Chapter 13: George the jealous one

Lucy woke up the next morning feeling better than usual. She jumped out of bed got changed and headed downstairs to find Snape scowling at his paper.

"Morning!" Lucy said in a sing song voice

"Morning..." Snape grunted

"If your still in a mood about yesterday get over it, me and Fred are just friends" Lucy sat down on one of the chairs and sighed. "If your going to act like this i'm going to go down to the great hall now and see all my friends...Including Fred" Lucy smirked as Snape closed his paper and tossed it on the floor

"You don't really like him do you?"

"No we are just good friends" 

"Right..."

There was a moment of silence but Lucy broke it

"Dad? Can I go down to Hogsmede today?"

"Yes, but i'm coming with you, for the simple reason Sirius Black is on the lose, and he was spotted not that  long ago."

"Alright then...Right i'm going to go down to the great hall for some breakfast then I will come straight back"

"Ok, don't be long"

"I'll try not to be" 

Lucy walked out of Snape's quarters and headed down to the great hall, where she found Fred sitting there. Lucy sat next to him and he smiled weakly

"Hi Lucy" he murmured

"Hi! What's up?"

"Nothing much..."

"Yes there is tell me!"

"Your dad hates me right?"

"He hates every child in this school apart from me"

"Well he dosen't agree with us going out"

"I know, lets just be good friends for now"

"Ok then..." As the words left Fred's mouth Lucy's friends bounded in to the great hall and sat down.

"Morning!" Shona said whilst grabbing herself some toast

"Who's going to Hogsmede today?" George asked

"I'm not I have studying to do..." Hermione said pulling out a book

"I'm staying here it's too cold for my liking" Harry said and Ron agreed

"That sucks...Well if you guys are not going i'm staying" George said a little bit dissapointed

"I'm going, but dad said he wanted to come with me because of this Sirius Black" Lucy acted like she hadn't even heard of Sirius, but secretly she did...

"Ok...." George said, he looked a bit annoyed with Lucy, throughout breakfast George kept glaring at her. Fred still spoke to her but George just kept glaring at her...

"Right, I better get going..." Lucy smiled weakly, got up and left the great hall.

She hadn't even eaten any of her breakfast, she just couldn't get her head around why George was giving her looks...

Later Lucy was up in her room reading a book, after a while Snape walked in

"Lucy?" Snape asked

"Yes?" Lucy looked up from her book

"You seem a bit quiet"

"Do I?" Lucy asked nervously fiddling with her hair

"Yes, ever since you came back from the great hall, you've kept yourself shut in your room"

"Oh right....It's just that..."

"Yes?" Snape said sitting on her bed

"George asked if anyone was going to Hogsmede, and everyone seemed to of backed out, and after that George kept giving me looks, and I have no idea why..."

"Do you think maybe George found out about you spending time with Fred? After all they are twins..."

"Yeah but Fred wanted to spend time with me"

"Lucy just understand that they are twins, and twins basically do everything together"

"But, do you think maybe George asked everyone not to go to Hogwarts because of me?"

"I don't know..." Snape paused for a moment "right you better get changed then we can head to Hogsmede" Snape said and left the room

After a while Lucy and Snape were in Hogsmede, and Lucy did have to admit it was cold....

"Lucy i'm just going to go into the bookstore, you wait outside..." Snape said

"Ok then I will stay here..."

Snape nodded and walked in the bookstore. Lucy stood there impatiently and watched everybody walk by, she saw Malfoy walk by with Crabbe and Goyle. And many other people passed until Lucy saw a black wolf at her feet. Lucy was half shocked, half happy. She grabbed the wolf and lead it around the back of the shop.

"Sirius! What are you doing here!" Lucy squeaked

"Coming to see you, wondering how you were getting on"

"That's nice of you but, don't you think it's slightly dangerous that you are wondering around in broad day light?"

"Yes but..."

"And the dementors! What were you thinking?!"

"I know...I've heard you have been having trouble with the Weasley's"

"I know that was nothing..."

"Well Fred's looking for you, I saw him asking people where you were, I suggest you go see him"

"I have got to tell my dad first otherwise...Well you know what sort of temper he has on him"

"Indeed...Ok if you ever need me I will be around..."

"Thank's Sirius, good luck with the hiding and stuff" Lucy hugged Sirius and he ran off

Lucy walked into the bookstore where he saw Snape looking at assorted books

"Hey dad, i'm just going to the joke shop, just going to look what's in there"

"Very well, I will be here if you need me"

"Ok see you in a bit" Lucy waved then headed out of the book store and into the joke shop where she almost crashed into Fred

"Lucy!" Fred said, he grabbed her by the arm and lead her around the back of the shop

"Fred, I heard that you wanted to see me"

"Yeah I did, I found out that George didn't want anyone to come with Hogsmede with you to make you miserable, because I was apparently spending too much time with you"

"Oh..."

"Don't worry about it I have already had a go at him because of his stupidity"

"That's very un-Fred like of you!"

"I know, but I didn't like the fact that he was being nasty to you"

"Thank's Fred" Lucy smiled and hugged him

"It's ok"

Lucy let go of Fred and he spoke to Lucy

"I want to show you something tonight, if it's ok with you and your dad"

"It's fine with me, and as far as i'm aware dad's busy tonight anyway"

"That's great! Meet me outside the Gryffindor common room tonight"

"Ok then, I will guess I will see you then..."

"Yeah..." There was an awkward moment of silence but then Fred broke it. "Do you want to come to the Gryffindor common room now?"

"Of course! Let me just go tell my dad..."

But as Lucy turned the corner she saw Snape, Lucy gave Fred a look as if to say 'run!' He obeyed then Lucy turned back to Snape

"Lucy I have been looking for you"

"I was only here"

"But I told you..."

"I know i'm sorry, i'm going to go to the Gryffindor common room now! Bye!" Before Snape could open his mouth Lucy had run off.
