Normani closed her locker and sighed. She sighed harder as closed her eyes and leaned it against the locker. It was the end of her first day of senior year. Today began the day of one of the most important nine months of her life.

After the wild summer with her mate, she and Dinah had to go home and get ready for school. It was one of the most eventful summers of her life. She was hit over the head with a frying pan, kidnapped, and lived with werewolfs.

But she couldn't deny that it was also the best summer of her life.

She spent it all with her best friend, found her soulmate, and did things she only dreamed of doing. Back in Orange County she really did miss Lauren.

Although they had been mindlinking nearly everyday since they'd left she missed her physical presence. She missed them cuddling and holding each other. She missed the late night coffee ice cream.

She missed her lips on hers.

A light pat on the back made the brown skin girl hop up. There before her stood her best friend, "So how was it Mani ?"

"I hate school and everyone in it."

The Polynesian girl smiled, "Me too, high five girl."

The two girl gave each other a high five and laughed. These girls had been through so much together, there's no way they're ever breaking it off. Norminah for life, as they liked to say.

The pair walked out of the school together having their small talk. As the two girls reached the parking lot, a familiar white jeep was parked.

Normani squinted her eyes and looked at the truck, "Dinah look."

"That can't be." The Pacific Islander girl looked over and sure enough, out stepped the alpha and beta. Lauren rose her shades up and smiled at her mate.

Not even thinking twice, Normani ran over towards Lauren jumping into a hug. The beta laughed happily as she held the girl by her thighs, twirling them both around. A sweet kiss was placed on Lauren's lips making the girl's smile widen.

Normani pulled away chuckled, "I missed you so much."

"I missed you too princess. That's why I'm here," Lauren glanced over at her best friend and smiled, "That's why we're here."

Normani looked over her shoulder to see Dinah placed a small kiss on the temple and pulled her closer, still cautious over her cast. Lauren smiled and put Normani down.

The four girls all made their way back into the truck, ready to spend the remainder of the day together. It wasn't always like this but they were happy it was. All it took was some:
