I woke up remembering I had to take Iris for coffee. It kills to know that she's leaving tomorrow, so I guess just make the best of it. Just don't flirt with her. That's the only rule to follow. According to Ryan, that is. It was too soon, anyways. I picked out my outfit. A pair of jeans with a blue flannel. Casual. I did my hair and brushed my teeth. I went downstairs and waited for Iris. Mark looked at me. "We'll look at you! You little nerd." Mark said as he ate his cereal. "Just because I have glasses now doesn't mean I'm a nerd." I said. I smiled at the thought of Iris, blocking out everything. I turned on my phone and went on Mark's Instagram. I read the comments of the iHop photo.

Iris stepped downstairs. She looked so beautiful. Dammit Matt. Remember. No romantic shit. "Look who's all fancy." Iris said as she nudged me. "Same goes towards you, Ms. Magee." I said. Fuck. Mark laughed behind us. "Have fun guys." Mark said. "We will!" Iris said as she stepped outside. I looked back at Mark and he stuck his tongue out and mouthed "You know you like her."
And he was right. I did. But I couldn't tell her that. I stepped into the car and Iris did the same. I began driving. She looked out the window. "Guess what?" She asked. "What." I replied. "I.... Like your shirt." She said. "Thanks. Same goes towards you." I said. We arrived at the cafe shortly after. We ordered and took a seat. "You look so adorable today. I can't get over it." She said. My cheeks heated up. "You look even better than I do. Your shirt is so lacy and pastel...ly." I said. She giggled.
We were there for a half an hour and we finally left. We got in the car and saw nobody was home. Iris and I walked into the living room and talked for a while. We stood there for a few seconds. Suddenly, she kissed me. I tended up for a bit, then kissed back. We were at it for about twenty seconds before someone walked into the house. It was Mark. Iris pulled apart. She looked at Mark. Mark stood shocked. Iris ran to her room and I flopped down onto the couch with you hands over my face. Mark laughed. "Matt I won't tell Ryan." Mark said. "YOU won't but IRIS will." I said. Everything was going downhill fast. Iris ran back downstairs and words spilled out of her mouth. "Mark it wasn't what it looked like at all it was my fault I made the first move I'm sorry I know I'm leaving tomorrow and-" Iris was breathing heavy. "Iris it's fine. Nothing'll come out me. I won't go around telling everybody." Mark said. Iris worried expression quickly grew hyper. I stood up next to Mark. My face was still red. "AAHHHH!" Iris said as she jumped onto my back. Mark laughed. "You guys'll be fine." Mark said. "I'm gonna record!" He said as he walked upstairs. "We just kissed Matt! This is great!" Iris said. I was happy, as well. I forgot all about Ryan's rule and kissed her again.
