6. For Emergencies

//Castiel's POV

"See you later Winchester." Cas winked and walked away.

He smiled at Sam as we walked back to Gabe. Sam wandered off and went back with Dean.

"Come on Gabby."

Gabriel grabbed his hand and followed him out of the building.

Cas opened the door to their house and sighed. No one was home. At least not anymore.

He let Gabriel wander off into his room while Cas went into the kitchen to make them a snack.

He made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and set them on the table.

"Gabriel! I made you a snack!"

Gabe came running into the kitchen with a wide smile. He saw the sandwiches and clapped.

Cas smiled and took a bite of his.

Gabriel quickly gobbled his down and coughed.

"Whoa there kiddo. You need a drink. I'll go get you some milk." He said wandering over to the fridge.

He gave him a glass of milk and say back down.

Gabriel chugged it down and sighed.

Cas waited for Gabriel to finish before putting their plates away and sitting on the couch.

"Come here Gabby." Cas smiled.

Gabriel ran over to him and sat on his lap.

"Okay Gabby...how was school? I heard you got that Sam in your class."

Gabriel made a few hand signals and shrugged.

"Oh...I see. He like really wants to be your friend but you feel like he'll leave you?" Cas asked, his smile fading.

Gabriel slowly nodded and slumped into his older brother.

Cas rubbed his back and sighed.

"Don't worry Gabby...I'm sure he wont leave you...he seems like a really nice kid. I think this one's a keeper." He said kissing his head.

Gabriel looked up at him with a smile. He did a few other signals and smiled slightly.

"He's hanging out with the mystery kids? I hope that doesn't change anything. You know how Anderson is..."

Gabriel slowly nodded and yawned. He laid his head on Cas' shoulder and slowly fell asleep.

Castiel smiled and picked him up, taking him to his room.

He set him down on his bed and covered him up before going back into the living room.

He sighed and sat down. Cas pulled out his phone and checked for any calls or messages.

Nothing.

Cas groaned.

How did he let this guy mess around with him so quickly? He just bumped into the guy and boom! It happened! Cas' heart skipped a beat and he had called him beautiful. He had defended him against Alastair and he rarely did that.

And then Dean goes and talks and lets himself be flirted with when he meets Lisa.

Why was Cas letting himself get so wrapped up with that new kid?

It was probably just a crush. Nothing else. Dean wouldn't feel the same anyway.

Cas sighed and walking into his room to get a change of clothes.

He changed into a loose ACDC shirt and sweatpants before climbing into his bed.

He liked taking long naps after school. It relaxed him.

Cas checked his phone again and sighed.

Still nothing.

He closed his eyes and fell asleep.

// Dean's POV

Dean and Sammy stepped into their empty house.

They still had a few boxes to unpack.

"You want something to eat Sammy?" Dean asked facing his brother.

Sam shook his head and plopped onto the floor sighing.

"Hey...what's up little brother?" Dean asked.

"It's just...well Gabriel can't talk. I don't know why. Sherlock said he's mute. And he does theses things with his hands." Sam tried to explain.

"You mean sign language?"

Sam sat up and nodded.

"Yea that! Can you teach me? I wanna talk to him!"

Dean rubbed the back of his neck and took off his glasses.

"Sammy- I uh. I really don't know sign language..."

Sam looked down before smiling widely.

"Then take me to a teacher! I wanna learn!"

Dean pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed.

"Sammy- okay. Okay. I'll see what I can do." He said pulling his glasses back on.

Sam smiled and jumped up and ran over to Dean, hugging him.

Dean smiled and ruffled his brother's hair. Sam ran into his room and jumped in bed, falling asleep.

Dean looked into his little brother's room and smiled. He closed the door and sat at the dining table.

He looked down at his hand.

Castiel's number was still written on it.

Dean pulled out his phone.

He began to type the number in but stopped half way.

What was he even doing?

He couldn't be falling for him that quickly. He barely knew his last name.

They were two completely different people.

Never meant to be.

Like ever.

Just no.

Never.

It's just a crush Dean...no! Not even a crush! It was nothing! He was just too flirty.

Dean sighed and walked over to the sink.

He began to wash the number off his skin.

But he stopped.

He ran over and grabbed his phone. He typed in the last few numbers.

For emergencies.
