"You're too cute, Winchester."
Dean blushed darkly and turned away from him. He slowly turned to face the television screen and continued to watch his Doctor Who marathon.
