Luhan is speechless. He just ends the call and walks to his apartment. Yes, he is unsure about his own feeling towards Yoojin, but one thing he knows, she successfully makes his heart flutter without any special reason and it means a lot for him who barely moves on from his past lover.

Once he reaches his apartment, he opens the door and there he sees Yoojin, sitting on the couch and ignoring his presence. He looks at her and find her cheeks blush. He finds it cute and wants to smile but Kris' words keep replaying inside his mind, dragging his mood down.

"Kang Yoojin" Luhan calls her weakly.

"Yes?" Yoojin asks as she faces him, though she still feels shy about their little skinship earlier.

"I need to go somewhere, you stay here and don't let anybody enter---" He pauses as he sees her frown but decides to neglect it "---if you sense danger, I have a gun inside that drawer" He continues as he points at the top drawer. Then without sparing a glance he leaves the apartment. He goes to his car and immediately drives to Kris' house, wanting an explanation.

In the other hand, Yoojin just watches Luhan disappear and sighs lowly. One second he treats her right and makes her heart flutter, but the next second he acts so cold and makes her upset. She just questions, is he a bipolar or what? It's extremely hard to understand him.

As soon as Luhan arrives at Kris' house, he gets out from his car and enters the house. Kris already waits for him and immediately brings him to his room. Though he says nothing and just takes a seat in silent, Kris right away gives him an explanation he wants.

"Firstly you need to calm down" Kris needs to reassure and Luhan nods.

"Okay, remember about her tragic background? It was Doctor Lee's plan, but he wasn't alone---" Kris pauses and checks Luhan's expression. Luhan just sighs and closes his eyes, already knowing how this conversation will end "---dude, your father was a great help to doctor Lee, it was all executed by your father's men" Kris continues and Luhan's world begins to collapse.

Thereafter, Kris gives a further explanation. Luhan's father chose to help doctor Lee because he had importance as well. He wanted Taeyang University Hospital to use medication produced by his pharmaceutical subsidiary, but Yoojin's father turned down that offer. After his right-hand man executed her family, it was a win-win situation for them. Doctor Lee got his CEO position, immediately changed all the medication with the one from Luhan's father company. It was all business and money.

It's easy to predict, remembering how close his father is with doctor Lee. This reality really annoys him and makes him mad, but it doesn't affect his decision. It was his father who involved in that evil plan and he, himself had nothing to do with that. Anyway, he isn't in a good relationship with his father and he doesn't want to accept it as one of a reason why he couldn't be together with Yoojin.

"You forget? My father erased my name from the family years ago and I considered him as stranger since then---" Luhan pauses and looks at Kris "---now, explain to me, why can't I be together with her?" He confronts.

"I know, but he's still your father and if she finds out, it would just hurt her" Kris speaks.

"Yeah, if she finds out---" Luhan emphasizes his words and continues "---I just need to make sure she will never find out"

Luhan ends the argument there and leaves Kris. Nothing is wrong from Kris' words, but it makes him upset because it doesn't fit with what he wants. He doesn't think twice about the future consequences and chooses as he wishes. This time, he really has to be selfish for his own good. He can't let his father ruin his life once again, just like that time.

Luhan grew up in a wealthy family with a great background. That time, he freshly graduated from highschool and he wanted to pursue his dream in information technology, but of course his father rejected it. As a businessman, his father wanted him to inherit the company together with his older brother, Lufan.

One day, Luhan and his father had a great argument about this. His father threatened to erase his name from the Lu's family if he disobeyed. He didn't want to give up and he kept being stubborn. His father terribly mad at him and started comparing him with his brother. His father said, he was no better than his brother, he was just a rebel child, and without his father's wealth he couldn't even survive a day out there. He never hated his brother, but he always hated it whenever his father compared them.

This hurted Luhan's heart and pride badly. The pain that he felt, it made him decide to leave the mansion and proved his father's prejudice was all wrong. Later that night he left without saying anything, he just wrote a letter for his mother and said goodbye through it.

It was tough, it was hard without all the money. For once, he hoped his father would try to find him, but he just heard his father already erase his name from the family. He was disappointed and desperate, to the point where he cried like crazy. Days past, he didn't eat for two days in a row and he felt so weak. He was helpless, but suddenly his brother found him there and since then, his brother secretly helped him.

His brother gave him place to live, food to eat, clothes to use. His brother supported his dream and paid for his IT education. He studied hard and became the top student, but before he could graduate from university, his brother died in a car crash. Once again, his life turned dark and he had nothing, until eventually he met Kris who changed his life forever.

Since a year ago until now, Luhan's relationship with his parents gets better. Once in a while, he visits his parents because after all blood is thicker than water. He feels sorry for his mother, but it will never wipe away his disappointment towards his father. Just days ago when he met with his father in hospital, he thought little by little he could forgive him, but today, it's all gone. He thinks, it will be hard for him to do so because the hatred grows crazily and rules his mind.

Yoojin hears the crack from the door and she knows, Luhan just returns. She continues to play with her phone and ignores everything. She doesn't want to deal with his mood swing right now, but suddenly he joins her on the couch. He says nothing, but she hears his sigh. It makes her turn her face and stares at him.

"Why? Something happened?" Yoojin asks him, she just can't help her curiosity.

"Hmm" Luhan just hums and frowns slightly.

Yoojin wants to ask more, but she realizes, this man doesn't want to talk right now. She just sit there without saying a thing, but keep him company. Time to time, she glances at him secretly and sees dark cloud on his face. He looks like someone who is ready to chew anything that makes annoying noise. This is so awkward, it kills her softly.

"I'm not in a good mood right now---"

It startles Yoojin, but she instantly looks at Luhan because he finally makes some sound. She witnesses him sigh again and this time he ends it with a pout, a little too cute for a gangster like him. Insane, his cuteness suffocates her with bliss. It makes her smile softly but she changes into a poker face when he suddenly turns to make an eye-contact with her.

"---can you go out with me?" Luhan asks.

"Ah---" Yoojin pauses and hesitates. She wants to reject him because his bad mood could be a boomerang to her, but she doesn't want to be rude to him because he looks like someone who really needs a friend.

"I don't want to be alone right now, can you accompany me?" He tries to convince her, sounding pitiful and immediately making her fall for it. She nods at him and asks the destination because she just wants to know. His answer really is out from her prediction, but she loves it.
