17. Stalls and Old Towns

*Why, hello there! Did you guys enjoy that last chapter? You know-- the one where they finally kissed? I hope you did! But like most fanfics, I can't go making it too happy for ya'll! Enjoy this chapter!*

// Dean's POV

He ran into the school and into one of the restroom stalls.

That did not just happen.

That couldn't have just happened.

Did it?

How could've that just happened?

He was the one who kissed me!

Yea but you gave him another one.

Dean sighed and stepped out of the stall. He walked to one of the sinks and took of his glasses before he splashed water on his face. This wasn't right. How could it be right? Cas probably went and kissed anyone who was that close to his face.

Besides, Dean didn't really feel anything for him. Not. . .yet anyways.

He sighed and put his glasses back on. He walked towards the door and reached for the knob when he heard it.

Alastair's voice. Getting closer to the door.

Panicked, Dean ran into one of the stalls and locked himself in. He pulled his feet up onto the toilet so he wouldn't be caught.

Shortly after, the door swung open and Alastair and his friends came in, all laughing about something someone said.

"Did you see the look on his face?" One of them laughed. Another highfived him and leaned against a wall.

"That was awesome, Alastair! The way you kept him stuck there! He wasn't even paying attention! That was the easiest thing ever!"

Alastair chuckled darkly and began to rinse his hands in the water.

Dean tried to slow down his breathing, but his heart was beating to fast it and it was making him panic.

When were they going to leave?

Dean took a risk and peeked through the edge of the door.

They were all sprawled out around the restroom. All in different spots. Some on the floor, and some on the sinks.

Looks like they're skipping. Damn it.

Dean sighed and thought about his chances survival.

He could just wait until class was over and the room was filled with students and he could slip out.

But class!

Or...he could take a risk and leave right now. Just walk out.

No...

Yes...

No...

No!

Dean sighed and stepped off the toilet. He held his breath and unlocked the stall door, sprinting towards the exit.

"Hey!" One of the boys yelled.

"Have you been spying on us?"

Dean ignored them and ran towards the door.

He reached for the handle and opened the door when a hand shut it close again.

Dean looked up. Alastair was glaring down at him.

"Answer the question. Were you spying on us?" He asked coldly.

Dean quickly shook his head.

"N-no! I was just in the restroom and you guys came in and I wanted to avoid trouble but then I couldn't skip class so I decided to leave. Please...I don't want any trouble."

Alastair smirked and pushed Dean into a wall.

"Well you shoulda left when you had the chance, cause now, you ain't going no where."

Dean looked down and closed his eyes. He quickly pushed Alastair out of the way and ran out the door.

He didn't turn back. He didn't want to turn back. Alastair was probably yelling about what just happened.

He just kept running. He knew he'd have to face Alastair about this some time, but right now he didn't care.

"Get back here!" He heard Alastair running after him. Behind him, more people followed.

His class was upstairs. That would take too long. They'd catch him.

He ran around a few corners, the running feet getting closer. He reached an exit and pushed the door open. He ran down the street and ran a different direction from his house...the last thing he needed was them finding out where he lived and getting to Sam.

"We'll get you! You have to come back some day!" He yelled after Dean.

Dean ran until he couldn't feel his legs and he still ran.

He reached a few run down buildings and started walking. He had never seen this part of town. Maybe he should go back...

He sighed and leaned against an old brick wall.

School wouldn't be over for another four hours.

He was going to miss his classes...

Dean sighed again and looked around.

This side of town was almost completely destroyed. Buildings were broken down and stone and gravel covered the floor. Everything was gray.

Dean started walking along a broken side walk, looking at each building. There was a bakery, craft store, market, stuff you'd find in a regular little town.

Someone tripped on a piece of stone behind him.

Dean quickly turned around but no one was there.

He started walking faster into the town.

Another stone was flipped.

And then there was a meow.

Dean turned around and noticed a cat walking across the street. It had orange fur.

He sighed in relief and kept walking, wondering where to go.
