Garroth's POV
I opened my eyes slightly, trying to gauge where I was. I attempted to sit up. Key word being 'attempted.' As soon as I moved, the pain was unbearable. I felt as if I had been brought to the brink of death only to be shoved away from it and fall off a cliff of pain. Groaning, since my throat was too dry to speak or scream, I heard someone scramble to my side. I cracked my eyes open again to see a familiar head of hazel hair.
"How much does it hurt?" Laurance asked.
"A lot," I replied, my voice almost cracking.
"I'm sorry, I tried the best I could. I tried to clean your wounds but the Nether doesn't have any water." I nodded in reply. Laurance was quiet while he checked my wounds. "Do you want to try to sit up?" I nodded again. Slowly, painfully, I sat up with a lot of help from Laurance. I touched my stomach and winced. It hurt, and I was afraid to unwrap the makeshift bandages if it was anything like the wounds on my arms. Laurance moved to the door and peered out. He closed the door and turned back to me, his face pale with worry.
"I just overheard some Shadow Knights. They said that they're going to make you a Shadow Knight in the next hour. I didn't want to move you so soon, but we have no choice."
"Where are we going?" I asked, a grim look on my face.
"To Katelyn, Travis, and (Y/N)."
"What should we do after?"
"Try and escape. Now may be the only chance you guys get. Have Katelyn or Travis lead."
"What about you?" I asked, staggering painfully to my feet.
"We'll get weapons on the way, and then I'll trail you guys so you won't have to worry about anyone attacking from behind." Laurance supported me, and we made our way to the door. After checking that the coast was clear, we hurried, or tried to hurry, down the seemingly endless halls. We reached a door and Laurance left me to lean against a wall while he opened it. Once he achieved it, he went inside and came back out with four gleaming red swords. He put them in their sheaths and helped me back down the hallway. We arrived at a wide open hall, and Laurance peeked around before we moved to cross it. After the large hall we turned right and then left, stopping at the second cell on the right. Inside, Katelyn, Travis, and (Y/N) seemed to be doing nothing. (Y/N) looked up and saw me. She gasped and stood up, Katelyn and Travis looking up as well. They all seemed so happy to see us, and I smiled at them.
"Come on out, guys. I have swords for all of you. We're going to leave now. Katelyn or Travis will lead-"
"I'm leading," Katelyn stated, staring at Travis, daring him to say otherwise. The albino remained silent.
"Alright. Travis and (Y/N) will help Garroth to the portal, and I'll be behind you guys in case someone catches up to us. Let's go." Everyone left the cell, and Travis and (Y/N) stood on either side of me. We started back the way we came, heading down the big hallway instead of across. Soon the roof and walls disappeared, and I could spy the sea of lava below us. We briskly walked across the bridge and reached netherrack, the portal only a few hundred feet away. Trying to speed up, I winced as someone bumped my side.
"Sorry," (Y/N) apologized. We finally reached the portal and Travis disappeared through it first. I heard a cry behind us and spied some Shadow Knights coming towards us. I went through the portal, with (Y/N) tailing me. Once I was through Travis ran back to the village. I waited in the cave as Katelyn came through. We all waited anxiously for Laurance. Travis returned with a diamond pickaxe. He went to break a portal block but (Y/N) stopped him. The seconds seemed to become hours. Finally, Laurance dove through the portal, landing at our feet. Travis quickly broke an obsidian block, breaking the portal. Katelyn helped Laurance up, and we headed back to the new village, (Y/N) supporting me as we walked. As we neared the place I stayed, we noticed a girl sitting on my porch. She noticed us and waved. Who on earth is she?

Heyo, everyberry. How's life? I keep procrastinating. I'M SORRY FOR PEOPLE WHO REQUESTED ART AND ONE SHOTS. THEY'RE COMING SOON, I PROMISE. On another note, I am very sad that it is only Tuesday. Also, I had a very weird dream last night that is almost impossible to explain. I spent a good thirty minutes trying to explain it to a friend today. Peace out, and have a great week.
