Lauren smiles as she sees the usual swelling of her mate's belly. She doesn't feel the pang of sadness she usually does though, because this time she knows it's real. She knows that there's going to be little babies growing in there soon.

Two years later...

"This was a mistake." Lauren sighs heavily as she wipes splatters of baby food off of her clothes, scowling at the little boy laughing before her.

"Hey!" Y/n scolds, slapping her arm on her way past as she tries to control the pup in her arms, "Don't say that."

Lauren chuckles and nods, giving her daughter a scratch behind the ears as she's carried past.

"Alright, come on." She then says to the boy still sat in his high-chair, lifting him up onto her shoulders.

The boy howls loudly, making Lauren quickly change his position to be in her arms before he turns and bracing herself when she sees more pups running into her, bounding up at her to get to their brother.

"Okay, okay." Lauren soothes them, putting him down on the floor where he receives licks and invitations to play by all of his siblings.

Well, all besides little Michelle, who sits in her mother's lap, exhausted. There's always a runt of the litter, and theirs just happens to be Michelle.

"My babies." Lauren greets the pair with a kiss on each forehead, wrapping her arm around Y/n's shoulder as she sits beside her and looks down at her smallest child.

"Mama!" The small girl smiles, giggling happily. Michelle seems to always be in a halfway state between wolf and human, and this time she has a little tail wagging beneath her despite the rest of her appearing like a regular human. Both of her mothers still love her just the same, though.

"Heyyo, baby," Lauren says cheerily, tickling her daughter's tummy.

Y/n smiles contently beside her. She's so glad to have the family she does, and the wife she does, even if it can get a little out of hand sometimes.

As Y/n looks up from their children and into Lauren's eyes, she notices a look in them that tells exactly what she wants.

"It's okay, Lauren." She reassures the woman, "You can turn, I'll finish making dinner."

"Are you sure?" Lauren asks, pausing in her tickling and looking up at Y/n. She doesn't get to turn quite as often now as she's frequently needed as an extra pair of hands, not paws, in looking after the kids.

"Yeah." Y/n nods, smiling before slapping Lauren's leg encouragingly, "Go have fun!"

Lauren's grin is toothy as she leans in for a kiss before getting onto the floor and turning, her body feeling much freer in its new form. The effect it has on her now is much more accentuated than it used to be, now that the transformation happens so little times.

With an excited wag of her tail, she nudges her smallest daughter until she turns too, howling slightly before being picked up in her mama's mouth and carried across the room to the huge dog bed they invested in.

Once the other pups realise their mama is in wolf form, the bound over in hopes of playing but quickly stop when they see Michelle curling up into her side and yawning widely.

With a change of plan, they all pile on top of Lauren and get comfy, ready to have a nap until Michelle wants to play too.

Y/n watches on with a smile as her wife licks the top of each child's head before settling her head between her paws and watching the woman work in the kitchen.

Everything feels so right in their lives now, and Y/n almost wishes they had kids sooner until she hears a small fart coming from one of them.

"Ew! Gross, you little stinker !" She exclaims, laughing loudly as she watches the others all get up and run away from the smell.
