22. The Adventures of Sam and Gabriel Making Destiel Canon

They had been waiting forever.

Their dad still wasn't home but, that was normal.

It was 4:56

Four more minutes.

Just four...and they'd have some fun. Sam would finally be able to go to the carnival and Dean would be able to spend time with Cas outside if school...but not like that's important.

"Deeeaaaann! I'm so bored!" Sam whined.

Dean pursed his lips before getting up.

"Come on Sammy."

"Where are we going?" He asked, also standing.

"Well you know where they live so we're going so it'll seem faster." He explained.

Sam smiled widely before running out the door.

"Sam wait! Not so fast!" Dean called, running after him.

Sam ran past a single house before stopping at the next.

"Dean! You're so slow!" He whined and knocked on the door. At the same time he did, it swung open.

"Gabriel come on we don't have enough-- oh hello Sam!" Cas smiled.

Dean finally caught up and stood by his brother, smiling shyly at Cas.

"Cassie! Can we go now?! Please!" Sam begged. Castiel laughed and nodded, stepping outside of his house.

"Come on Gabby! We're gonna leave without you!" Sam yelled into the house.

Soon, a small child with a lollipop in his mouth ran out the door, smiling widely as he hugged Sam.

Dean smiled down at them, Cas did as well.

Gabriel and Sam walked ahead towards the impala-- which was clearly the better car seeing as-- well...Cas didn't have a car.

"Say thanks to Sam for me eh?" Cas whispered.

Dean looked over at Cas in confusion.

"Why?"

"Well no one really talked to Gabriel before you guys showed up so...thank you." He said looking over at Dean with a soft, sincere smile. Dean smiled in return and nodded.

"Well I'll be sure to tell him."

"So Deanie...you ready for some fun at that carnival?"

Dean chuckled and nodded in response. Castiel smiled and kissed his cheek.

"Good." He said before walking away towards the Impala.

This was sure going to be one hell of a night.

\\MAKING UP THE PLAN//

"So what do you have planned?" Sam whispered. Gabriel pulled out a small notebook he had brought along with him and began scribbling notes down.

WE CAN SMASH THEIR FACES TOGETHER UNTIL THEY KISS

Sam laughed and shook his head.

"It needs to be sneakier than that. . .so they wont know it was us!"

They looked outside the windows of the Impala, thinking about how to get their brothers together.

+++++

Multicolored lights filled the sky and drowned over the Impala. There was carnival music playing loudly so everyone knew what was going on.

Dean parked the car and in a flash the other three were waiting for him outside. Dean walked out of his car and adjusted his glasses. He had never really been to a carnival before so it might be fun.

Sam and Gabriel ran towards it.

"Sam! Wait!" Dean called after him, ready to follow but Cas stopped him with a smile.

"Don't worry. . .it's not that big. They can't get too far."

Dean slowly nodded but still followed them. Cas fished for something in his pocket until he pulled out a small box. From the box, he pulled a cigarette waved it around.

"So guess what?"

Dean turned around and glared at him.

"Cas! I thought I took the pack away from you!"

"Well you did." Cas chuckled. "But I mean there's a convenience store right around the corner so. . .you get the idea. Anyways, guess what?"

"What?" Dean asked, rolling his eyes.

"Ask me again why I do this."

"Why do you do that? I mean you know you could get lung cancer and ugh why am I even doing this?"

"Dean Winchester. . .You know they only hurt you if you light 'em" Cas stated with a smirk.

Dean glanced back at him, confused.

"What?"

"I never lit one." He explained, pulling out the cigar.

Dean turned over to face him, eye brows raised, waiting for a thorough explanation.

"It's a metaphor see." He started. "You put the killing thing right between your teeth. But you don't give it the power to kill you. A metaphor." He finished, placing the cigar between his teeth.

Dean didn't know how that was an accurate metaphor but he understood the reference, and it broke his heart.

"Why would you say that?" He sniffed. Castiel looked confused.

"Y-you've read the book?" He asked. Dean slowly nodded.

"Oh, I am so sorry!" He yelled, wrapping his arms around Dean in comfort.

+++++

Once they finally caught up to the little minions, they walked around playing different activities

While Sam and Gabriel played pop the balloon in one booth, Castiel was playing the one where you shoot the basketballs into the hoops. He ended up winning a small teddy bear. While on the other hand, Sam and Gabriel had won the biggest bear in the booth.

Cas walked up to Dean who was looking for what to do next and wrapped his arms around his waist from behind, the teddy bear in his hands.

"What is it now Castiel?"

"Aw, you're calling me by my full name! I said I was sorry! Here look!" He said standing in front of him, holding the teddy bear up to him.

"I have won you this small teddy bear as an apology!"

Dean looked at it, he slowly took it in his hands and smiled.

"Thank you Castiel. But you're still not forgiven for hurting my feels."

"Well at least I didn't quote the Reichenbach Fall." Cas mumbled under his breath before getting an idea.

He grabbed Dean's arm and the kids before walking over to the bumper cars.

"Wait what? N-no! No no no!" Dean protested.

Cas rolled his eyes and dragged him on towards the game, paying their tickets to the guy who always stands around the game.

The sat: Dean and Sam (Sam was driving for some reason) / Castiel and Gabriel (Cas was driving)

The game started and the all started driving, Dean giving Sammy a few pointers on the steering and such.

Castiel just kept ramming into them. So most of the time Dean sat there, clutching the teddy bear to his chest.

Once the game was over, Dean just sat there while everyone got off.

Sam and Gabriel were already running towards another game.

"Boys! Wait!" Cas called. The two little ones stopped and waited, still plotting out everything.

"Come on Dean. The game's over." Cas whispered. Dean looked up at him and slowly stood up.

But remember what a huge cluts he is? Yea well, while he was stepping out of the cart, he tripped and fell into Cas' arms.

A/N: it's a long chapter isn't it guys?

"Whoa there Dean. I mean I know I'm irresistible but please slow down." Cas teased.

Dean pushed away from him, blushing and followed Sam and Gabriel.

The two smaller boys just giggled and skipped away with their giant bear towards a ride that had these airplanes flying around, Dean right behind them.

Cas smiled to himself and stood there for a while. He thought to himself...he really liked Dean.

Like, at first he met him and it was just interest, he got to know him a little better and he had a crush...but now...well Castiel really--

"Cas! Come on!" Sam called.

Castiel shook his head to disperse of his thoughts and ran towards the ride.

Dean and Cas gave the boys the amount of tickets they needed and waited on a bench.

// Sam's POV

Sam looked at the long line in front of them. This was gonna take forever. And his legs were tired! He had been running from clowns the whole time.

There was carnival music still blasting through some speakers.

Sam looked up at them and an idea popped into his head.

"Gabriel!" He squealed. Gabriel quickly jumped and looked at him curiously.

"I have an idea!" He smiled widely while pointing to the speakers. Gabriel just looked at him weirdly.

"I'll explain when we get there." He sighed before looking behind him. A ton of people were lined up behind them so they managed to sneak away without their brothers seeing them.

They walked around the carnival until the reached a small booth where they worked the electrics. For some reason (thankfully), no one was in there so they were free to commence their plan.

So what are we doing? Gabriel wrote on a sheet of paper.

"Okay so we'll find some sappy music that will play and I guess something will happen." Sam shrugged. Now that he thought about it, it didn't seem that effective but hey-- they were five year olds and it seemed like a good idea at the time so what the heck right?

Sam grabbed a laptop and looked through a playlist of songs that would play. Most of them were happy carnival ones.

Gabriel called Sam over to his laptop which had a playlist with sappy songs that were for that one ride where the couple sits in a weird swan thing and go through a tunnel or something.

"Perfect!" Sam clapped his hands together and selected a random song.

They connected a few cables that were connected to the other laptop and let it play.

After a few moments the soft melody of a guitar started playing through the speakers.

"Gabriel I found out how we can see it all happen!" Sam called as he ran over to another section of the room full of screens that showed what happened from the view of the cameras.

They looked around the many screens until they found Cas and Dean sitting on a bench both clutching a teddy bear close to them.

Then there was singing.

Someone's always coming around here
Trailing some new kill...

Says I've seen your picture on a, hundred dollar bill...

What's a game of, chance to you
To him is one...

Of real skill.

So glad to meet you Angeles...

The two boys watched intently as Castiel glanced a few times at Dean and scooted closer.

// Castiel's POV

Picking up the ticket shows there's...
Money to be made

Go on, lose the gamble that's the
History of the trade...

Did you add up, all the cards left to play...
To zero...

And signed up with evil...

Angeles...

Castiel could hear Dean singing the song to himself...quieter than a whisper. So he scooted closer to him.

Don't start me...
Trying now...

Cause I'm all over it...

Angeles...

This is was it-- well hopefully. Cas would be able to see how Dean actually felt. Sure they had kissed but it was all sudden so-- yea.

"I can make you satisfied in everything you do...all your secret wishes could right now be coming true..." Dean sang to himself.

"Spend forever...with my poison arms...around you." Cas whispered into his ear. Dean quickly turned around, clearly startled but still he sang. So did Cas.

"No one's gonna fool around with us.

"No one's gonna fool around with us...

"So glad to meet you...Angeles..."

They sang the last part and the melody of the guitar became more clear as it ended.

Cas looked into Dean's eyes...such beautiful eyes...we all know they shouldn't be legal. Neither should he.

Dean was also looking into Castiel's gorgeous blue eyes.

They were inches apart...both leaning in, when the guitar abruptly stopped and was replaced by a screeching noise from the speakers.

But they couldn't care less...then someone spoke through the speakers.

"We are sorry to interrupt your night at the carnival but if you are missing two children please report to the electronics booth. Both around five years old. One with shaggy hair the other keeps eating candy. If these children belong to you please come and get them." A stern voice stated.

Dean and Cas' eyes widened.

"Sam?!"

"Gabriel?!"

"Shit!"

They both shot up and ran towards the said booth, dragging the teddy bears along with them.

+++++

"Boys!" They yelled in sync as they ran into the booth.

Sam and Gabriel sat in two chairs, swinging their legs around and when they saw their brothers they would not stop giggling.

They stood up and ran towards them.

"These your kids?" A man stated from behind a computer.

"Well I guess you could say that yes-- "

"Please take better care of them next time." He stated.

Dean nodded and walked out with Sam, Cas and Gabriel following them.

Outside, Cas and Dean waiting for an explanation from their brothers.

Gabriel was already making had signals to Cas.

"Well I mean we just wanted to make you happy..." Sam told Dean. "We wanted to see you happy because we know how much you guys like like each other."

Dean smiled and hugged him, telling him it was fine, so did Cas.

"Well. I think that's enough fun for today." Cas sighed and took Gabriel's hand, walking toward the Impala. Dean took Sam's hand and followed.

The younger boys sat in the back and quickly fell asleep.

"So did Sam tell you what they had planned?" Castiel asked Dean.

Dean nodded and began driving towards their neighborhood.

"Don't you think it was a bit...clever?" He asked.

Dean rolled his eyes and shrugged.

"Come on Dean! They technically almost succeeded. I would've gotten that kiss from you if it wasn't for those darn speakers."

Dean smiled and shook his head in amusement. He really did want to kiss Cas-- well he had but it was quick so yea.

+++++ A/N: sorry for so many of those "+" divider things. I hope you're enjoying!

They parked the car and stepped outside, walking towards Cas' house, a child in each of their arms.

"I guess I'll see you tomorrow then." Dean smiled.

Castiel nodded and kissed Dean's cheek before walking into his house and closing the door.

He set Gabriel on his bed with the giant bear and went to change into his pajamas.

A few hours later, Cas received a phone call from his relatives. They wanted to see him earlier. He needed to leave now.

Castiel quickly changed back into his regular clothes and ran over to Dean's house.

He had figured out where his room was and quickly found the window.

He knocked twice and waited. The curtain opened and there stood a very confused and tired older Winchester.

Dean opened the window and pocked his head out.

"Cas? What's wrong?" He whispered.

"Well Deanie, my family wants to see me earlier so I have to go now...I think you should wake up Sam so he can say bye to Gabriel."

Dean nodded and began to walk away.

"Dean! Wait!" Cas whisper yelled. Dean quickly ran back.

"What?"

"I need to tell you something."

"And that is...?"

Cas shuffled his feet and looked down.

"Get closer, it's a secret."

Dean rolled his eyes and reached closer to Cas, wondering what he needed to say.

"Yes?"

Castiel stayed quiet for a while before looking up and crashing his lips with Dean's.

Dean's eyes widened.

He's kissing me!

Well kiss him back stupid!

Dean closed his eyes and returned the kiss. It was a blissful moment they were both anticipating. It felt so right.

Cas pulled away after a while, biting his lip.

"See you in three days, Winchester." Cas whispered before running off.

Dean smiled widely and closed the window, tossing himself on his bed.

Castiel ran back into his house and woke up Gabriel. He told him they needed to leave and in a flash, he was running towards the Winchester household. But instead of a window, he knocked on the door.

And a very drunk John Winchester stood there.

Castiel quickly caught up to him and explained the situation to John.

John explained who he was and let them pass.

"Bye Gabe! I'll miss you." Sam sniffed as he hugged him.

Gabriel rolled his eyes in amusement and patted his back. He said his own good bye with his hands and the Novaks were gone. Since they didn't have a car, they took the bus because well Sam and Dean had to explain the whole thing about why they weren't home to their father, so they couldn't take them.

In the end, it was one of the best days ever. Little did the Winchester and Novaks knew, they wouldn't see each other for more than three days.

*HELLO GUYS! HOW DID YOU LIKE THAT?! GOOD? BAD? CLIFF HANGERY? WELL I HOPE YOU LIKED IT! THIS TOOK ME FOREVER BUT I FINISHED! SO YEA DESTIEL HAPPENED! THEY KISSED! AGAIN! CAS AND GABBY ARE ON THEIR FAMILY TRIP AND LIKE THAT ONE CHAPTER WAS CALLED (for the Winchesters) "Daddy's Home and It's All DOWN HILL From Here" so yes, it's all down hill.
