DAY 9

Lauren sighed as she stared up at the ceiling. Sleep had not been her best friend ever since they realized they would be under attack. Of course she would get some but it wouldn't be like the way it used to be. Going to sleep for Lauren was like charging a device, it took time and all in all, at the end it'd be ready to go. Now it was like a mandatory part of her days left.

It was as if when Kehlani left, the pack split. One half of the pack were striving for survival while the others just stopped caring. With the mentality that death was ahead, it took the pack for a complete turn. Yesterday, during training, there was nonstop arguing between the two feuding halves of the pack.

The Cuban girl put her hands over her face in stress, "Why can't we just have peace ?" Lauren rubbed her temple and tried contacting Ally through mindlink, "Ally, you free to talk ?"

After a couple seconds, her small voice responded, "Come to my office in about ten minutes. Don't forget about training."

"Never that Alpha."

The green eyed girl closed her mindlink and continued to stare up at the blank ceiling. She didn't want to be so pessimistic about this whole situation but Lord knows hope was wearing thin.

"Come in," Ally stated as she heard the light knock on her door. In stepped her best friend, "What's wrong Lauren ?"

The younger girl sat in a chair before her best friend, "Ally this pack is falling apart and it's too far gone."

Ally laughed humorlessly as she rubbed her face, "Don't you think I know this Lauren ?"

"We need to make big changes Ally. We have nine days left and half of the pack cannot and will not withstand the power of Corey," Lauren gulped, "I have a plan. It's a complete stretch but I think we can find loops."

The alpha leaned in towards Lauren, "What is it ?"

"We should give him what he wants."

At the statement, Ally shot up, fist balled, "Lauren tell me you're joking."

"I'm being serious Ally, it's the best shot we've got."

Ally's teeth gritted, "I would rather die than give him this pack. I will not ever let anybody unfit to run this pack take control. Lauren have you lost your mind ?"

As much as Lauren hated to admit it, what possessed Kehlani stated truly dug deep into her mind. Why couldn't they just give them what he wanted and get peace ?

"No listen, you can give him the possession over the pack but we can revolt-"

"With what power Lauren ? With him taking control of the pack, his alpha roots come into play. Mindlink over the pack comes in, his alpha dominance over the people, his ruthless magic to wipe us all out. You're not thinking any of this through Lauren this is not a game," The Mexican girl gulped, "As many times as I've said it, this boy is not a joke. I hate to say it but he surpasses my power. Him in power gives him nothing more but an advantage."

Lauren's face curved into an irritated scowl, "What else do we have ?! I'm trying to come up with something !"

"What is that supposed to mean beta ?" Ally too grew irked.

"I'm not trying to waste the next nine days training uselessly and relying on hope Ally ! We need to work now !"

The alpha's voice raised, "Do you not think I'm trying to do that ?! Lauren, I'm putting in my everything into this pack and you have the audacity to belittle what I'm doing ?"

"Your everything isn't enough Ally !"

Both girls were inches away from each other, faces beet red with anger. The pair never argued and right now they were both tense. Staring at her best friend's near gold eyes, a realization hit Ally, "That slick shit."

"What ?" Lauren questioned, her eyebrows furrowing.

"Break the team from the inside. It makes sense," The Mexican girl laughed dryly, "He's making us weaker without even doing anything. He's splitting us up, pinning us against ourselves."

The green eyed girl chest heaved, her body still hot from her anger, "What are you talking about ? How ?"

"Ruben trying to get people to degrade Camila. My outlash against Dinah. Sending Kehlani away. This is him trying to break us all apart. How could I have not seen it earlier ?" The alpha's claws extended, "Lauren he's too smart. This boy knows exactly how to get to us."

Lauren tried to approach her best friend but was stopped by the alpha raising her hand up, "Do not touch me right now. Because I know if I get my hands on something Altsoba will take over and I do not need this right now. Gather the pack up, I will be downstairs in a couple minutes. I need to calm down."

At the demand, the beta stood up and obeyed. This pack was up against a literal diabolical genius and she was now even more terrified.

Ally stood before her pack yet again that week, "Good morning everyone," Everyone gave their dry responses, "I have good news for everyone. This will be the last pack meeting from now on."

A small eruption of happiness spread through the pack, making the lump in the alpha's throat grow, "Many of you know that we are up against a difficult spirit. As much as I hate to say it, this pack is not ready for this power of Corey. It took very hard and long thought but as of today, this pack will disperse up until the battle day."

Not only did everyone's eyes widen but so did Lauren, who was also unaware of this plan. At that, everyone busted into their own comments upon the matter. Camila spoke up, "Alpha Ally, you can't seperate us ! We're a pack, we still together !"

"This pack will never not be a pack. But also being a pack requires hard decisions. I know everyone here wants to live and this is our only chance," Ally looked out at her pack, "We will split into three groups. One will go to the Redding pack, two will go to the San Diego pack, and three will go to Reno pack for a month. I've already spoken to the alphas and they will allow people in."

The pack grew rowdier in their responses, Ruben rose his finger, "Ally this is selfish. We can just go and lead the enemy to three different packs. That puts not only us but them in danger."

"You won't lead the enemy because I will stay here. He wants me and only me, I cannot put anymore of you guys in danger."

The pack erupted into a fit. Loud comments left everyone as Dinah shook her head in disbelief, hot tears down her cheeks, "Ally no you can't ! Y-You can't just-"

"I have made up my mind Dinah-Jane," The Mexican girl kept her face stone cold as she looked at her pack, "Everyone is to begin packing immediately. The rental vans will be here by tomorrow and I need everyone to leave as soon as possible. Do I make myself clear ?"

Everyone nodded except for Camila. The omega wiped the tears in her eyes as she looked down at the ground. She was going to lose her hero. The person she looked up to all her life was going to be gone in a matter of nine days.

"Do I make myself clear Camila ?" Ally spoke sternly at the Cuban-Mexican girl. The mixed Latina did not utter a response as she turned and walked back towards the pack house. The alpha gulped down her emotions as she looked out at everyone, "Get ready everyone."

Normani held her best friend as the Polynesian girl sobbed harder into her chest. Dinah tried speaking through her tears, "She c-ca-can't do this Ma-Mani."

"The alpha needs to do what they have to do for their pack. One life for over a hundred." The brown skin friend reasoned.

"It's not just her life she's giving. She's giving mine too. I l-love her Normani, I can't lose her," The caramel colored girl held tightly onto her best friend's shirt, "Normani I can't lose her."

Normani looked up from her friend's crying form to see Ally standing in the doorway. The girl's eyes slid into deathly slits, "You have the nerve coming here."

"Dinah, I'm sorry-" Ally tried walking up to her mate but was stopped by Normani's opposing arm.

"Uh-uh, you've done enough."

"Normani just let me speak to her please." The small girl asked in her pleading voice. She admired how much the brown skin girl cared for her mate. The way she wrapped her up in her arms protectively and the way she cradled her. If somebody were to do so when she's not around, she's happy it was Normani.

The Pacific Islander girl looked up from her best friend's soaked shirt and sniffled. Dinah looked up at her friend, her eyes pleading for some alone time with her mate. The older girl sighed and gave her best friend a kiss on the forehead. Normani lifted herself up and walked past the alpha, not without bumping shoulders.

Ally let out a breath as she looked at Dinah. The caramel beauty's face was an auburn shade, the brown and red color of her face mixing together. She hated to see her cry, let alone be unhappy.

The older girl walked over towards Dinah, "Dinah, I'm-"

"After everything this pack has worked for and you're just going to throw it away ?" Dinah spat out, "Every single person in this pack has put their hearts into trying to save this pack and you just want to let it all go ?"

The Mexican girl shook her head, "Baby it's not like that at all. I'm not throwing anything away. I'm setting things right, so nobody gets hurt."

"You're the one who is going to end up hurt. Ally you know he wants nothing more than to see you dead. We need to fight for it."

"We need to think logically in terms for all lives," Ally tucked a loose strand of hair behind the girl's ear, "We could lose all lives or we could possibly lose none. His power is strong but I can fight too. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if anything happened to anybody."

Dinah's lip quivered as more tears left her brown eyes, "I can't lose you Ally please."

"You'll never lose me babygirl. I'm always here for you," Ally pointed to her head, the mindlink between the two opening, "Remember ?"

The taller girl nodded, "I remember."

Ally smiled weakly as she rubbed the mark on Dinah's wrist. The Polynesian girl looked at her mate, taking in everything that would be happening. After tomorrow, she might actually not see her soulmate anymore.

"I love you Dinah. I want you to never forget that, okay ?"

Dinah nodded, "I won't, I promise."

The Mexican girl cupped Dinah's cheek and brought their lips together. A long desired wave of pleasure spread through both girl's bodies. There had been this yearning between their bodies, with all the pent up emotions it only made the love even more deep.

Gently, Ally laid Dinah down on her back against the mattress. The girl pulled away, only inches away, and looked deeply at into Dinah's eyes, "Please never forget it."

Lauren, Normani, Ally, Dinah, and Kehlani all stood in the vast green field of the backyard. Each girl stood in shock of how they all had gotten there.

"What's going on ?" Normani pondered, not understanding why they were all there.

In the instant before the girls flashed a body. A curly haired brown skin boy around their age popped. At the sight of him, Ally, Kehlani, and Lauren all stood before the humans.

Ally's eyes widened at the sight before her, "H-How ?"

The curly haired boy smiled, "Hey Ally. Hey everyone."

"This has to be some type of dream," Lauren stated as she looked at the figure before her. How was he in front of them, "Corey has to be doing some type of mind trick right now."

The brown skin boy walked over towards the girls, "Why are you guys acting so weird ? I just come back from work and all of a sudden everyone has gone crazy." The boy laughed normally, making Ally's guard come up even higher.

"Jordan, what are you doing here ?"

Jordan smiled, "I live here, duh. What's wrong with her Lo ?"

The boy gestured for Lauren to back him up but the Cuban girl only growled, "Go fuck yourself."

The curly haired boy nodded his head, accepting the insult.

Ally got in her fighting stance, "I'm not here to play games Corey. Whatever the hell this is, come out now. I have had enough."

Jordan tilted his head in confusion and looked at his adoptive sister. The brown boy walked closer to Ally only to have her step back. His heart twinged a bit at the lack of love. He loved Ally, why was she just brushing him off ?

"Come on, why are you being like this ?" Jordan placed his head on Ally's shoulder. His eyes turning bright red, his voice lowering to an evilly low octave, "Do you not love me anymore ?"

At that statement, the world shook. Each girl tumbling over, not being able to take the violent stir. Darkness caved in and out, taking the girls now to a dark place. A spotlight shined upon a younger Ally and Jordan. Both older Ally and Jordan stood on their respective sides of their younger selves.

The four girls stood, before the spotlight, feet anchored to the floor as their eyes remained glued to the scene before them. Younger Ally had finally turned wolf and tackled Younger Jordan to the ground. Vicious bite after bite upon the boy's brown skin, the girl continued her wrath on the boy.

As each bite was given to Younger Jordan, Lauren, Normani, Kehlani, and Dinah each cried out in pain as they felt the agonizing sensations. Identical bite marks Jordan was receiving, the girls got as well. Allys body remained stuck in her spot as she looked between the spot light and her friends.

"Ally stop !" She called out to her younger self, but there was no use talking sense into such a savage animal. In her voice she heard Corey's younger voice echoing alongside her.

Jordan met Ally's eyes, "What's wrong Ally ? Don't you usually do this to the people you love ? Pain is all you can give."

Younger Ally now began stomping Younger Jordan with her gigantic paws. In a rage, the animal headbutt the boy, making rough groans leave the girls.

Tears hugged Lauren's cheeks as she held her stomach, "Ally make it stop."

Kehlani sobbed as her arms stung at the torn off flesh, "Ally please !"

In that moment, Younger Ally had transformed back into her bare human form and straddled the curly haired boy. Right there, a sharp punch was sent to the boy making the girls cry out with the boy.

"I-I can't take it. Please stop." Normani cried out, coughing out blood at the pain.

"Ally stop ! Stop !!" Corey and Ally screamed, their voices together in one.

Younger Ally scowled as she slammed her sharps claws into the older boy's chest. A growl left her little lips as they sunk deeper and deeper into his flesh.

Older Ally couldn't stop the tears and cries leaving her lips at how much pain she was causing everyone. The alpha looked at Dinah, whose head was thrown back, a dead look on her face.

The Polynesian girl turned towards Ally, her stare deep.

"Ally, please." Dinah and Younger Jordan both whimpered.

"You are below me Jordan." Was the last thing Younger Ally said before sending her arm full force into the boy's chest. All four girls dropped down at the pain.

Younger Ally grunted as she yanked out the boy's heart, the organ beating harshly in her palm. Jordan's eyes stared widely at older Ally alongside all four of the girls.

"Jordan !!" Ally and Corey screamed out.

DAY 8

Each girl jolted out of bed. Normani, Dinah, Ally, Lauren, and Kehlani each breathed heavily as they woke up from the terrible visual. It was almost too real to even be a nightmare. The four girls clutched at their chests as they could faintly feel the excruciating pain.

Ally wiped the sweat and tears from her face. That was definitely no ordinary dream. That was too vivid to be a dream.

In the instant, the girls ran out of their bedrooms to meet each other in the hallway. The girls hadn't uttered a word but they all knew exactly what they were all out there for.

"We all had shared that dream ?" Lauren asked, everyone nodding.

Ally looked at the girls, "This is a sign. We need to get everyone to leave now. Gather up everyone, let's go."

Kehlani paced around her room in the Sacramento pack. The girl rubbed her temple as the migraine grew harsher and harsher upon her.

"He didn't do this for no reason. What does this mean ?" The tattooed girl ran her fingers through her hair.

A purple aura clouded the girl's eyes, "It's too late." The voice whispered into the girl's mind. Kehlani shook at the statement.

"Oh fuck ! Fuck !" The gamma tried connecting her mindlink to the alpha but was blocked, "What the fuck ? This shit blocked my mindlink !"

The light skin girl had to get to the pack and tell them. At this pack they didn't allow her to use any electronics and isolated her from vile things to pure her mind. The girl had to inform her pack.

Kehlani sprinted down the stairs, yelling at everyone down there, "My pack is in trouble ! Somebody call Alpha Ally and let her know !!"

In a flash, the girl transformed into her wolf form and let her feet sprint as fast as she could towards the pack.

Please don't be too late.

"Everyone hurry ! Hurry !" Ally demanded as each pack member rushed everywhere with their things. The van were to pull up and minute now and Ally had a bad feeling up her spine. Everyone had to leave now.

Lauren huffed as she threw her bag over her shoulder, "Did you get in contact with Lani ?"

"Her mindlink is shut off," Ally ran her fingers through her hair, "Lauren I've got a bad feeling."

"I do too Ally. Ever since that dream, I've felt nothing but apprehensive."

As everyone gathered in the first floor, Ally counted off each member. The sound of the van honks made Ally nod, "I am very proud of all of you. I wish the best for everyone. I love you all."

Just as the alpha dismissed her pack, the sound of the house phone rang. The Mexican girl furrowed her brow as she paced her way towards the dock and looked at the device.

Unknown Caller

Ally's face scrunched at the strangeness, the girl picked up the phone, "Hello ?"

"You're too late Alpha Ally."

Right in the middle of the crowd of the pack flashed a purple. As the haze died down, there revealed the smirking boy.

Ally's eyes widened, "Corey."

"You're just too late Ally." At that, the boy stuck his arms out, a deep purple fog leaving his hands as it coated the whole room at lightning fast speeds. At the inhale of the fog, each pack member dropped to the floor unconscious.

Ally coughed as she tried maneuvering through the opaque purple fog. Her pack members, they couldn't get hurt.

The Mexican girl's vision blurred as the last thing she saw before falling over was Corey's smiling face.

Camila coughed as she could barely see through the fog. In the minute that the hazardous magic was thrown out, Tori had taken cover for the small Cuban-Mexican girl, preventing her from fully inhaling any of the fumes.

Through the little crack of Tori's arms, Camila could see Corey wasn't working alone. Him and other rogues picked up not only Ally's but Lauren, Normani, and Dinah's bodies. The girl tried to get up and push Tori off but the magical fumes had made her weak in the limbs.

Tears streamed down the omega's face as she watched her friends being taken away helplessly.

Kehlani breathed hard as she kicked through the front doors of her packhouse. She had ran all the way from Sacramento to Oakland, her adrenaline getting the best of her.

Rushing into the pack house, the gamma was met with sprawled out bodies on the floor. The one thing that caught her eye was upright Camila. The small mixed Latina sobbed as she held Tori in her arms.

"Camila, what happened ?"

The Cuban-Mexican girl looked up from gazing at her mate, "He took them Kehlani. He took them."
