4: It's Over

Chapter 4: Thank goodness the fight's over

WHAM!

Professor Snape found himself on the floor, again. This troll was too strong for the condition he was in, not to mention his blurred eyes were getting worse. He knew he had limited time to defend himself from the troll as his reflexes were slower.

"Deea sfre dooo!" It bellowed, in it's strange language, as it threw Snape into his tattered kitchen. 'Where were those bloody girls?', Snape thought.

Meanwhile, in the living room, the leader had just emerged from the front door. He had been spotted by another muggle when he was travelling to this wrecked house, he had relished the moment and killed the squabbling freak. He was about to thrust the kitchen door open when he heard a young girl screaming. He turned to face the bookshelf as it slid open revealing Lucy.

The girl he was after.

"Take this, you pussy freak!" Lucy shouted. She threw the axe at the mans face, like Shona had said so, but missed and it lodged itself into the door. The commander smiled his crooked green teeth to show the blood from his last victim. He approached Lucy slowly, his hand in front of him and the other pulling out his wand.

"Long live Zuc the mighty..." He whispered. Lucy was rooted to the spot. 'Where was Shona?' Lucy thought frantically. "Avada Kedavra!" He hissed.

Lucy ducked and felt the spray of power hit her. Panicking, she looked through the mass of books to see if she could use anything for a weapon. Before Lucy could say 'Shona hurry up, this is a bit urgent' she was picked up by the throat. Lucy tried to scream but nothing came out of her mouth.

"I shall enjoy watching you die, Lucy, how I will enjoy killing your father as well..." His eyes turned into a vililant red as he watched Lucy slowly being drained of life...

BANG!

Lucy watched in amazement, again, as her friend plummeted through the floor onto the commander. It was as if she was watching in slow motion. First, she was dying. Next, she saw the plaster of the celling crumble onto them. Lastly she saw Shona feet first appearing through a small gaping hole in the celling. The commander was taken by total surprise and lay sprawled out on the floor, buried by the celling and other random parts that make up a celling.

"That gives a whole new meaning to lights out!" Shona breathed. She smiled at Lucy.

"Bit late aren't you?" Lucy said panting and feeling her neck, she was glad she was finally free from the commander's firm iron grip.

"Better late than ever..." Shona replied. "Where's Snivels?"

"DAD!" Lucy bolted to the door. She had totally forgot about Snape.

"Remember stick with the plan!" Shona said, her hands trying to abbreviate what she was trying to say.

"I can't stick to the plan, your plan ended when you showed Mr Wand man light's out!"

"I know right!" Shona added pointing up to the celling and the buried commander. Shona had taken out the lights somehow when she had fallen.

"Come on," Lucy smiled at Shona. "Let's go save my dad."

Snape's spell had worn off now and was beginning to bleed again. He was smashed into the back wall with terrifying force. He dropped his wand and felt his head spin. How much blood can a man loose? Snape found out quick enough. He couldn't open his eyes or feel his legs now. 'This is hell' Snape thought.

Lucy ran in and saw the troll she then whacked him on the back of his head, in an attempt to slow it down and forget her dad who's death was drawing slowly nearer by ever second. The troll pushed her away and returned to Snape.

"What!" Shouted Shona. "You want to rugby tackle, like this - !" Shona ran into the back of the troll, screaming her head off. She rammed it to the floor leaving Lucy and Snape to stare at her.

"Reducto!" Shona bellowed at the thing. It let out a squeal as the spell hit it in the chest. It became suddenly silent.

"That's your plan?" Said Snape looking around nervously, fearing if this ever happened again he would not let McGuire take charge.

"Dad..." Lucy ran straight to Snape. She put her hand lightly on his cheek to let him know she was there. Lucy swore she saw a smile.

"We need to get him to St Mungos" Shona said, while wiping the blood she had aquired from the troll on her shirt.

"What?" Lucy questioned.

"It's a hospital..." Snape added. "If I don't get help soon, well I won't be here much longer"

"Oh yeah" Shona said as she slowly wandered to the door. "It's really big" she began to look at the axe embedded in the door. "Nice throw," she granted Lucy.

Shona and Lucy helped Snape stagger to the front door. Before they got to the door Snape turned to Shona.

"McGuire" his voice quivered as he spoke her hame. "Look after my house..."

"Well there's not much to look after" Shona replied. Noticing Snape was in pain, she said. "Sure, I'll look after your house." She shook his hand lightly as if to say 'you can trust me'.

Snape was lead away by Lucy and they slowly apparated. Shona walked back in to the potions masters house, or what was left of it. Shona assessed the damage in the living room. It was a tip. Plaster had been trodden in to what was left of the carpet, the books had swamped the floor in front of them and all the furniture, well, the three items that stood in the room anyway, had been thrown off their feet.

Sighing, Shona walked over the books and pulled the leather chair, that Snape usually vacated, onto its four paws. She looked over the axe in the jagged door. With one hand Shona pulled out the axe in one go. It left a gaping hole in the door frame, and you could see that all the windows had been shattered.

Suddenly she heard a groaning noise coming from the other side of the room. The commander was waking up. Shona walked over the man, making sure that he could see the axe in her hands. Remembering Shona, he let out a groan.

"Oh not you!"

"Are you OK?" Shocked at the question the commander tried to find and answer.

"I'm OK, I guess..." Nodding his head.

Shona took action quickly by hitting the man in the face. The commander's head immediately hit the floor, blood spewing out of his nose.

"Now you're not!" She whispered. Shona then heard the clock in the hallway strike ten. She counted the chimes and sat on Snape's leather chair.

"Hope Snape don't mind me doing this..." Shona mumbled as she laid her head back, still holding the axe in her hands. 'This seat isn't bad!' She thought 'no wonder Snape likes this chair so much.' Shona didn't worry about the monsters, still lying unconscious and scattered around the house. She knew the spell she had cast would keep the troll unconscious for hours to come and the others...Well, she had an axe if anything went wrong. And with that Shona slowly drifted off to sleep.
