Serendipity

(Cross-dressing Izuku x Katsuki)

Hello. I have been away from the platform for ages now. This time I am trying to pick up where I left off and this oneshot came into my mind as I was reading random yaoi manga series.

The flow of this was inspired by [INUI Nao] Utsukushii Koto.

Hope you'll like it.

                                                                                 ~~~~~~ 0 ~~~~~~
Izuku had broken up with his 5-year girlfriend Ochako. Out of his frustration and the eagerness to finally move on after months of sulking, moping and moving aimlessly, Izuku decided to clear his apartment unit of all the stuff Ochako had left behind: mainly consisting of clothes and cosmetics.
In the middle of collecting and throwing them out, a pinkish white soft dress caught his attention. He took it out to inspect and observes that it reaches a little above his knees. Still on a mission to improve and actually better his mood, a silly thought came to his mind which he acted on and decided to don the dress, applying a bit of gloss on his lips as well. He liked what his mirror was showing him, this made his heart flutter in a very strange but beautiful way. This odd antic of his became a habit which he does every Saturday night after a strenuous week of hard work. Izuku also bought additional clothes and accessories that look good on him, with colors that compliment his emerald eyes and a long dark green wig that looks almost shiny black in the dark.
One Saturday night, after strolling and checking out bookstores for a good novel or two, he decided to have a drink of alcohol. While heading to "Serendipity", the bar he frequents on his weekends, several men had turned their heads to look, sometimes stare at his beauty. He paid no actual heed at this, Izuku got used to this circumstance after few weeks of cross-dressing.
Finding his usual spot by the bar counter, the bartender instantly acknowledged him and began to prepare his glass of Cosmopolitan. Less than a couple of minutes and the drink was ready. The bartender slowly slides the glass towards him with a soft smile. Being a generous man he is, Izuku gave him an amount worth two glasses of the drink. But of course, one drink is more than enough for Izuku. He just wants to quench his almost dried throat and immediately head back home right after. Oh boy, he so was looking forward to the book he just bought. However, his thoughts were interrupted by a deep and husky voice that sent delicious shiver down his spine for no reason.
"Hello, foxy. Anyone told you you're a knockout?", Izuku chuckled at this. So straightforward. Usually, he won't bat an eye, on the other hand, there's something in his voice that made Izuku turn. Those-oh-so-silky blonde hair, red ruby eyes and ripped body.
Katsuki.
Izuku be damned. He immediately felt his heart do a little somersault in his chest. He was certain he had been so careful not to encounter any familiar faces during his strange schemes. Avoiding places that he knows being frequented by acquaintances from work. This was entirely unexpected.
But, Katsuki sure looks charismatic as ever in his crisp white long sleeves and tight black ripped jeans. It was on high school graduation when he last saw Katsuki. Being the nerd he was, Katsuki never looked his way despite being in the same class the whole timeframe of their senior years. Now, Izuku was grasping for the first words to let out.
"This is sorta weird that you get tongue-tied. Looking at you, I expected you'd be accustomed to shits like this." Katsuki still has the personality and confidence. This made Izuku feel something swell inside his racing heart.
Izuku found his small voice. Also the courage to express what he actually feels toward the man across him. The man he yearned for all those high school years.
It was on middle school that Izuku realized he gets attracted to both men and women. Well, Katsuki was his only die-hard crush. No one else had levelled to his level ever since then.
"Well, no one had the courage to sit beside me and just start talking." Izuku giggled at this.
"Those extras just wouldn't be good for you."
"And you are?"
"Hell I am. Need another drink?", Izuku looked down, he didn't realize he had already drank all of his Cosmo. "Yes, please. Spritz."
"You frequent here?"
"Not really. I just passed here and tried to check." A lie. Oh boy. Izuku hopes this night wouldn't make him a lie-blabbering machine.
"So do I. This makes me believe in shits about destiny then." Izuku swear could see Katsuki internally gag at this.
"That's bull. No such thing as that." Izuku sipped on his fresh Spritz and played on the rim of his glass.
"Hell yeah, baby. Whaddya say I take you home after this drink?"
"Depends which home." Katsuki smirked at this. Izuku could feel his heart thump against his ribs as if trying to wreck out of it. But he couldn't stop. His hormones driving his mind and body crazy. But this could be the death of him, Izuku is certain. He gotta step on the breaks before it's too late.
Izuku clears his throat. "I think, I better go." Katsuki was startled and immediately grabbed his wrist.
"I'm sorry if that made you uncomfortable. I won't try to hit on you then. We can just talk. Just a bit more. That okay with you?"
Izuku's chest constrict a bit. He had never seen Katsuki in a state like this. But well, they were not even acquainted to start with.
"Okay."
With this, Katsuki let out a loud sigh and realized he had been holding his breath. What's with this woman that made him think of flirting, which he so furiously hated with passion before. Damn, those emerald green eyes, maybe? No, it's the emerald green eyes for sure. And the freckles. Reminding him of a childish crush which is long history now. What was his name? Yes, Izuku. That mumbling nerd.
Katsuki could hear the sound that the woman makes as she swallows the Spritz. He clears his throat and just decided to take it head on.
"Actually, I wasn't planning on flirting. Heck, I hate that thing," Katsuki chugs down half of his untouched whiskey and rambled on. It was so unlike him. He kind of think he sounded like that nerd. "But right after I ducked inside this bar, I spotted you and immediately thought you look like someone I know. I must be crazy, he was a guy. Your eyes and freckles just look so much like the ones he has. If memory serves me right." Katsuki heard himself chuckle. He seems so out of character these past few weeks. Ever since those dreams of reuniting with Izuku started to visit his deep slumbers.
"These past month, dreams of him wake me up at night. Face wet with tears and sweat. Strangely enough, this bar keep popping out of nowhere. So the first thing I did when I woke up after the first week of those mini series of dreams was to look it up the internet until I came up with a perfect hit." Katsuki instantly hit the brakes on his emotions and apologized. "Sorry, must be the alcohol.." He turned in is seat and stopped on his ramble track when his ruby eyes met the emerald pair of the woman beside him. It surprised the hell out him as to why she was crying. Her eyes had that glint of sadness and also something very familiar with Katsuki. The glint he always sees on his parent's eyes when catching up. Love.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to just fire away. Let me give you a ride. To thank you for this. Means a lot to me, you know."
They had both decided to walk out of the now crowded bar after wiping their faces with the tissue that the bartender had gently placed on the counter. Katsuki had placed his palm on the small of the lady's back as he helps her through the thick crowd.
Katsuki lead the way to where he had parked his glossy black with orange trimmings 2020 BMW S 1000 XR.
Izuku didn't know how to react. To say he was surprised by the indirect confession was an understatement. He cried, feeling sad for himself, of how pathetic he was for trying to be someone else. He cried of how much love he had felt towards the other man, who still needs an explanation which Izuku couldn't fathom how to vocalize.
While being led by Katsuki to the front of the bar, he considered his options. To reveal his true identity or just flee and forget this ever happened. Izuku felt another constriction that started on his chest and had spread all throughout his veins. It was painful. An emotion that he swears reverberating to every inch of his bones.
But Izuku was afraid. Afraid that if he let this slip, nothing good will come of it, just heartache. His second heartache from the same person he had deeply admired for years before.
Izuku had only been once committed into a serious relationship after graduating from college, and that is with Ochako. Their break up had not been heart-shattering and tear-jerking however it was emotionally draining. The bond they have created after those 5 years had been beautiful, which they have both admitted during the break-up night.
Izuku's thoughts are again interrupted by Katsuki's voice. "Come to think of it. I spilled my heart out there without even knowing your name. I'm Katsuki Bakugou. You? This is a crappy situation, I know. But, please at least tell me..?"
Izuku could clearly see the hesitation in Katsuki's eyes plain as day. He took it as a cue to stop thinking and analyzing his choices. To hell with it. He was not the same Izuku as before, at least that is what he wants to believe in. Being the brave little soul he aspires to be, Izuku decided to let destiny do its job.
"Katsuki, I have to tell you something. Please listen. I won't take much of your time. I promise. I just.. I need to tell you this before we part ways..and maybe never cross paths again. This, what you see, is not me. This, is me hiding myself and tricking myself into believing that I am no longer the coward I was before. Still, this didn't change anything. Yes, I had appeared different. It made me happy for a while but it was just for a fleeting moment. I was still longing for things I actually wanted." Izuku slowly touched his lips and gently wiped the gloss off. Izuku looked straight into Katsuki's red orbs.
"This is me, Izuku. Your classmate in senior high. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to trick you. I never have expected to see you, of all people, after all these years. Last I heard was you were in California pursuing what you have always loved, cooking. I was beyond happy to hear the news that you were doing a wonderful job at what you do." Izuku is now bawling his eyes out but he continued threading on dangerous water. "I have always been attracted to you. I think I have loved you with all of my pure heart. I know you never paid attention to me, I understand. I am not ahead-turner anyway. However twisted it may sound, I am grateful that I have met you again. Thank you, Katsuki."
"What did you like about me, nerd?" This question had taken Izuku aback.
"Pardon?"
"I asked what you liked about me, freckles." Izuku found the question made him all warm and fuzzy.
"Your voice, hair and eyes. How strong you hold yourself up. Your smart and loud mouth. All of them seeped their way into my heart like a drug."
Izuku haven't even taken a deep breathe in after the last word slipped out of his mouth when Katsuki had grabbed him and smashed his mouth onto his. The kiss was forceful. So strong Izuku almost fell backwards but Katsuki caught him and supported him.
Katsuki couldn't believe what he was hearing at first. But the woman, who he later found out, was none other than Izuku kept on rambling. Very Izuku. Katsuki didn't know how to take everything in. He didn't know how to react. Hell, he didn't know how and why after finding out that he was deceived, joy is bubbling up inside him.
I must be really messed up, he thought. Well, messed up or not, what he kept longing for was right in front of him now. Within his arm's reach, crying so hard like the crybaby he is. Despite that, Izuku looked ethereal in his white dress that reaches his shin. He was also wearing white pumps that add over the effects of how beautiful his eyes shone.
Without gloss on his lips, Izuku still makes a drop-dead smile pushing his heart to thump in staccato.
After what Katsuki thought would be an endless ramble from the shorter boy, he still couldn't think of a rational reaction aside from sweeping Izuku off his feet and kiss the breath out of him. And tell him that he accepts everything about the man. Katsuki never really believed in destiny and shit, but this changed his outlook in a way he couldn't imagine.
Katsuki followed his guts and did the only rational thing he could come up with. He crushed his lips into Izuku's and swear he could taste thousands of flavour explode as their tongue met in a frenzy, he could pinpoint that it is mostly cranberries.
While they were lost in their kiss, droplets of rain started to fall on their faces. Soon it was pouring, which made them both let out hearty laughs.
"Sorry, Izuku. Bear with the ride for a bit, 'kay?", Katsuki apologized as he hopped on to his bike and started the engine and put on his black leather jacket. Izuku didn't notice the moment Katsuki had produced another helmet, not until it was handed to him.
"Aren't we going to let it pass first?"
"No, let's go home. We're already soaked anyway. My place is just 5 minutes away from here. Hop on." With that said, Izuku gracefully hopped onto Katsuki's bike with ease even while wearing his 5-inch white pumps and buckled his helmet.
They drove through the traffic that is slowly building up now. Katsuki breezed through the gaps between vehicles with so much ease despite how slippery the road is. He was even able to initiate that Izuku wrap his arm around his waist. The other boy had realized this and had clung both his arms tight on the blonde's stomach. A blush crept on Izuku's face as he felt the well-toned muscles.
Katsuki's two-storey appartment was located at a suburban villa west of the city. Identical off-white houses were lined up left to right but his stands out for its very minimalistic structure and wider garage area. He has it modified before moving in a month ago. Instead of having the roof in terracotta, they were done in grayish black. Katsuki had opened the garage instead of the main door and there, they went through a door that directly leads to the kitchen. Granite countertops, kitchen island with assorted fruits and a double door fridge few inches taller than are the welcoming sight. Izuku looked around to see boxes stacked by the corners of the house.
"Just moved here couple of weeks ago. Haven't find the time to unpack", Katsuki flashed him a sheepish grin that Izuku found so alluring.
"I'll help you unpack then." This both startled them but Izuku tried to find a lame rescue.
"I-I mean, if you want to. But if you don't need my help that is perfectly fine with me. I am just offering what I can, really. Really. Not much of a big deal. Right? Just tell me if you don't—"
"I like the sound of that, nerd. Your offer, not your rambling." Katsuki flashed him another of his signature smirk and it made Izuku swoon.
A/N: I love you all, in a Plus Ultra manner! Thank youuuu.
