Episode 1, Part 1

A/N: Okay, so I'll end up writing this sort of like a script/roleplay style of thing. It's gonna suck, but I'll have fun writing it XD... Also, today's special judge to be there with both me and BitchImHoodini is Weirdness4life Also, a key... *** is usually a time skip or a change in scenery, like a close up.

***

*The big Master Chef doors open, revealing multiple people flooding into the Master Chef kitchen. The youngest contestant being Bryce McQuaid who is 21 at the time of filming. Then the others come in following behind. The contestants all end up standing at their benches and are as follows, Bryce, Evan, Brock, Tyler, Jonathan, Ryan, Craig, Brian, David, Lui, Marcel, Anthony, Luke and Scotty*

***

Kyle: Welcome to the Master Chef Kitchen.

Selena: Now, you may notice that there's only two of us standing here and that's because on each episode, we'll have a guest judge. Some of these judges will stay on for more than one episode.

Kyle: Today's special judge is world class chef, Ryan Bartles... *Ryan enters through the door as the rest applaud as she's making her way towards us* Welcome my dear...

Ryan: Thanks, it's a pleasure...

Selena: Now, as you can see, you are all competing in the mystery box challenge. We'll only be tasting the three cook's dishes who look the greatest and look like they've incorporated a bunch of skills into them. So make them look good. If you lift your boxes guys, you can see we have a bunch of ingredients, but only one protein, that protein being chicken. You guys will have 60 minutes to make us a fabulous dish, with chicken being involved. Your 60 minutes starts... NOW!

*the guys begin making sure they have everything and begin running to the pantry to find more items and then they all rush back out to their stations*

Kyle: So, *turns to both Selena and Ryan* if you had this time, what would you make?

Ryan: I would make a Chicken Parmesan, with a side of slow roasted vegetables and maybe a side of mashed potatoes.

Selena: I would make just a lightly roasted chicken breast with a bed of vegetables. It may seem simple, but sometimes, simple is the best route to go when using a protein as delicate as chicken.

Kyle: Yeah, because the chefs have to be aware of the possibility of either having it completely undercooked and pink or having it completely over cooked and dried out. 10 minutes gone!

*Selena, Ryan and Kyle begin to walk towards the stations, checking on each chef and wondering what they're making* (A/N: Just a quick note about these, not every BBS member will be included during these close ups, just like the actual show)

***

Kyle: *stops at Bryce's station* So Bryce, the youngest competitor here, what are you making?

Bryce: *while cooking* Uh, I'm making a southern style crispy fried chicken. With a side of vegetables and potatoes.

Kyle: Okay, so you're going with your southern roots.

Bryce: *nods*

Kyle: So, what's this... *referring to a pot*

Bryce: Oh, that's the barbecue sauce for the chicken.

Kyle: *nods* Okay, good luck Bryce... *begins to walk to another chef*

***

Selena: *stops at Luke's station* So Luke, what are you making for us in this mystery box challenge?

Luke: Uh... I'm making a deep fried chicken steak.

Selena: Excuse me, what did you say?

Luke: A Deep fried chicken steak.

Selena: *kind of shocked* Oh, okay... And what's this? *grabs a spoon and dips it into the pot*

Luke: Oh, that's the gravy that's gonna go on top of the steak.

Selena: Okay, good luck Luke... *walks away*

***

Ryan: *stops in front of Ryan's (Ohm's) station* So Ryan... *giggles at the same name* what are you making for us?

Ohm: Well, I have a nice Chicken Corn Soup, that I'm trying to make.

Ryan: Have you ever made this dish before?

Ohm: Only one chef.

Ryan: So why are you trying it now, especially in the world's largest cooking competition?

Ohm: Well, I always like to take risks chef.

Ryan: Okay, good luck and I hope it works for you. *begins to walk away*

Ohm: Thank you chef...

***

Kyle: 30 Minutes remaining!

*all three of the judges regroup at their little platform they stand on*

Kyle: So, chicken, probably one of the most easiest proteins to cook. But also one of the most easiest to over cook too.

Selena: Yeah, you can not underestimate the cook. I mean, we don't wanna see it raw enough to still be living on the farm.

Ryan: *nods* Yeah, but we also don't want to have it to where it could be used as a piece of sand paper.

Kyle: Yeah, some of the cooks are doing excellent. Like Bryce, he's using his southern heritage for a fried chicken.

Selena: I saw Luke was doing a chicken steak, which I've never heard of.

Kyle: Well, from what I could see, it seems to be southern, which makes sense for him.

Ryan: Well, Ryan, is making Chicken Corn Soup.

Kyle: Oh, one of my favorites. He just has to be sure to have the right ratio of broth to soup, and chicken to the other ingredients.

***

Selena: 2 Minutes remaining! You better start plating!

*all of the chefs are plating, making sure every detail is important*

***

Kyle: Now, as usual, we will only be tasting the three best dishes we find here. *looks at everyone* The first cook has cooked one of my favorites, I can't wait to see how he did a twist on it. Ryan! Please bring your food up here. (A/N: Not every judge will have dialog for each dish, like on the actual show, they edit some of that stuff out)

*everyone claps as Ryan brings his food up to the little table that they set their food on*

Kyle: So, Ryan, what do we have here... *grabs a spoon and begins to dip it into the bowl*

Ohm: Well, I have prepared for you today a chicken corn soup, in it, I have chicken, corn, potatoes, a little bit of hard boiled egg, and some seasonings.

Kyle: *places the spoon down and nods* To be honest, that's pretty good. The seasoning is spot on, the chicken is moist, and there is a proper balance between ingredients and the broth. Good job...

Ohm: *smiles* Thank you chef.

*Kyle walks back and Selena comes to the spot and proceeds to taste it, with Ryan watching eagerly*

Selena: That's good. Kyle's right. Good combination of flavors.

*Selena walks back and Ryan tastes it, giving the same feed back as the others*

Ohm: Thank you chef... *walks to stand in front of the one station*

Selena: The next chef whose dish we want to try is *scans* Evan. Come on down here.

*Evan comes over and sets it down*

Selena: *grabs a knife and fork* So, Evan, what did you make here? *begins cutting into it*

Evan: I made a chicken cordon bleu. I encrusted the chicken in a bread coated pastry with cheese, and underneath I have included a cauliflower puree with a side of roasted vegetables.

Selena: *chewing and swallows* That's pretty good Evan. It's moist, the only thing I'd maybe add is a pinch or two more of salt.

Evan: Okay Chef...

Selena: But other than that, it's pretty good. *walks back to the section as Ryan walks up and does the same, then Evan walks to stand beside Ohm*

Ryan: Our last dish that we want to taste was prepared by Tyler. Get on down here big boy!

*applause as Tyler makes his way down*

Ryan: So Tyler, what have you made for us here?

Tyler: Well, I made a bacon wrapped, stuffed chicken, with a bed of collard greens.

Ryan: *begins to cut into it and pops it into her mouth, her face lighting up* Tyler... This is really good. Especially with the bacon wrapped around the outside of it. It gives it that salty flavor that I like and the smoky flavor too.

*the other two judges taste as well and give their feedback, then Tyler walks to where Evan and Ohm are standing*

Kyle: Three good dishes and three good chefs. The winner of this challenge will not be competing in the elimination challenge and will have another advantage.

*the three nod*

Selena: The winner of this first mystery box challenge is... *dramatic music* Ryan...

*the others clap, and Ohm stands there, kind of shocked*

***

Kyle: Ryan, please meet us in the pantry please.

*they all begin walking towards the pantry and stop, when Ryan, Kyle and Selena are standing behind a table*

Selena: So Ryan, not only do you not compete in the elimination challenge, but you get to know what the theme is and decide who, if anyone, you should save.

Kyle: That's right. Our theme is desserts.

Selena: Are you ready to watch Ryan?

Ohm: *nods* Yes chef.

*all of the chefs head out of the pantry*

***

*Ohm walks up to the balcony as the three judges come to their little stage*

Selena: So, as you can see, Ryan does not have to compete in this elimination challenge.

Kyle: Now, the rest of you will have 60 minutes to prepare your best dish during this challenge, because at least one of you will be leaving the Master Chef kitchen.

Ryan: So, the theme for tonights elimination challenge is desserts.

Selena: So, you guys will get 5 minutes in the pantry to get all the ingredients. Your 5 minutes begins... Now!

*All the chefs rush to the pantry to find the right ingredients they want*

Kyle: *turns to the two others* So, a dessert challenge. One of the hardest in my opinion.

Selena: Yeah, the guys all seem a little lost, I'm pretty sure most of the guys haven't made many desserts in their lives.

Kyle: *nods* Okay, so where would you even start?

Selena: Well, I would do a nice New York style cheesecake.

Ryan: See, I would do the same thing.

Kyle: *nods* Yeah, this is Master Chef, so we want to see some type of creativity, not just some boxed cake mix placed on a plate.

*all the contestants are seen in the pantry, grabbing their materials and coming back out and set their items down at their benches*

Ryan: Is everyone ready?

All: Yes!

Selena: Before we begin, Ohm gets another special advantage. He gets the ability to take one person up to the balcony right now. So, Ohm, we'll give you about two minutes to decide on who, if any one, you want up there.

Ohm: *nods and begins to think*

***

Kyle: Okay Ohm, it's been two minutes, do you have anyone you'd bring up before the challenge?

Ohm: No, chef.

All: *surprised*

Kyle: Okay, you heard him. 60 minutes, now!

*everyone begins cooking and mixing*

***

Ryan: *comes to Bryce's station* So, Bryce, are you a bit angry that you didn't get a save?

Bryce: *while he's mixing* Nope, I couldn't be happier, it just shows that he's not a team player.

Ryan: *nods* And team's are very important in the culinary world.

Bryce: Exactly. *smiles*

Ryan: Okay, I'll let you do this. Good luck, okay?

Bryce: Thanks chef.

***

Kyle: *comes to Marcel's station* So, Marcel, what are you making?

Marcel: Well, I'm sort of doing this crepe cake kind of thing.

Kyle: *nods* I think I've seen something like this before. So, what's gonna make your dessert stand out?

Marcel: The taste and colors.

Kyle: *nods* I hope it works for you. Good luck.

Marcel: Thanks.

***

Selena: *comes to Craig's station* So, Craig, what do you have for us today?

Craig: Well, I'm making a mixed berry pie.

Selena: Okay, what will make your pie stand out from the others that might be attempting to do a pie?

Craig: It'll have a little of the Ladd's charm.

Selena: *giggles* Okay, and who do you think is the weakest chef here?

Craig: Bryce.

Selena: Why?

Craig: He's the youngest, so that means he has the least experience.

Selena: Okay, I'll let you do what you do. Good luck.

Craig: Thanks.

***

*All the judges continue to talk to other people*

***

Jon: *sighs as he pops out a cake and it is completely soupy*

Selena: *from a far sees this* Oh my, look, Jon's cakes aren't even done.

Kyle: Does he have time for another one?

Selena: He's gonna be cutting it close...

***

Ryan: Three... Two... One... Hands in the air!

*All the contestants raise their hands as they're told to*

Selena: We'll be judging all of your dishes. And the contestant who prepared the worst one will be eliminated from our contest.

Kyle: Let's start off with... Lui. Please come down here.

Lui: *walks up with his plate*

Kyle: Okay, Mr. Calibre, please tell us what this is.

Lui: Well, it is a molten chocolate lava cake.

Kyle: So, when I cut into it, I should expect to see a chocolate river just ooze out?

Lui: Yes sir.

Kyle: *nods* Okay... *cuts into it but doesn't split it apart* The moment of truth... *splits it apart to reveal a bunch of chocolate oozing out*

Lui: *smiles and takes a breath of relief*

Kyle: *pops a bit into his mouth* Well, that's nice, nice texture, flavor, everything's good about this. Good job.

Lui: Thanks chef.

*The other two judges give their feedback*

***

Selena: Jon, bring your dish up front here.

Jon: *sort of sighs as he brings his up*

Selena: *looks at the dish, noticing the cake is a bit soupy* So, what did you make for us?

Jon: Well, it was suppose to be a cake, but I don't think I had it in long enough.

Selena: *nods and proceeds to try to cut into it* Yeah, I do think that it could've used a bit more time in the oven.

Jon: I just got frazzled.

Selena: *nods and proceeds to try his cake* Well, the flavor is there, but it's just such a shame.

Jon: *nods*

*The other two give their opinions*

***

Ryan: The next dish we want to taste is from Luke. Please come down here.

Luke: *makes his way down with his dish*

Ryan: So, Luke, what did you make?

Luke: I made some cupcakes. They have a shredded topping on top of a vanilla icing and vanilla sponge cake.

Ryan: Okay, let's see, the perfect cupcake has the right amount of cake and icing in each bite. *bites into it* Interesting, because this cupcake is perfect.

Luke: *smiles* Thank you chef.

*The other judges give their feedback*

***

Kyle: David, bring that down here please.

David: *walks with his dish, not too happy*

Kyle: So, what do we have here?

David: I made a key-lime pie. Or attempted to.

Kyle: *nods as he looks at the pie, noticing that it doesn't look solid* *tries to cut into it* Hmm... *pulls out a bowl from the little cart and proceeds to pour the pie into it because of how soupy it is* Well, Soups on.

*Everyone but David and the judges laugh a little*

Kyle: Well, damn... I'm very disappointed David...

***

Selena: Scotty, come down here.

Scotty: *comes down with his dish*

Selena: What did you make Scotty?

Scotty: I made a lemon pound cake with a cream cheese frosting.

Selena: *nods and cuts into it, she takes a bite and begins coughing because of how dry and gritty it is* Man... Thats dry.

Scotty: I think I left it in a little too long.

Selena: I'll say...

Scotty: Sorry chef...

***

*This continues on for a while, leaving the three judges who had performed the worst during the challenge, Jonathan, Scotty and David*

Kyle: So, you guys had a challenge of making a dessert that would be bakery quality, and some of you succeeded, such as Luke. Luke, you are safe, you can head up to the balcony.

Ryan: Lui, you are also safe, head up to the balcony.

*Both Lui and Luke head up to the balcony with Ohm*

Selena: However, there were three of you who didn't succeed tonight. The three chefs who could be leaving tonight are, Jonathan, Scotty and David, please, all three of you, come down here.

*All three of them come to the front and stand*

Kyle: All three of you performed the worst tonight, and I'm sad to say that at least one of you will be leaving the Masterchef Kitchen tonight.

***

TO BE CONTINUED

***

A/N: Well, there it is. You guys, the readers, will get to vote on which one of the three leave the Masterchef Kitchen. The voting will end on July 7th at 12PM EST (Eastern Standard Time). If there is a tie between two, then both choices will be eliminated.

A/N 2.0: I just wanted to apologize with how long this took me, I honestly had little to no motivation to write this. And I know this story probably sucks, so oh well. And I'm not even sure if I'll write another episode after the elimination. No one knows what the future holds. Anyways, I'll see you all soon, and bye for now!
