Escape
I lifted their face gently in my hands, gasped and recoiled. No....
Oh hey guys, the author here, sorry for interrupting the story, I just wanted to say, I'm sorry my chapters have been so uneventful lately, I've kinda run outta ideas. So I'm just trying to build up tension, and maybe along the way an idea will pop into my head. But don't worry, this chapter's about to get good. *smirks* on with the book!
"No way," I whispered fearfully, "I thought she was dead." Well actually, she might be if I don't get her out of here, and fast. I couldn't let my sister die on me.
Shifting through all the crap on the table, I found a screw driver, (I don't know why there's a screw driver there just was okay) and starting trying to unscrew the chains from the walls. Of course, the chains were held fast by bolts.
In case you were wondering, a screw driver can't loosen bolts. Searching the room with no luck, I wandered out into the hallway looking for a tool to get the job done.
Then a screechy voice echoed through what it seemed the entire building, "Go get her!" Panicking, I ran into the sealed room and crawled under the table. The search for me had begun.
I heard pounding footsteps in the corridor outside the room, and flinched. This was not a good hiding place, cuz apparently they were onto me. Slightly whimpering, I curled myself into a tighter ball, and closed my eyes. Praying that the monster lurking outside wouldn't find me.
No such luck, Scorpiorilla came barreling into the room, muttering about how he needed to move up a rank, doing all the dirty work. Glowering, he reached toward my hiding place, and I bit my tongue to keep from screaming.
I had been so close to freedom! How was this fair!? But then the big ape's hand went right over me and snatched something off the table. He turned towards the girl suspended on the air. I mentally screamed at myself.
I am so freaking stupid! I forgot about the girl trapped in this stupid room in this stupid prison. The ape injected something into the girl's neck, and her eyes shot open and she started hyperventilating. Ignoring her desperate movements, Scorpio loosened the bolts with his bare hands, and slung the poor girl over his shoulder, then exited.
I counted to 10, then I shot out from my hiding place, and looked out from the door. The ape's retreating footsteps echoed on the barren walls, and taking a deep breath, I followed him. I couldn't lose Kaci a second time.
Aha! I told you! We're back in the game baby!
