Joining the Dots of the Past
"Therefore she will be named as.........." Narad stopped to gain a light nod from Dhriti with an evident smirk on his face.
"As??" Subhadra asked in complete restlessness.
"I'm getting a feeling that Devarshi has something else running through his mind." Kanha smirked at Dhriti
"What happened Devarshi?" Devki asked, observing him quiet for too long.
"Maharani Devki, today, this mighty Dwarka is blessed with a little flower, a princess.
Then would it be fair to give this little one a name without a celebration, without the presence of your people who must be equally fond of her? And it would a more joyous occasion when Dwarkadheesh Shri Vasudev, and Rajkumari Dhriti's family would be here as well. Isn't it?" Narad smiled.
"I knew it. See!" Kanha chuckled.
"Munivar? Look how smoothly he changed his plans Devi." Gauri looked at Saraswati.
"The truth is that, we should have already taken it into consideration that Devarshi would do it the way it is previously planned." Saraswati smiled.
"That's right Devi Saraswati.
Prabhu, Mata and Devi Shakti, it can't be changed what's written by the hands of Vidhata. Therefore everything must be in accordance to it. And what about me? I'm just putting trying to put things at their places." Narad chuckled.
"Your words have a point Devarshi. Its true we need a grand celebration for naming my niece.
And it wouldn't commence without the presence of Pitashree and everyone from Hastinapur and Indraprasth. Good, you reminded me to send a letter to everyone." Dau chuckled, as everyone gave a nod in agreement.
"Alright, now Dhriti and the little one– oh look, she's already asleep! They both need some rest. We better get going. We have a lot of work to do now." Revati smiled getting up, as everyone gradually left the room leaving the now family of three, at actual peace.
"Don't you think Priya, its time to take me out of your maya jugglery." Kanha smiled at here as she slowly straightened herself.
"But I'm loving to see you, not knowing atleast something about the future. You look less worried. To don't constantly keep thinking about it and that's what I want. My Kanha to be free from all this for atleast sometime." Dhriti held his hand.
"I am forever stable, and as long as you are with me, I will never feel restless about the future.
So.... Coming back to what I was saying, come on tell me." Kanha laughed, bringing back the topic.
"Fine fine. Its story time!" She giggled.
*Flashback*
"Afterall a daughter she is! I knew it from the day she was born, a taint to our family." A fatherly man, pushed his daughter.
"Go away to wherever she has fled to. Anyways your Siya Mata has become more dearer to you than any of us." Her mother cursed.
"A mother is not only the one who brings us in this world. Mother is the one who raise us with all the love and―" The younger one's sentence was left incomplete as she was dragged outside the house.
A lone tear escaped her eyelid as she slowly turned behind to see the doors of her house, the gates of her parents hearts, closed for her.....Forever.
She was stranded. She couldn't walk back towards those closed doors, neither did she wished to ask for shelter at Prabhu Ram's feet.
She had lost all her strength, both mentally and physically as she found her life as a mere foul play for the payback of her past deeds.
She gained back her senses, away from questioning Prajapati's descision to put this all in her way when her feet touched the cool waters of river Sarayu.
A sarcastic laugh escaped her lips as she thought the number of times people told that Sarayu always washed away everyone's sins and prosper their lives with happiness.
She fixed her sight at the reflection of a 14 year old girl with ivory skin ,almond eyes and waved black hair staring back her. Gazing deeper into her own reflection, she saw her tear stained face blinking more and more fresh streams of tears.
She was strong enough to bear things without flinching and budging away from her thoughts and opinions. But this dejection had put her to a test, which she had terribly failed.
She laughed at her own fate and at the fact that Sarayu had accidentally taken away all her happiness and now she was left with an empty soul.
"Siya Mata! I have failed at it Mate. I've seen enough and there's nothing more I can bear.
From the day I saw you seeking refugee to mother earth and returning back to your abode, nothing has been the same mate, nothing!
You've bore soo much and went through soo many trials Maate, but can't! I'm nothing near you mata. I'm not as strong as you.
Therefore, hey Janak nandini, If my devotion and love towards you has proven itself worthy and sustained enough without you, take me under your shelter mata. I surrender my soul at your feet, hey Jagjanani. Accept your Indu's tears." She further sobbed, shutting her eyes as she let out.
"Indu......" Janki's cosmic form beamed at Indu's lonely figure.
"Mata!" Her glistening eyes looked at her as Siya opened her arms, gently embracing her.
"I was kicked out of my own house, just because a daughter is a burden to the family." She cried.
"Indu..... Its a pride for every parent to have a daughter. And when, it's someone like you, they should've considered themselves more lucky my dear. A daughter is not a burden.
Think about it. Mithila had no male heirs. It was just the four of us sisters." Sita smiled, wiping the former's tears.
"But your father, has proved how reactionary and conservative he is.
From constantly questioning my purity to treating his own child like this, he shall not go without a 'reward' for his actions child, he'll pay for everything. In this birth itself." She spoke with rage slowly building up inside her.
"Guide me Mata! Tell me what is left for me to do, so the purpose of my life is over and I can leave this world and come to you.
Ayodhya is empty without you Mate! When Lakshmi leaves a place with tears in her eyes, there not much prosperity left behind.
Prabhu has no will in living his life without you except for the sake of these people of Ayodhya, who are now losing humanity." Indu explained, still not leaving her grip.
"This marks the beginning of the end of Treta Yug dear. People will start becoming selfish, greedy for power and this Orthodox society would rise.
Wars will take place, not for killing demons but fighting one's own family to establish righteousnes.
These tears are not worth it Indu, you're much more than this. Now compose yourself dear, its time for me to go." Maithili smiled, seeing the other one returning back to her usual composure with a small beam on her face.
"You call me Siya Mata na? Your prayers and this immense devotion of yours would've never gone unanswered Indu.
You've won me purely with your innocence and no greed and expectations in return.
Therefore, Indu, this Swamini gives you the boon that in Dwapara Yug, your soul will take a birth on this Mrityu Lok as my daughter. You'll bring prosperity and reformation around you and prove the world that daughters are not burdens, infact they are just a little bundle of joy." The celestial energy surrounded the two of them, as Lakshmi blessed her with a boon.
"Why me Mata? They are thousands of your devotees everywhere." She questioned back.
"Yes, there are thousands of devotees, but not everyone have success in unfolding the true meaning of this spiritual surrender dear.
Sharanagati, means total surrender to the Lord.
It means reaching at a stage where you want nothing but serve the supreme and his consort. You've won my heart by serving to my Raghunandan, when his Sita was not around.
Your bhakti is selfless Putri. You behold intelligence. This mere supression of your opinions by your family members won't stop the fate from taking over." She explained, as the young girl nodded with a smile studded on her parted lips.
"It won't work like that, Indu. It is more wrong to tolerate injustice instead of opposing it.
Your purpose on earth will come to an end only when you succeed in opening your father's eyes and show him the power of spirituality in this material world. Rise Indu...." Janki smiled for the final time before vanishing, leaving behind a small lotus as a sign of her presence.
*End of Flashback*
"So, she's our Indu! She was definately missed.
I finally have someone in my team now." Kanha joyed, slowly running his hand over his little one's forehead.
"So..... How does it feel to finally be out of my Maya? I'm glad I was able to do something I never thought I would." Dhriti giggled gaining another nod from Kanha.
"You and your constant showers of love on everyone! I can't interrupt even if I want to. The way people love you, always wins my heart.
The one you devotes himself to Lakshmi would directly serve Narayan, for we both are no different." Kanha smiled.
"What do you think, what name must be the name decided by Gauri and Saraswati for out little one." Dhriti wiggled her brows.
"Taking into consideration how much the two of them love you, its definately something related to you, not me." Kanha laughed.
"I can sense possessiveness." Dhriti joked, resting her head on Kanha's shoulder as her other hand protectively rested on her newborn.
"No no, this is going the other way." Kanha chuckled.
"First of all, she's my Shri!" Dhriti mimicked him.
"You've will be holding that one single sentence for eternity." Kanha teased back.
"I have full rights to do so afterall." She stated as they spent the rest of their night talking about anything and everything while Dhriti didn't realize when she fell asleep, eagerly waiting for their princess to finally get a beautiful name.

"Arya Putro! Mata Kunti! Where is everyone? Look, Dau Bhaiya has sent a letter from Dwarka." Draupadi called out, holding the scroll in her hands, wanting to immediately open and read it.
"Wait, wait Panchali. Don't kill this excitement. I'll read the letter myself. I didn't hear anything." Sahadev chuckled stopping her midway.
"Give him, give him the letter Panchali. Let him read." Yudhishthir smiled as Draupadi handed it over to Sahadev.
"Pitashree will you keep smiling at the letter or read it out to us as well?" Prativindhya looked at Sahadev.
"We've became Mamashrees! Didi has given birth to a–" He grinned before Sutasom cut him.
"― a boy!" He jumped, giving a high five to Prativindhya.
"Aye, it must be a girl. I want a daughter." Panchali stopped them.
"Wait my dear children, let him speak." Kunti smiled, asking Sahadev to continue.
"We've won the guessing game, Jyesth you lost!.....Its a girl!" He finally let out
"See! I knew it was a girl. I needed a daughter afterall. Dwarka got a little princess." Panchali and Kunti beamed at each other.
"I'll go offer some sweets and flowers to the God." Saying so, Kunti left for her chambers.
"Baldau has invited all of us to Dwarka, for the naming ceremony.
I knew it, he was more excited anyways to make it this grand." Bheem chuckled, reading the remaining letter.
"But not all of us can be present there at the same time." Yudhishthir let out with a sad smile.
"Jyesht is right, the four of us can't leave the capital at the same time. Atleast one of us needs to stay back." Sahadev joined their political discussion as Panchali's gaze shifted towards he son.
She motioned Nakul to look at his eratically quiet behavior as Nakul nodded, putting a hand on his son's shoulder.
"What happened Shatanik, aren't you happy for your favourite one?" Nakul smiled, bending down at his level.
"I am Pitashree....." He slowly replied, resting his little head on his father's well built shoulder.
"Now I have to make up for this mood swing, isn't it? Come, let's go." Nakul smiled, picking him up.
"And I don't throw tantrums. You all tease me without any reason." He corrected him with a small smile.
"Yeah yeah, I can see that." Nakul laughed, entering his room.
"Hm.... Tell me, what's the reason of this unusual worry on your face?" He calmly asked him.
"Pitashree, now that my Bua has got a little daughter, my little sister, I won't be her favourite nephew anymore na?" The three year old innocently asked, making Nakul suppress his laughters.
"You were never her favourite in the first place. I am her favourite!" Nakul joked, successfuly making his son laugh taking him out of his gloomy mood.
"Just kidding, she loves you a lot. What made you think that she'll suddenly stop loving you?" Nakul asked him.
"Nothing, maybe because we haven't met for so many months, almost a year now." The little one replied.
"But really tell me Pitashree, she'll be the same Bua, or a different one? Will she still play and tell us bedtime stories or she'll turn into a busy mother?" Shatanik, typically over thought.
"Oh Shatanik! You're such an over thinker.
Let me tell you one thing. Your Bua, has been the same since childhood. She hasn't changed even a bit from the inside.
She's still a kid who will frown once you defeat her in gilli danda.
You know, whenever she's around, Bhrata Bheem still relies on her for his late night hunger issues.
Now don't tell the last one to Mata and Panchali otherwise Bhrata Bheem will hit me." Nakul spoke with a straight face making Shatanik crack up with his usual laughter.
"I must thank you for telling all these things to me Pitashree. Including the last one." He stuck a tongue out at him before running away as Nakul sighed.
"Whatever! I'm still the favourite one.
I know her more than you!" Nakul teased back, walking behind him.
"Wish Bhrata Arjun was here, to fight with me on this topic." He hushedly smiled..
