--Sophie--

School was lots of fun after we met Percy and his friends.

But it was only until after school things got interesting.

This huge monster, a drakon, her photographic memory flashed, was waiting outside the school.

"Hera," Percy cursed.

Sophie didn't have much time to ponder.

Sophie channeled all her feelings and blasted them at the drakon.

The drakon stumbled back, and Sophie knew that it was working.

Percy uncapped a pen, and the pen turned into a sword.

Percy stabbed at the drakon with the pen-sword. 

Annabeth put on a Yankees cap and vanished.

Tam and Nico were gathering shadows and blasting them at the drakon.

Keefe helped steady Sophie as she continued to bombard the drakon with her feelings.

But it was only when Jason summoned lightning and hurled it at the drakon when it finally disappeared.

Sophie broke the awkward silence. "Okay,"

"What was that?!"

--Percy--

Now I KNOW these kids aren't normal.

They literally helped defeat a drakon.

Normal people can't do that.

"Um," I say. "We're demigods. Half human, half god. I'm the son of Poseidon. Annabeth is a daughter of Athena, Nico is the son of Hades, Hazel is a daughter of Pluto, Frank is a son of Mars, Jason is a son of Jupiter, Piper is a daughter of Aphrodite, Leo is a son of Hephaestus, Calypso is the daughter of a Titan. Any questions?"

The new friends just stared at them in awe.

"I guess it's our turn." Sophie steps up.

"We're Elves."

Now it's our turn to stare at them in awe.

Annabeth laughs. "Elves don't exist."

Then Annabeth starts to doubt herself. "Right?"

"We're Elves." Sophie repeats.

"Elves have Abilities. They can manifest as a Hydrokinetic, Descryer, Telepath, Empath, Shade, Inflictor, Technopath, Guster, Charger, a Flasher Pyrokinetic, Enhancer, Polyglot, or a Teleporter."

"Or Talentless." Dex butts in.

"Right. A Hydrokinetic can control water."

Linh demonstrates by making shapes out of some water. Annabeth nudges me.

"A Descryer can sense someone's potential. A Telepath can read minds, an Empath can sense your emotions."

Keefe takes a bow.

--time skip--

"So cool." I mutter under my breath.

"Thanks." Our new friends all say in unison.

"Elves have really good hearing." Sophie explains.

"Is it true that elves have pointy ears?" Annabeth asks, always thirsty for knowledge.

Our new friends chuckle. "Elves have indefinite life spans. We can die, but not from old age. After a few centuries, you become one of the Ancients and then get the pointy ears."

Annabeth squints, and I have a feeling that she'll be asking a lot of questions later.

"We can explain more later." She says, and it feels like she read my mind.

I did, sorry.

I jump. "Was that you?"

Sophie nods. "Human thoughts are really loud."

"I'm not human."

"Close enough." Sophie only comes up to my chest. Sophie's that kind of person that makes you feel tiny when you dare to argue with them.

"Can we please get something to eat? I'm famished."

I nod, and lead them to a cafe.

Something tells me that thing's are gonna be weird with this group.
